    For those still interested; if your device is not connecting, disconnect device from laptop and take the battery out of the device. Reconnect device and click update. Click install after search has completed. If you get an error saying "application loader could not connect" disconnect device from laptop, put battery back in, wait a few seconds and reconnect device back to laptop with battery installed, click "retry. This should work.

      Hi GoldenGeisha79,
      I have a Blackberry 9900 Bold and it is my enterprise phone, I have tried with my IT team for more than a week to resolve the issue. At last, your advise, resolved my issue. Without battery, i have updated the software and then issue fixed. Thakns for the clue

      the are saying that there is no new update , so there is nothing to install

    1:40 you can still complete the procedure if the blackberry will not connect. Instead of the screens shown here, you will see "Blackberry cannot connect...". Click the Update button, then on the next screens enter the device password, click the Repair button, then "View other versions" button, select a version and click "Install". If you get an "... error updating s/w only available to ... active subscriptions", download the current version and then run it on your PC. You can find other versions by browsing
    na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp. Retry the install with the current version, check the backup option, mine said it failed but I clicked "Ignore" and kept going. When the update completes, enter password (PIN), click "Connect" when prompted to Activate wireless. If you're on a BES (Enterprise Server) contact support for an activation password, then click email icon, select Enterprise Activation, enter email address and activation password... enter your voicemail phone number if any. Even though my backup said it failed, I was pleasantly surprised to see everything was restored (photos, email, contacts, apps even wallpaper) except some apps data like GPS addresses. good luck - God bless you & your phone!

      Use the link above to find (I should have said) "your" current version on your phone and run it on your computer

    hi i have an error i really need to fix now :/
    it loads up with the blackberry loading screen then it says
    error 102
    reload software
    visit the website
    Installing Device Software
    i went on the website downloaded the desktop software
    and i connected my phone to the computer and it says it cannot communicate
    with the connected devise
    and it wont let me do a update either
    please help
