I'm 70 yrs. young. The young man who took me to my junior high prom lived in those projects with his single mom & 2 brothers. All very wonderful people. Thanks for the memories.
Mane I remember living here and adapting to the lifestyle and actually fitting in, they were bad people but i fit in and i was happy, because from what I remember i never fit in with anyone expect the people in phenix city, and i lived in a better part of phenix city, which was STILL a bad part, 2 people got killed on my street when i lived there, my neighbors got arrested, there was constant gang wars at the park down the street from me, now i fit in with no one, living in a somewhat decent Detroit suburb, i mean i go to a terrible school and i live in the bad part of town, where its not really violence, and houses are decent, but the drugs are terrible, everyone at least knows 1 dealer within a 0.2 mile radius of them in my city. I love it up here, but i definitely miss living in phenix city. I didnt like the violence at all, AT ALL, i watched someone get shot then i saw someone robbin a house while i was walking at night, but i had good friends, and we all stuck together. People i went to school with and lived by weren’t good, but my friends and I stuck together.phenix city is a beautiful place, people wise. Everyone’s been through a terrible struggle, and we all stuck together. In Michigan everyone rude, backstab each other, fake, all that. I have no clue why people did that. First day of school up here i was already getting bullied, down south, OF COURSE i got into fights, who hasn’t in a neighborhood i lived in, but nobody was trying to be on top, and no one was bullied. The popular kids were huuuuuuge dicks, but thats it, only them. We all supported each other and had fun. Makes me wonder why people act the way they do up here. 334 4L🤞🏽💚.
There is no list where Phenix City has the highest crime rate. As you can see, there isn't even any people out hanging around. Phenix City is actually a decent place. One of the best schools. Central has been in the state Championship the past 3 years.
Nearest hospital is about 15-30 miles ,and it’s not dangerous. Every city you go to you will have problems . There chill people tbh . Now Columbus Georgia on the other hand .......yea that’s another story
@@Drew-hl7ou There's a somewhat decent size hospital IN Phenix City with an ER (Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital) also Columbus, GA has hospitals and it's only separated by a bridge.....saying the nearest hospital is 15-30 mins away a lie 💀
Protect your children from getting an early police record. . That will affect their future. ( your ) the Parent ! .no one intentionally raises their child up to be a crimnal. . .and keep your children away from ( angry ) people. . Dont let that spirit get on your child.
Take even a bolder step, and learn how to pray with your children, before they go out, for things they want, and things they want to accomplish. Even if you dont have the money or see it right now. . Develope faith into your children while their young . .so when those prayers ate answered. . You kids while have hope, and even do better growing up!
Jose, I will tell you that i liked everything that I saw from the "suburb" side of the railroad. From the side of the projects... fine, but i didn't like the project itself. You know the more recent projects here down in Miami: they are cheaper than luxury condos, but they look alike. This project you showed in this video of pure red-brown brick appears to be jail barracks. Some people can get mad at me, and they can say some of people don't deserve it, but any project is about teaching people in indigence for generations how to live better and climb the ladder. If you're making the project a teaching moment about how to adapt to prison, i think you're ditching people. It's my opinion. I'm open for other's. In all your Alabama videos i see a beautiful country. I like the spirit. But it is something underlying there. I don't know what can be. I can see myself sitting on the porch, on the rocking chair, but I can't imagine myself working. The streets are desolated. Cars coming are speeding. Nice weather, sidewalks (not like here in Florida where they don't built sidewalks in the majority of places), and nobody walking... why? I don't know... can you get raped? or attacked? i don't see too much police either. Who's watching? I don't know, it's beautiful, but I don't see clearly humans. The best moment on the videos was when I saw the brothers walking the dog.
Yaroldi Manzano people here dont need police everyone handles themselves properly. They dont seam to tolerate garbage here like other states. You dont need to make too much money to live
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS José, when you consider appropriate, get some interview, especially from the Mexicans. I like the place, but it looks an abandoned way of living. It is healthier, nicer, it's American, from pre-Reagan era...🤔
Everything is made from bricks because the clay abundance there. They’re is also a brick foundry where most all the bricks are made (Bickerstaff). Bricks are cheap and sturdy but hold lots of heat.
Don't let your kids learn violence and be influenced by many children hanging together, looking for somethen to get into. . Your raising an human being, who is going to become and adult one day.. .they dont need corupt skills and wrong ways of thinking . .to carry into their adult hood. . .get your children caught up in a hobby. Like an instrument, or art. . Prestudying things their interested in. Help them developed their talents. Find out through talks with your children what they are. You'd be sirprized the genius you have . .predestined to become somebody.
I think tenants should stop accepting alot of things going on in the projects. Like stop allowing your children to be influence by many.. . If you were living in a neighborhood in a three dwelling house - your children would be less influenced and you have a better chance keeping an eye on your kids. Do the same in projects take charge over your kids hanging with large group to lead them astray.

Phenix city more dangerous then mobile ? Birmingham? Pritchett Al Shid
Looks nice and peaceful. Way to isolated and far from people and places for me. How far is the nearest hospital?
its right next to columbus ga. 250,000 people
