Amazing Alaska
Breathtaking, during my career in the Coast Guard back in the 80s, I had the pleasure of spending time in Alaska. Next year I have planned to visit my younger son, 😂 he just turned 40 a few days ago, and he is a Chief in the Coast Guard assigned to Juneau. Excellent video.

I’ve lived in SE Alaska for 10 years and everyday I wake up and am amazed with its beauty.
I’ve see humpback lung feeding all the time but only seen them bubble feed 3 times. It’s an amazing sight. Great video.

I saw the ship docked at Juneau in the spring of 2022. It's worth mentioning that you can actually experience a lot of this stuff by taking a cruise along the inside passage (and bringing a lot of money).
That's awesome! Yes you can see all these things on your own but it would be very expensive and you might not get quite as close to some of wildlife

I have lived up here the past 43 years, been employed in the Ak visitor industry the past 34 yrs, it’s allowed me to see much of this awesome place, got to agree with the comment about Tracy arm, been their many times, only place as spectacular has to be on a clear day just outside of Seward and Aialik bay and Northwestern fjord along the Kenai fjords also little seen Kodiak islands remote bays outside of kodiak town, the western side is so unique, color, vegetation, scenery, etc. I literally have given up trying to explain coastal Alaska to visitors, now my “office” is working on our state ferry boats! No place even compares to Alaska, simple!👍😉.

Granite is probably not the predominate rock in the Inner Passage. Mostly metamorphic rocks. Did Uncruise last year.

Thank you! I really enjoy using the 100-400. It's really an essential lens for wildlife photography. Doesn't leave my bag on trips like this.

Just so you all know, the blue whale is not found in Alaska. Just saying. Largest population density wise area in the world for humpbacks though is along the inside passage is Frederick sound just outside of Petersburg around the five fingers lighthouse around early, mid August! I used to work on a small cruise ship that cruised all along the inside passage on 9 day trips, going where the big ships can’t, have counted well over 100 humpbacks in one general area at the same time in this area, simply amazing area!
