    Loved this video! As someone who is handy, but never tackled vinyl plank it was very helpful. You dont go too fast and explain things extremely well... Thank you!

    Excellent video I’ve been involved with floor covering installations for over 30 years. This is the most concise practical and informational video regarding installation of vinyl plank.

    What do you do with the small spaces between the last row of planks and the baseboard? How do you compensate for that ?

      Put down 1/4 round

      Why wouldn't you do the baseboards after the floor is installed? That gap is strange. I have never seen a gap at someones home.

    @floors by southern the spacers do u only put them at beginning and when do u put them

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  Рік тому +1

      Anywhere you’re going to be pushing on the planks and Mike caused them to go against the wall. The spacer is too sure that you have at least a quarter inch of expansion.

    I have a question or two for you what big box flooring would tou suggest I need something with a good looking system and what looking system so you think holds better im installing it in a older condo built with old dimensional lumber I have had problems with drop in lock in the past.

      Well, I was going to say life proof, at Home Depot. It is actually a really good floor if it is done properly and the proper prep is done. I have installed it in my family members house about five years ago and it still looks like it did the day I installed it and they are a household of five. Outside of that, I don’t really know of any other box store brands that I would recommend.

      @@FloorsbySouthernboys is there anything from like LL flooring or floor and decor that you would suggest I am looking for something with a strong looking system something that doesn't break easy I went to Lowe's and home Depot and most of the samples I could break the locking system with my hand easy.
