being a city slicker, i know nothin about farms, or farming. great thing about watching this channel is the insight into what exactly goes on, the hard work involved. Its also somewhat scarey to see that because of the cold weather, the grass is not growing as it should. and your analysis of the gulf stream is more than can be expected from the news. makes for grim predictions of the future of farm grown produce in Ireland in the not so distant future.
Your better off 🤪
I would love to go back in time and show farmers from the forties what tractors will be capable of lol
Love your humorous one liners you slip in occasionally Adrian, makes me chuckle 🤣
Love the girls bicycles left in the road like their Dad's Quad to guide the Heffers.😊
Great video as usual Adrian.😊
Watching from a sleeper bus in Vietnam. Makes the 18 hour journey much shorter. You’d miss home
Now that’s something you don’t hear everyday! I don’t think I could handle 18hrs on a train 🙈. Safe travels 👍
I know what you mean about working around glass, I can still remember the day I made bits of a Ford back window using the power washer. I can't count the times I fell for " catch the fence and close it, I'm sure it's off" only to turn around and see the others laughing after I got the shock 😂😂😂 Great video as usual. Thanks for sharing your week
First
Sunday’s are always good when Adrian uploads
I've broken many a match when two things have broken in quick succession... never hit myself with the hammer on purpose yet, but i'll keep it in mind!
Off topic but does water get to flow from the yard to your silage? I'm just thinking if you had a spillage, maybe something worse than water? It also struck me that Adrian would be some asset with a few partners in a very big farm - an amazing agricultural engineer, you'd marvel at his discipline and the standard he achieves in the non-biological aspect of his operation, and that is not to take from his stockmanship, etc - ah equally as professional here. I think he will win awards when the society gets to appreciate what food production is really all about. Now I am sure like everyone else he faces challenges which are outside the scope of media, but he is some boy alright, great family, etc - an true inspiration for farmers starting out who learn from his experience.
Love the humor thrown in to the video Adrian, we grew up with that in the 70's 😁
Good job that you fixed that door on the tractor in time, wasn’t done on a farm I work at and didn’t the door on the Massey 7615 I was leaving the yard with fly open and shatter 🙈
Great video adrain always nice to watch your videos on a Sunday keep them coming cause they are interesting to watch 👍
The bottom field turned out really nice.Worth the work.
You have had terrible weather conditions. Thanks for explaining what you are doing that helps us that aren't farmers.
Hi Adrian, great to get a field update even if the weather and conditions are so wonky. Over where I am in the States we are dealing with heat domes sending temps into the 'broil the humans' range along with humidity which makes it even worse. 🌋😬 The calves are growing like crazy, as they do, and looking great. I hope the fence busting by the herd settles down or you may need to set out some trail cameras if that would work to see if critters are bothering them.
I laughed at your ending remark about assaulting your own finger to short-circuit the 'rule of three' incidents. I hope you can figure out something less painful! Lol! Anyway, have a good week and keep safe. Cheers from Summerville, South Carolina! 😊🌞🌴🌸
And Central Florida.
Lol, knock the eyebrows off a bald faced dog! Never heard that one before, love it! 🤣
Always something 🤪your fields are beautiful.
Another great video has always Adrian Sinead and girls 👍
Your always a busy man Adrian
Well done Adrian! When I was a kid my Mum told me how important it is to wear gloves when handling fertiliser in the back of a spreader 🧤
Why did she say that
@@michaeloconnor9809 Cause it’s not good for your skin as fertiliser is a chemical.
Good luck with everything on the farm ahead & thanks for the videos 👍👍👍
I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now and really have to commend you on your animal husbandry, cattle are always in super order. You’re on top of your game Adrian, just using your eyes to evaluate your stock, seen others where they’ll talk the talk or show you there fancy sponsored app that does it all but are always showing poor examples with every excuse available. Great to watch.
That tine harrow seeder combo is a brilliant looking tool.
Keep up the good work 😎
Hi noticed you have a stihl multi , if its the four stroke cycle type, please make sur you adjust thr vaves regulary and ispect the valve sping caps for any cracks/damage as mine broke dropping valve into cylinder, breaking piston crown, price to repair exceeds new one. Would have stuck with a 2 strke in hindsight. Love your videos, your work ethic puts other on youtube to shame. Wishing you and your family good health and happiness.Regards Mike and Julie
I sold my 4 stroke a while back and returned to 2 stroke, much better top end grunt.
Them 4 strokes were troublesome, never heard of a spring cap cracking though but they had to be warmed up for 5mins before use or had a tendency to cook the crank shaft bearing. I’ve done a few stihl top end rebuilds for people, i used third party parts ( china’s finest ) which have stood the test of time. A third of the price of stihl.
Thanks lad 👍
Great video Adrian 👌
Nice one enjoyed 🚜🏴👍
Might try that small tap with the hammer 😂 probably save a fortune 😂
Great video lad well done. This seems to be the worst year ever for cattle breaking electric fences
great video, your work is relentless, a very enjoyable 10 minutes.
Hi Adrian, great video, I'm interested in getting a tine harrow and seeder like your one, can you give us updates on the field you just over sown in the coming weeks, it would be interesting to see the outcome of it, thanks!
My OCD loves your cab cleanliness inside 🙈
Great video as always Adrian the calf’s are looking great 👍👍👍👍
Thankyou . The Fouth of july was wuit for me .
We are very dry in utah . People did light off fire works but conservatively . I was glad .
Thankyou for teaching sbout grass .
Interestingly we have a huge high pressure system stalled at the bottom of Australia, causing all kinds of weird wind direction and weather
Which is also affecting New Zealand.
Hi adrian can you do a follow up on some video of that paddock you overseeded to see how it recovered and your opinion on that type of overseeder method
Adrian get a ring hitch eye for around 30 euro and weld it on the roller. Maybe even lenghten the drawbar when you are at it to make it easier to reverse.
Nice one Adrian
Great video as usual👍
Now you just need to get some sunshine to get that overstating to take off.
Here’s to wishing for some ☀
Is all of Ireland hilly like we can see off in the distance in your videos? Adrian, you cannot tell me that you cannot take a bite from the fencer!? Those are nothing. Good to see the young ladies out helping you. Sure hope they take up farming too.
Wonder what is driving them through the fences ?
Quick fix of door handle replacement. Went so smoothly. Thank you for sharing. 🐄
i think the best thing u could do with the driblle bar is take it off the tanker
I actually like it apart from the cost to purchase it, i also worry of how it will hold up. But in relation to grass, i can have cows back on paddocks in half the time compared to the spread plate. Way less leaf contamination.
@@IFarmWeFarm alot around here stoped using them, problems with coming back in the silage
Great video
I know it must be hard but what a great life you must have your land is beautiful
Great job Adrain, I don't think there is anything wrong with putting the slurry on first, you just have to work with the weather windows unfortunately . That seems like a great way to repair a field without complete reseeding Just need it to warm up now for the grass to grow.🙄🙄🤷♂🤷♂
Deer running through cattle will spock them have seen happening
Happened to me few years ago the same people said it was deer it was two dogs I got them I went looking at the cattle a different time people came home from work and let their dogs out that's was my case l ended up losing 3 cattle over it keep a good eye out
losing as in they ran away and were never found?
Could be thunder, had alsians chase cattle too, but lurchers chasing hares would be a common cause. Deer pull down electric fences.
As usual Adrian first class video, really enjoyed it good luck to you all
I love this channel ❤❤
It's deer that's spooking the cattle, we have deer appearing more frequently here in Leitrim the last 10 years, the last year there's enough of them that there's loads of incidents of cattle being spooked and sometimes badly injured
Adrian, two things….
1.) In my 49 years on this planet I have never seen rural foxes 🦊 as brazen and as bold as I have the last 2 years. I have a set less than 5 meters from the back kitchen door under a garden hedge and I’ve a big German shepherd yard dog who hardly lets the postman come down the lane - we used see (in our younger years 😂) an urban fox standing on his hind legs eating half eaten chicken and chips from the ‘Chicken Hut’ outta the bin when we were finally leaving McPhails in Drawda at 4 or 5 am after playing a rugby match and getting hammered after it while ‘locked in’ - he’d just take his head outta the bin and watch us walk past 3ft behind him with his snout still half in the hole of the bin 😂😂😂 but… a rural fox…. NO WAY would ya ever see anything other than his tail disappearing into the ditch late at night far in your headlights distance. Not so now…. They’re half domesticated I feel - That’s what’s driving your calves thru the fence, I’ve no doubt.
2.) and I don’t want to get them lovely and helpful young girls in trouble but tell them fire those bikes into the ditch but standing upright when helping you - I honestly don’t know how many times I’ve seen calves break through a guide or a tape and hop all over a discarded bike lying on the ground - smashed spokes aren’t great for hocks or fetlocks PLUS…. New bike wheels are expensive too 😅
Great video Adrian. Enjoyed watching as usual. 👍🏼👍🏼
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ thank you for the well wishes about the 4th❤❤
Similar to your heifers i have cattle getting spooked a few times this year and it never happened before. Im putting it down to Foxes. Loads of them around here.
Good stuff
Grass is growing very bad this year
Great video I had the same problem earlier on in the year my thinking was it was a fox have seen a few since coming up around the house
the very same thing happened to us on Wednesday with ours could not explain it very unsettled calves were two farms away when we got them we in Cork
Hi lad that was a great job on the land 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Rolling paddocks after cows finish them spreads cow dung pats and it helps regrowth and also will prevent cows from leaving large patch of grass next time around
Wise Decision fixing that door Handle JCB 3cxs have lost many the Glass door over that Fair play you never waste a Minute,
Yards are Spotless, How’s the 50 B .
Co. Meath
Great video u always can come out with a joke r 2 nice 👍
Great update. Does it help you out with me hitting my finger with a hammer yesterday, I missed the nail and caught my finger full pelt, a few choice words got said. 🙂 This year is really weird weather wise, the winds have been cold but it seems to be warming up a little now. Fingers crossed that summer arrives soon 😉🌞🌞🌞
Another good 1 Adrian
"Things always happen in 3s" So I'll hit myself with the hammer to get to over with < Legend. :)
I seen a thing that brown coats on black cattle is a copper deficiency
There’s a very good reason I wouldn’t make a good farmer I’d be wanting to name all those calves and turn them into pets , their just to cute😜
🤣🤣🤣did you hit your self with the hammer😂
Go corner to corner, then heavy roll, would be my choice
Been a tough year, weather is supposed to improve
Hi Adrian 🚜 (from Canada)! When we travel to Ireland, could we find ice cream or butter sourced from your farm? Thanks~
Iv noticed the lack of insects in my garden ,consequently the birds are eating all my raspberries, and eating loads of bird food
What company did you get the leather cusions for the massey
I think it was amazing or eBay 🤔, if you Google search leather tractor seat covers they should pop up
Where did ur yellow apv spreader go
Sold it last year, have a video explaining why . Air seeder is much better for this setup
Dribble bar is disaster way it leaves lines. I have stopped using it
I’d bet someone’s dog may have given them a chase through your fences?!
Hi Adrian do you thing of the quad spreader do you thing you will buy one
Great video/jobs Adrian, nice camera/drone shots👍 What about investing in some spy cameras, dot them around the fields, solve the mystery 🤔 my son in USA did, only in his case it was a coyote 🐺 spooking the live stock 😮
Have a wonderful day Adrian and family ❤
The gulf stream is definitely stuck, between the WEF and the UN !
Some sorta manipulation that's for sure, grass shortage and no chlorophyll, as thon sob bill gates said "he'll block the sun next"
Chimp.
Manipulation 4sure, bill gatez said he'd block the sun,and utube block comments
do you have a problem with lamping as that can spook catle in to runing we use to sufferwith it a lot
👍👍👍
Worrying dog, would be my pick
I do hope nothing sinister is going on with the cattle, like some idiot. Today is the 7th of July, we live in the South of England and we had to put the heating on for a couple of hours today, the weather has gone mad. 👍
No i highly doubt that, a fox/dog or deer would be the lines we’re thinking. Fire is literally here nearly every evening since the beginning of June! It’s just a funny old year
Were you practicing for the follow the wire buzzer game at the local GAA at the end there Adrian?
😀🚜👍
Hello how are you. Will u please tell me name and make of your mig welder
❤❤
Given the massive increase in fert products of late, have you considered the impact to your business by NOT using it?
Thanks Adrian
You must to use some fertiliser but having the PH in your soil correct is very important, liming when it’s needed saves a lot on fertiliser usage
I hates people closing doors in 1 motion that's why they ware. Close the door gentle on the latch and then push it in till it locks in place 2 motions in closing a door 🙌😅 I knows lad with 2020 landini and door hedges came out of place by slamming it. So I had to teach him in how to close a door on a 70k tractor 😅
A dog 🐕 might be chasing 🤔 your calfs too.
😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Maybe a stray dog on the scene
I'd be worried about dogs chasing the cattle.
HAARP!

Sadly, the highest court in our land turned us back into a monarchy on July 3rd. I mourned the death of our democracy and rehearsed my genuflections
Maybe you've got a bigfoot that's spooking them?
More like the fairies. ☺️
