Ingredients
(5 cups - paper cup size: 50mm base, 35mm wall)
(A)
1. 40g (4tbsps) melted butter
2. 45g (1/3cup) cake flour
3. 1/4 tsp baking powder
4. A pinch of salt
5. 30g (30ml) milk
6. 2 egg yolks
7. 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
(B)
1. 2 egg whites
2. 35g (3tbsps) caster sugar
(C)
1. 1 tsp cocoa powder
Just a cup of water steam baking in preheated 130°C ~ 150°C oven for 25 ~ 30 minutes.
Baking time may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. You may need to adjust your oven temperature accordingly.

I just tried this .i love the texture, soft and moist.. i will just add a little sugar. Next time i will double the recipe. It only yield 5 cupcakes. And its delicious by the way 👌👍

How long & at what temperature should i bake if double the ingredients? I tried 140° 30 minutes but the skin a bit sticky after cool down

@@KimiyaLim how much sugar can we increase. When I baked it for tge first time it tyrned out perfect but this time when I increased the sugar something hapoened with the meringue. it turned liquid. even the chocolate part just dipped in and did not sit on top the way it is in the video.

Do you wait until the melted butter is cold or not when you're pouring the flour? Thank you
Hi Lie Phink, pour the flour when the melted butter is still warm, the purpose of using warm oil or warm butter is to cook the flour with warm butter or oil, and this will cause the flour to be thicken and smooth, this method called "Tang Mian" or "Roux"/"Cooked dough".

Hi Aysha, steam baking make the cake more soft & moist, you still can do normal baking, but remember to reduce time of baking about 10 mins, or check with cake tester/skewer to see if the cake is cooked, don't over bake, cake will become dry. Happy baking.
