I think it's really symbolic. The titans were always monsters, but they at least looked human as to show that they ARE people, just ones changed into these things. Eren's Founding Titan, though, THAT is a monster. A complete, horrifying monster.

This sculpture is fucking amazing, the thin details would terrify me and it's amazing how you manage this. But I havent seen attack on titan in so long and I'm honestly horrified and confused

This is why his titan is only bones, Eren didn’t have a body anymore
