A brand new W900 always looks good, nothing wrong with keeping it simple, the color is what I like here, if I started a trucking company, that's what cor my trucks would be
Congratulations David! It was smart loosing the logos to lighten the hood so Andy could open it without standing on the bumper. LOL Sears seats, VIT, and blanket equals comfort. So jealous!
Why is the DEF on the passenger side? Love the color. Like my favorite color. Love the black dash and leather seats. I hope they are heat and cool seats. Love the Wipeout front and carpet back flooring. Why such a small fridge? Any t.v. mounts in the truck?
Good job opening that hood. Looks like the Kenworth wife must be feeding you some good vittles. I noticed that there was no deck plating. Does your customer have other plans for that or just didn’t want one.
That's a beautiful truck, love the clean look. I saw the colour and thought KST was getting into the W900's instead of the T880's, then you mentioned the name. One thing though. Noticed at the 1 minute 3 second mark someone was hanging out of a truck window to film the W900 on the road. Saw it in the reflection off of the fuel tank. Guys, please be careful. Don't want to see anyone get hurt.
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy I do enjoy your videos, but please be careful. An accident with these big machines can take off more than just the tip of a finger...
Durabrites are terrible, they can't be polished, they tend to turn a yellow hue if exposed to calcium chloride after a few years and they do not stay "brite" for the life of the truck. They are great for company drivers who could care less about taking pride in their ride.
@@TheRoadhammer379 They do have some yellowing tendencies, true, however in this NYS climate, they are functional. No one is bringing their tractor into the shop for wheel polishing during our winters.
After 30 years in trucking, I would like to have more amenities in the bunk, instead of a long hood..... I loved my T680 2019. More Tactical for LTL pick ups in downtown L.A...... perfect 👌 Aerodynamics.
Hey kenworth guy... I’m from Washington state ... does kenworth still offer W900B for 2021??? I’m long time kenworth guy and I have always liked kenworth w900 for many year since the last time I rode my dad’s old 1979 w900a with Detroit engine in it and loved it
Beautiful W9. Hey Andy when the driving portion of the video started did I detect some exhaust vapor exiting the driver side stack? No wonder you have snow on the ground. Someone was smart in the factory and hooked it up to have true duel stacks. Or was I just seeing things? lol 😆
At least five things I would do differently on this truck, first the 110 gallon tank & the def needs to be on the drivers side. Anyone who gets def at a truck stop would know that!!! Next it would need a saddle box on the drivers side and the apu on the other side, there's room for it. Furthermore the front bumper would need cut outs for fog lights, it would improve the look of a chrome bumper. Finally the truck would need to be black metal flake because all the trucks at our company are that abstract color... I like the new modern look. Where would the microwave go?
Looked way better with the curved top stacks ...midre cut is dumb ...water gets in and they just look incomplete ...sorry my opinion ... gorgeous truck though
My last new truck was in 2007 kenworth w 9 but now the price for one is almost 3x the cost not worth it you cant even get a good engine anymore. I use to buy a new truck every 4 years petes and kenworths you couldnt pay me to own one now way over priced freight wont support it
Yeah with all the new government forced emissions changes and the inflation plus the exchange factory pricing has really gotten out of hand. It isn’t just kw it’s almost every. Pick ups, cars, phones etc
The single guy owner operators peterbilt an Kenworth, wait untill they go up to 200,000 250,000 an gas is 5 dollars an diesel is 6 dollars. WesternStar an freightliner will take over.
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy more reliable, you're being funny. The 07 was the last year before DPF, the ISX and the C15 were both available. Andy, you're being deceptive saying reliable, DEF/DPF has made class 8 diesels absolutely unreliable. Regen issues, DEF failure, sensors.... way more reliable than a pre 08 Cat, Detroit and Cummins. I think you should research the issues of these "reliable" engines and get back to us. There's a reason gliders are popular and why guys are doing glider type repowers of these trucks. My 389 in the pic is 2019, was a factory X15 truck, I did the conversion on it, now a Cat reman 3406E. It will be rolling long after that reliable engine is in Limp Mode.
WOW!! That Blue is amazing!! Love those W900’s!!!
Sure is Pete
Very nice W 9. Love the simplicity of the look. Kinda old skool.
It is pretty sweet
Your reviews are very good, I drove an older IH but I’m 76 and miss my driving days so much. Thanks so much. Dave in Phoenix Arizona USA
Thanks for watching David. And thanks for your service. Stay safe.

It is a classic look and an amazing color.
The body style on the w900L I think is what keeps Kenworth alive that truck just makes a bold statement. 👌👍👍😁
Kenworth has a great product offering. So glad we have lots of choices.
Hey Andy! I'm with you, I think it's the simplest w9 you've shown to us, but it looks amazing!!
Less is more. Right?
Great video Andy. Glad your camera survived. Really like the small touches done to the truck. Looks real sharp
Thanks Don.

Lol. That’s why he did it. Hahah
Sorry Andy but at 8:46 on the hot side we call that a AC compressor not a starter. Keep up the great videos!
I caught that as well...... thought, that looks like an a/c compressor 🤭🤭🤔🤔😂😂
My bad. Lol. Stupid salesman. Hahah
Greetings from Bakersfield California. First in line today to watch video. Beautiful truck.
Thanks for watching
This Kenworth 2021 are new interiors and new steering wheel😲😲💪💪😆
That "Blue" though...If that truck were a California truck that would be "Dodger" Blue all day long! Nice color...👍
Go team blue!!!
Thanks bud! That's a monster of KW...keep them video's coming...
Straight from newyork. Awesome truck
Thanks

Def is where the customer wanted it. Thanks for the comments. Thanks for watching
The chassis rails seem to be unusually high gloss paint finish, haven't seen frame rails w/ that noticeable a sheen, is that a special paint code?
Nope. N0001eb

Very true.
Nice looking truck but needs to secure the wiring hanging down under the battery box
Those are cables to pull when draining the air tanks.
😂 air tank drain cables.... 😂 wires
The dura bright rims seem more resistive to winter corrosive road treatments,
I would agree with you.

You sure can order one in. Yup

lol 😆
W900l they are both connected
The Jake brake location? Can it be ordered and mounted on a stalk, mounted right side of steering column ??
It doesn't matter where it is, just turn it on and leave it on
Lol allan
Bill, it’s either on the smart wheel or toggle on the dash. The stalk mount is on the 2.1m cabs
Very nice
Thanks
how come the DEF tank is on the wrong side ? special order so u have to pull in the fuel island backward everytime it needs replenished ?
The customer is on a dedicated run and fills at his own shop. Plus he doesn’t want to look at the tank getting in and out.
What’s the cables hanging down below the undercarriage.
Air line cables. You pull them to drain the air tanks.
Nice W900 now I have a question where is the DEF TANK!
On the th side
why did you scream def tank, 😂
Looks awesome! I’ll take a K100 if you please
No doubt
Do you know the paint color code number for this surf blue?
Love that color !!!
It sure pops
Very nice kenworth W900L
Thanks for watching bud
Got a question, on a new T800/W900 what controls come on the SmartWheel
Cruise and jakes.
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy Thank you

Looked way better with the curved top stacks ...midre cut is dumb ...water gets in and they just look incomplete ...sorry my opinion ... gorgeous truck though
Each to their own. Thanks for watching Kirk
Hey Andy, it's nothing special, but here is a video of my W900
ua-cam.com/video/XdR58auBi_Q/v-deo.html
Thanks for viewing.
These trucks always look like they are missing fuel tanks , 2 tanks won’t get you far going across Australia
It’s the norm in North America
No elephant ears!
Old school.

LOL
Another one with nothing to distinguish it from other kw
Just wait till he’s done with it
Very fatty tires😄😄😄😅
Its no different than the 07
You’re right. It has a more reliable and fuel efficient engine though.
