Now how about we admire Angus Young from AC/DC.. He's been performing since 1973 with one of the world's best hard rock and roll bands. He doesn't touch alcohol or drugs. But is a very heavy cigarette smoker and has been married to the same woman for over 40 years. ✌️❤️
They ruin families and they people that are addicts will do anything to get their their next fix they even betray & off their own family or close friends for money & drugs it’s like they are demons !!!cold selfish no soul people
Brian Wilson is another prime example of someone who nearly lost his life because of excessive use of LSD which left him partially brain damaged which is why he looks kind of spacey. 😢😮😢😮
It just goes to show you how bad these artist are hurting. They went through a lot of issues with family and their career .They still made a huge impact on the music 🎶 🎵 world 🌎.
I saw Layne in a three piece suit at the start of their set on Lollapolooza in 93 and it was like 95 degrees that day! Needless to say he took the jacket tie vest and shirt off after playing Would the first song to start the show! Very charismatic singer and great stage presence! His voice very unique and an unbelievable range! RIP Layne!
Jimi had bipolar disorder. He even sang about it in Manic Depression. His constant energy from one gig to the next was burning out the band. He died of an accidental overdose of the German version of a sleeping pill that was much more powerful than the US version of the same drug. I watched a special on this. The German pill was 8x the US version. Alcohol may have had something to do with it, but with his mania he needed something to help him sleep.
Most of us have some sort of bipolar or extreme depression we try to hide behind drink or drugs because life can be much too painful for those of us who are very deep thinkers, and when we try to shut off our minds at night, it just makes us think more deeply, and eventually we think I don't want to be in this continuous pain any more whether it's it's purposely planned or an accidental ,OD, we just want to escape from a plan that none of us could see coming, or just didn't want too.😢
In America if an artist is involved with drugs the police don't take action....If there is an artist involved in drugs in Malaysia, they will be arrested....This is in America, bad behavior makes the artist adored and famous...in Malaysia, if an artist does a bad habit, there is no forgiveness for the artist....Must be cursed by the fans...when you become an artist, you must behave well in order to be an example to the community if the artist behaves badly, what example do you want to set an example for...
It's nobody else's business what an artist does , if they act badly it's down to them, they're not here to set an example, they're here to make music. It's people in power that should be setting examples, politicians, police, army, judges etc etc
I just came across this and I need to ask you... Did you know any of these people? Some of these people I knew/know. They were/are my friends. I understand the fascination with musicians, actors etc, but these kinds of videos showing people in their final hours ie: the photo of Lemmy that is the opening photo, can be very painful to those who called him a friend. It is normal to be curious about people that we admire or look up to, but there is a fine line between informative and distasteful. Instead of talking about their addictions and downfalls, why not focus on the things that they contributed. I respect what you are doing theoretically, but it is also important to be considerate that some of the images can be hurtful to those left behind. I mean no disrespect, but felt that it needed to be said. Especially coming upon Lemmys birthday... just saying.
Weiland didn't overdose. His artery in his left ventricle was almost blocked completely. His heart stopped. Granted his years of substance abuse led to this condition but he he didn't od
@tuomasandersson3889 I've been politox for 40years. Stopped since 15, substituted. O.k. In Italy they consider us criminals, not poor, sick people. I think it's both wrong. ..Simply that. 🙃🙂
No that's complete wrong, it was the Stones management that went after the royalties as the Verve used their music without permission BUT when the band found out they gave up the royalty and let the Verve keep them. So Keith did the decent thing actually
I'm an addict I've been clean for a while now and I fight every day to stay clean
AnthonyRaymond-g1j Keep up the good work -stay strong.

These stories make me admire their talent while feeling sorrow for what they went through.
Let's hear it for Janis and her drug of choice heroin. 🎉
You mean put themselves through...
@@boopster4033 Nothing ignorant about feeling sorrow...

Welp it did fuel this great music....Sadly

Why, in ourdays U call everything as a "sickness" - he simply was addicted, like nearly everybody in the 70ties, 80ties..😮🥲
He was murdered ! Come on
Number 25 .Parts of your video was showing Brian Johnson.Brians the one who replaced Bon Scott.Brians the one that wears the cap.
Iggy Pop shows that you should NEVER take off your shirt in your 80's.
why not?
Yes , I agree . Keep your shirt on .
Has more money than this comment
He's not 80 yet
@richardwellend3806 like it matters
Chronic pain can drive anyone crazy....
Sid didn't play on the Pistol‘s record it was Glen Matlock and Steve Jones
Glen is credited with "Anarchy in the UK" then he left. Steve Jones did the rest of the bass parts as Sids playing was mediocre at best.
Christ. I thought I was going mad just then.
Moon? Bonzo? The Walrus?
And so of course they completely ignore greatest and most influential, Mister Johnny Thunders... 💔
Keith Richards on 4th? You must be joking. Long live Keith.
I found the skit about Bon Scott irritating. They showed Brian Johnson instead.
Cry Baby
A deadly sin.
Same as the clip about Keith Richards it showed more of Mick Jagger
Layne died from a speedball. Coke and smack mixed together
so what.
@ronchasr6656 nobody dies from just coke. So that's what
If your going to tell the story, get it right. It matters.
I kept expecting Johnny Thunders to appear on this list.
Lets hear it for Keith Richards liver, Chadlie Watts kept his a
Secret. 😂
Chadlie, was he the bassist for the Strones?
@@PaulFormentos no dude he was the drummer

Consider including more visuals or archival footage of the artists during their peak and struggles to enhance viewer engagement.
Johnny Thunders???
Marilyn Manson???
Lou Reed???
Rowland S Howard???
You have to make a part 2
Scott Stapp
Interesting, reliable video with one error : n.1 should belong to Ozzy
neither should hendrix. and no mention of john phillips.
What the didn't include Elvis presley, Jim Morrison of the doors
I would’ve thought if 3 guns n roses members were in there then Steven would’ve made the cut.
You're right.
Jimmy Morrison looked a little like Rick Nelson in the face. 😢 😮 😢 😮
Guys I know your pain and unless you've been there you'll never understand it !!!
You should have included GG Allan. No one was worse than GG.
He was a fuckin whack job
Bad addicts. I used to idolize them until the truth came out.
I still idolize some of them because they had beaten their addiction. Don't judge
@@Squeakslacombe Do ya pray to them?
Sid didn't play those songs. Steve did.
Yes Jesus I love you for the Bible tell you so

David Byron, Gary Thain. Uriah Heep?
#1 I don’t get kids today I see kids wearing his stuff but kids don’t understand I’m a 90s girl I get that but he is not good for your kids😵💫
All Along The Watchtower is Bob Dylan's
And Jimi is not in addiction for sure
What about Whitney Houston’s?
She wasn't a rock star.
What about Courtney Love?
She must have a
Big tolerance. 😢

Duane and Greg Allman as well....
Why even get into drugs to begin with ?
Why are U all psichiatrists, in our days? Addictions aren't a sickness..
They are indeed. Sad if you can't accept this simple medical fact.

THANKS for the NEWS.?
This is totally false! Layne did not die from a coke overdose! Get the facts straight
They can't always make drugs a daily life
RIP ANGELS 😇
Ya they can. His wife overdosed him.
Keith Richard's accepted the rolays for the Verve's song. That's all I need to know about him. Garbage personality and could care less.
