I think I have been in at least 100 Goodwill stores over the years and have never seen them sell jewelry this way. Shiela Cushenbery I found out by researching that they buy these jars online not necessarily in stores. Could have been shared by the host in exchange for ppl showing up to mutiple views.
The American Flag heart bracelet you found is called a snap bracelet , u can snap off the flag and replace it with other snap tops, u can order them online or go to a local jewelry store! Nice find ☺️☺️ also the pendant you found right after is made by Vintage Marjorie Baer, another good find! Some of her pendants sell between 100-200$
very neat i went through the whole jar with you a magnet needs to be on table with you to see what won't stick then can look for markings later it was fun
I looove your lil jar with jewelry, I always check my in my local thrift stores and buy vintage jewelry!!!! Love allllllll your finds, wish you can show every single lil thing, for sure i will watch it 😍😍😍😍🤩☺
I loved watching you. Keep the jewelry and mix and match it to make it your own. I would have been over the top about a few of those chains. And that dragon was gorgeous!!
The stone in the dolphin pendant looks like jadeite. The "stalactite slice" pendant is purple chalcedony wrapped in heavy gauge silver wire. I wish our local Goodwill would do this sort of thing. Enjoyable "treasure hunt". Thanks, for uploading.
It was fun to watch. I "Goodwill" all the time but my jewelry jars are $3.99. I usually find a bracelet or necklace that I like . It's modern day treasure hunt.
Your haul was pretty cool The goodwill in San Diego is the bomb and they have high end designer items. A lot of them. The really good stuff they keep in a glass unit. Several of them. Yes I would like to see more of these hauls. It was fun
Great purchase. I am a jeweler and gem stone collector. You had a few very nice items. That last pearl earring was a Tahitian pearl. You also had many nice taxco silver bangles. Those are collector items and can be as much as 100.00 for 1 silver bangle. I would love to know where your goodwill store is as if buy that in a heartbeat. I'd say from the quick look at what you had was at least a value of a few hundred. The one pearl alone could be worth a few bills.
I used to buy these by the armload. They used to be $9.99. Now the prices are a lot more because of the fact that good stuff has been found in them... I have found a ton of it. I have seen them at thrift stores for as much as $249.99. I would say whoever called them "Greedwill" got it right. That was one reason I always hit Goodwill for the jewelry bags, jars. No more fun like it used to be
I have notice that over the years they have became more expensive and they don't have as much for a time and then they have a lot but very expensive so people buy them.
The best places to shop is the Recovery shop run by the Red Cross cancer society, they always have real treasures real high end stuff for very good fair prices, like the Chanel jacket I bought for 100 dollars, this jacket had the new tags inside a pocket with the value of over 1,500 dollars and it was authenticated by experts. Fortunately for me I live in an area where very prominent people live and their donations are incredibly expensive but I love how this shop always uses very fair prices and also once in a while they have all the store 50% off and also weekly specific color tags are 99c with no tricks or exceptions like Goodwill.
That beautiful green stone is Jade. Right now valued more than 2 x's the value of gold. Keep it! Or, sale it when you need some $ cha-ching! That cross is abalone. So beautiful:-)
@@CeeVee714 well there ate alot of people that have no knowledge of gems. Jade is the most expensive stone on the planet. The majority of the decent items are being sold online ....in the stores you will find a great deal of resin, Made in China, mismatched dishes, outdated clothes, along with furniture which needs to be refinished and/or broken. You can easily spend $300 on miscellaneous stuff before finding a nice item with a value of $25.00. Thanks for sharing it was nice seeing all the goodies ,I work at Goodwill and and have never see it like that but maybe on shop goodwell have to see on there website thanks again.💍💍💍💍
I was looking at some of the stuff she's got. Quartz Crystal, adventurine, a lot of silver. Some of the stuff she should take to a jewelry store and get it appraised or get the stones checked. They may be the fake stuff but some of them might be precious stones and cheap settings. I found quite a few or I've had really good stones but nickel or alloy settings. I got a earring and necklace set one time. The settings cheap but the stones we're real! Ended up getting $75 for 3 amethyst stones! So it does pay to look sometimes. Especially if people don't know their jewelry or their precious stones / crystals.
Neat! Would be good to add a bit on to the end of the video showing what ended up silver, how many rings, what you intend to do with it all, and if you feel you got your moneys worth etc. My father loved stuff like this!
That managers at the Goodwill take the gold and give you the costume jewelry and a little bit of silver to get you happy and come back been there done it
People who work at Goodwill are not allowed to ever shop at any Goodwill as long as they are employed. Not to say they can't hide something for a friend but...look at the signs on the door. The workers are usually nice people who enjoy their jobs it seems. Very friendly. I do not "round up" however. They get enough!

Not all of the silver colored jewelry, was silver but you know that. I haven't watched the whole thing Makeup_Zombie may have called out the genuine silver pieces. Yay!!☄️
The jar was a cool idea to unveil, very interesting, would of liked it to end with all item nicely played out showing all the rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants in piles, just a thought
Yes, this was fun! I enjoyed it. I just became a new subscriber, hello to you and I am Joannie!! Yes more of your jewelry hunts, they are interesting. Bye for now ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love the Jewel ry, I'm starting making my own. I'll post a video on here later with my blog, also I paint on canvas. Video of that coming up soon too.
Just ran into this video and I used (3-4 years ago now) to buy jars in my state and I'd almost always find gold and silver! Was super lucrative until all these shows came on TV and everyone started doing it then they stopped selling them and put it all online! Those were the days!!
When you find pieces like that little belt buckle or earring piece that you were gonna through away, crafters who do mixed media would love those things!! Hope you know some crafters to give the stuff to. That ring with the slit it in it is actually a tool for jewelry making, a jumping holding ring. You definitely got your money's worth in silver alone :))
Don’t listen to all the negativity, that large cross definitely is beautiful and it looks like sterling silver you can test it with a testing kit that can be purchased for $10.
Sweetie. Great jar you got!! If you have a magnet refrigerator) you can tell immediately. If it sticks it is not real. If it doesn’t stick it’s real sterling. 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Magnets dont stick to silver or gold, true...but they also dont stick to brass, copper, and some alloys of pewter or zinc...or aluminum. so thats really not the best tactic. Look for stamping. Use a magnifying glass. Most "real" or "sterling silver" will always be stamped with the numbers 925. And all real gold jewelry, except in the unlikely case of it being some amature hobby jeweler's home made/hand smelted piece, it will always be stamped with the appropiate gold ratio amount 18k, 24k, etc...so youre better off just taking it to a fine jeweler. And dont approach it as if youre trying to sell either. Always act as if you intend to keep the item. Make up some bs sob story about it having sentimental value or something, and say that youre just curious to know if the piece is actually valuable. Just dont take it to a pawn shop whatever u do. (as soon as they find out you dont really know what youve got there) they will always down play the value of a piece trying to get something for nothing! Good luck!
KT Sempergyro my mama was the same way. I always took my chains to her and even the worst knots she got out in mere minutes. I used to love watching her do it; she always looked so peaceful and concentrated.
You too? Lol. I love untangling chains...people bring me theirs and no matter how bad it is, the knots just fall open in my hands. It's weird. I think it's a special gift, and probably means something.
Does anyone here know that 'Goodwill' is owned by one person and he takes home $2.3 million a year. How's that for a 'CHARITY SHOP'. Salvation Army is truly a helping people in dire need charity. The Commissioner of this organization makes only $13,000 a yr, plus housing. Think about this when you are donating your items. Look it up.
That is true about goodwill Not exactly true about salvation army. Although they give more to people in need of they question your values if you are lgbtq you might as well die. The CEO makes way more then stated. They are cheaper than goodwill although prices are growing. So if and when i go there i try not thinking of how unethical their values are. I try to stick with the private 2nd hand stores and garage sales. Support friends and neighbors. Real locals.
Ummm this might be a little late butttttt....im pretty sure that Capricorn bracelet was a Pandora charm bracelet.... And that Shit is pretty pricey a single charm for the bracelet can be well over 50$ u should look into it and research what u got cuz you had a lot of great pieces in that jar
I agree, I know it’s not a Pandora bracelet because of the clasp, although it still may be sterling silver. Look for .925 , .995, SS on each bead or test it. Even fakes sell from $25-$200 plus Pandora is only one of many companies that make these bracelets, charms and beads.
That ring you got is called a poison ring. Back in the old days they would put poison in the ring so if they want to get revenge on someone they can but dumping poison in someone's drink with getting busted. I know because I use to have one.
Yes, they used to make ‘poison’ rings long ago, but I don’t believe that was one of them. The one she showed had a pair of praying hands on it, and she mentioned that. Several years ago, ‘prayer ‘ rings and pendants were popular - you wrote out a prayer you had on a slim slip of paper (similar to ones found in fortune cookies, they were included in your purchase), and placed them in the compartment. Having your prayer close to your heart or ‘at hand’ was supposed to remind you to pray often about it so it would be answered quickly. With a ‘poison ring’, the compartment was concealed behind a large stone or focal point of the ring, so as to not be obvious that it HAD a concealed space. After all, if you plan on poisoning someone, you don’t want to be caught!😉😁
I love watching you with the jewelry jars. we can't get them in my state. you get a lot of small rings and brackets. I am so small with them both. plz do more jewelry jars.
Shirley Stevens go to goodwill.com. It's an auction. So, you could pay more. Or, you could pay less. Be careful bidding though it becomes a habit :-). Also, make sure you look at the shipping and handling you'll save your household a lot of money if you go there first
Costume jewelry can be valuable if from a certain company and from a certain era. We have found these pieces at times and sell them in our gallery. Not worth a fortune but nice.
I think it would be worth it if it was $35- range. Lots of items: rings ,necklaces ,bracelets , earrings etc. If you are a jewelry maker you certainly could use the chain necklaces and bracelets to make your own design. I liked the dragon to and the bronze triangle with a Celtic design pendant. I suppose you could also re sell some of these items once cleaned on eBay etc !!! Good job!!!!
Considering this stuff is given for free, the charity shops gouge with their prices. I know they want to make money, but some items are priced almost to the dollar that you can buy them new.
The first video I saw was the one where she bought the jar at Goodwill for $50 and filled with jewelry I myself have bought jars at Goodwill the best time was when I bought three jars ranging in price range of $16 to I think $12 and I bought them and I went home and I opened them all up and I was amazed at some of the jewelry that was there there was a lot of Old Vintage Vogue jewelry I called Grandma's jewelry clip on earrings but they were beautiful and a couple more pieces I wasn't too sure I'm no expert when it comes to jewelry so I started researching the stuff and I was amazed at how much they were going for on other sites so I took the stuff from to the flea market and I ended up making over $1,200 on an investment of maybe 30 $40 jewelry does not come up often at Goodwill but when you see it I did advise that you buy it
I find her unboxing of the jewelry interesting but I have also in all my thrift shopping years never seen a jar of jewelry sold like this. Maybe buttons! Most of my life I have been relatively poor and sew since age 10 so I thrift shop for better clothing that I have always used as material or altered to suit the trend. I used Doris Day style 50s dresses to make mini skirts. I also buy shoes etc. Starting even way back to 70s I switched to mostly buying in one owner sores that support traditionally children’s programs. Part of this was many chain thrift stores started upping the price. For example, store brand items that i know were from Target or Medvyn’s are sold with damage by chain thrift stores for more than I could buy new on the clearance rack of these same stores. I now live in a smaller town for my retirement but with a great thrift store.Since more rural the brands are not high end but they have a huge turnover and charge mostly $1 per item or less and I upcycle for what’s on trend like men’s shirts into blouses and jeans into purposes. They put the money into college scholarships for high school and intervention programs. That’s the value to me! I also plan on teaching sewing so the thrift prices are great for teaching a valuable skill, which is what the thrift chains are supposed to be doing retraining?
I’m positive there’s several hundred dollar worth of silver in this. And I’m pretty sure there’s some valuable stones. I’d be SUPER curious to see it all cleaned and taken to a healer to look through it
That was the most relaxing thing I have seen all day! You remind me of myself as a girl. I would go through my granny, and aunt's jewelry boxes as a kid. Just looking through time. I love your channel. Thanks! 💛

I luv going through "treasure " like that !!!
That jar had alot of good silver
and goodies Congrats!!
looks like so much fun! would love to see a full display of it.
Watching you untangle is strangely calming.
Yes, this was fun! I enjoyed it. I just became a new subscriber, hello to you and I am Joannie!! Yes more of your jewelry hunts, they are interesting. Bye for now ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you :)
Baby powder helps take out necklace knots . Cool finds
You can test sterling most times with a magnet. If it sticks its not silver
Karen Scott tf
@@bryonyimmers3795 it's true
Sweetie. Great jar you got!! If you have a magnet refrigerator) you can tell immediately. If it sticks it is not real. If it doesn’t stick it’s real sterling. 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Silver plated brass isn't magnetic either.
Thank you for the info about magnets not sticking to sterling silver!
Good luck!
omg..... I wish I was there.... I love untangling chains.... I'm so weird! lol
It's weird. I think it's a special gift, and probably means something.
me too, good at it
I love to untangle chains too. But something big like an extension cord annoys me lol
Thats OK. I love untangling yarn.
Look it up.
That is true about goodwill
Not exactly true about salvation army.
Beautiful jewelry! ♡
Wow! Great finds! Blessings...
Thank you
Ummm this might be a little late butttttt....im pretty sure that Capricorn bracelet was a Pandora charm bracelet.... And that Shit is pretty pricey a single charm for the bracelet can be well over 50$ u should look into it and research what u got cuz you had a lot of great pieces in that jar
I agree
Karina Rivera it was fake one. They sell those on ebay for like three euros or less.
I agree, I know it’s not a Pandora bracelet because of the clasp, although it still may be sterling silver. Look for .925 , .995, SS on each bead or test it. Even fakes sell from $25-$200 plus Pandora is only one of many companies that make these bracelets, charms and beads.
Gerri Petress That’s not kind
I agree.
Love the watch necklace it looks antique
I enjoy watching what came out of the jar, I do not get out to do what you do, so yes, do more.
You did good for fifty bucks.! I need a jar like that. Hadn't seen it at my goodwill
This was a great jar! Are you going to show us what you discovered? I hope so. I love jewellery jars. Hugs!
Patti Jahn Thank you so much 😊!
Yes more videos with jewelry hauls and jars, those are my favorites
Love your videos good presentation.....calm mild mannered tone. Allows viewer to see the full spread.
I did the same in a antique store but I only paid $8 I found few nice silver stuff 😊💖
$50?? Geez that is expensive! Goodwill are a bunch of sharks!!
When you were turning the jar I was like ahhhh beautiful then a massive 1 Direction Dog tag just came up, very change of pace hahahha
My friend mable hipped me too goodwill God bless her..in new york it $30 a bag.
That ring you got is called a poison ring. Back in the old days they would put poison in the ring so if they want to get revenge on someone they can but dumping poison in someone's drink with getting busted. I know because I use to have one.
Wow. Thats really interesting. Crazy but interesting. Lol
I love digging through stuff like that. I actually bid and got something like that on e-bay. I don't really have a hobby so why not. lol
I love watching you with the jewelry jars. we can't get them in my state. you get a lot of small rings and brackets. I am so small with them both. plz do more jewelry jars.
Shirley Stevens thank you 😊❤
Shirley Stevens go to goodwill.com. It's an auction. So, you could pay more. Or, you could pay less. Be careful bidding though it becomes a habit :-). Also, make sure you look at the shipping and handling you'll save your household a lot of money if you go there first
That was a great jar. I see tons of potential for crafting. You should open an etsy shop.
I saw some rings that looked like real stones. That small red stone was a rube. Some looked good to me!
Costume jewelry can be valuable if from a certain company and from a certain era. We have found these pieces at times and sell them in our gallery. Not worth a fortune but nice.
I think it would be worth it if it was $35- range. Lots of items: rings ,necklaces ,bracelets ,
earrings etc. If you are a jewelry maker you certainly could use the chain necklaces and bracelets to make your own design. I liked the dragon to and the bronze triangle with a Celtic design pendant. I suppose you could also re sell some of these items once cleaned on eBay etc !!! Good job!!!!
Those pearls looked like Tahitian pearls. One looked like a chocolate and the other one had a nice greenish color. I think she got her money worth.
Cheryl Medeiros thank you 😄 xoxox
Makeup_Zombie plus that Pandora looking bracelet! Even the Pandora knockoffs are worth money so I say you did good. I so want a jar like that! 😁
Considering this stuff is given for free, the charity shops gouge with their prices. I know they want to make money, but some items are priced almost to the dollar that you can buy them new.
The first video I saw was the one where she bought the jar at Goodwill for $50 and filled with jewelry I myself have bought jars at Goodwill the best time was when I bought three jars ranging in price range of $16 to I think $12 and I bought them and I went home and I opened them all up and I was amazed at some of the jewelry that was there there was a lot of Old Vintage Vogue jewelry I called Grandma's jewelry clip on earrings but they were beautiful and a couple more pieces I wasn't too sure I'm no expert when it comes to jewelry so I started researching the stuff and I was amazed at how much they were going for on other sites so I took the stuff from to the flea market and I ended up making over $1,200 on an investment of maybe 30 $40 jewelry does not come up often at Goodwill but when you see it I did advise that you buy it
Thank you
AWESOME! I love buying bulk jewellery! You got some very nice pieces.
That large pearl earring at the end looks very nice
It was a Tahitian. There was also a ring with a match Tahitian . great buy.
I actually have a ring like that purple one you pulled out.... I bought it when I went to Mexico...
I love that Marjorie Baer San Francisco pendant. Worth between $45-$60. Score!
Thank you! :)
Great stuff! I have seen these jars before, but never purchased. I will next time I see
Ii hope you a got some good silver pieces
Out of that jar for the price, looks like you got
Some decent pieces
Are you on facebook? I would love to add you if your on. Thanks
I used to buy the jars of watches..110 watches for 25 bucks..fossil timex etc....and your voice is cute lol...have fun
I’m positive there’s several hundred dollar worth of silver in this. And I’m pretty sure there’s some valuable stones. I’d be SUPER curious to see it all cleaned and taken to a healer to look through it
Oh what fun, looks like you got some nice stuff
It would have been better to untangle everything and lay it out then go over everything you got.
Yeah that takes massive amount of time tongue tango everything it really does take a lot of time
Sheila Talley true
the silver bangles worth your money... with a good cleaning, you could easily sell them for at least $ 50 each.
How do you purchase something like that from goodwill? I have never seen anything like that
