Feeding a healthy horse a small amount of sugar now and then is unlikely to cause a significant glucose spike; however, for a horse with uncontrolled IR, PSSM, or a laminitis history, feeding sugar/molasses isn't a risk worth taking. Skip the sugary treats, too, if your horse is overweight, especially if he has a cresty neck. These are NOT healthy.
Good idea but even if it’s a treat only that’s way too much sugar... I wouldn’t add so much icing and sweets on top.... sprinkles are bad for horses teeth like sugar is for humans..... they’re going to have bad teeth and stomach problems. Please don’t give it to ur horse even as a treat once a day or something
Hey guys that don’t know diy horse treats and saying not to feed this to your horses 😂 one once a day isn’t that bad! I’ve never had problems with my horses colicing or anything .
DON’T give peanut butter to a horse it is poisonous to them. Look it up it says if you give them even a small amount it can be fatal or cause their joints a lot of pain. Please research it yourself and find something else to make them for treats like molasses or honey instead of peanut butter
Love it! ❤️
Use molasses or honey instead of peanut butter...
And less sugar
Might try it but with A LOT less sugar
This is not good for your horse even if its a treat. Its still can cause something. It has peanut butter and its very unhealthy even for person

Why did you have to add that much sugar in
DO NOT FEED THESE TO YOUR HORSE. These are nothing but sugar and you will be dealing with founder sooner or later.
Haha no 😂 they can have it once in a while and it won't cause foundering. Leaving a horse on pasture has a higher risk of founder than these treats 😂

My Brown Pony - Live,Love,Liberty I know it’s not that good and that’s why its called a treat not. A meal I would only give her like one if she’s good
My Brown Pony - Live,Love,Liberty No hate at all! But it's called a treat for a reason. It's not an every day thing.
