- Costco Prime Ribeye- Oh My!
Special treat for me and my family. I had a hard time justifying paying someone else an extra $2-3 per pound to cut . At Costco they remove the “BEST” and sell it as ribeye cap for double the price
Watch and see how easy it is.
Mistake... I frozen the leftover... I said fridge - Розваги
Everyone turns into a meat expert in the comments but they at home eating ground beef in their moms basement 😂
pacianovero Basically me except I’m not in the basement.
Alexander Mason did he hit a nerve? Lol
Im a journeyman meat cutter with 40 years experience , prime beef is a grade much higher than choice .not prime not much marbling .
I'm talking smack from my parents trailer living room was up. Lol jk
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
in the baggie add Dale's sauce freeze em. take them for a hike, thaw as you go. set up camp start grill put them on 45 minutes later yum! serve with yam coated in butter buds in foil, roll every 10 minutes... apple cored out butter buds, cinnamon, brown sugar to taste. Now that is a real meal.
You did good, you got fourteen good slices, well done!
Thank you, Great video
I wish I could find prices like that here in Malaysia!
I dont know why, but i got such enjoyment out of watching this video!
Should of got a pot of water. Submerged the steak in bag to the top of the zip.
Same as vacuum seal!
With no machine and the purchase of bags. Works great. Try it!
Order some Umai dry age bags & try dry aging the whole loin...you’ll love it & you drastically increase the price of each steak. Look up how much dry aged ribeye is per steak then divide what you paid for the loin by how many steaks you cut, you’re saving over $5 a pound Good Job 👍🏼
They don't put out the whole loin as a bulk item buy often(3 day holiday weekend months is what I notice))but you can request it from the butcher at Costco i found out....Definitely a Savings when over the pre packaged selection of about $1-$3/lb
How thick did you cut the steaks?
Well done bro
try cutting from the other end stand on the left side. Get a breaking knife Victorinox knife $35. Wont need to use the other hand.
What kind of knife is that ?
That's not blood...it's protein saturated water. Oh, you saved money! Look at the price of prime in a regular supermarket. And that's only if you can find it.
Do you slice against the grain?
What’s the current price for that per lbs?
It's not prime beef !!!!!!!!!!! No marbling .😥
For 10.99 a pound😦 I want 6. Where I’m from it’s 15.99 a pound for choice grade ribeye
How much per lb.?
$10.99/LB. He paid $179.47 for 16.33 LBs.
Cut the end fat off first.
That has no marbling.
How much was it for the whole ribeye?
Looked liked around the $170 mark
Got this from Costco UK few weeks back for first time ever and omg I haven't shut up about it since. Hands down the best steak I have had in YEARSSSSS
what was the price of that can i ask
Share my ribeye? Nahh
How come this low marbled beef is US prime ? In Australia our mb3+ beef is way better , well we got up to 5+ from angus and 9+ from wagyu .
Share?????....Maybe with Bill my imaginary friend
Why did costco remove the bones.... :(
We get them boneless already.
Would love to have known the price you paid per pound. That way we as watcher's could figure out the savings. If there was any?
$179.47, if u paused it in the beginning when he showed the whole thing.
16.33 pounds
I love COSTCO’S meats, and you did a great job on that slab…that said, people, don’t kid yourselves, Slapping a PRIME badge on a cut of meat doesn’t always make it a prime cut. At 10.99 a pound…NOT prime. Also no marbling. Dead giveaway.
i'd give it a choice grade
You are not gonna find steaks like that at the market
Couldn't you ask the Costco staff to cut for you?
Nope, if you buy a cryo, you cut it yourself. That’s why it’s cheaper
I cringe when people don't use non-slip pads under their cutting board otherwise great vid.
These are not marbled enough to be prime
I'm not impressed he has ribeye that was already trimmed and it had no lip on.
Lol you didn’t trim anything off lol 😂
Doesn’t need it, looks good just the way it is with fats and everything nice
Lol Doesn't need to LOL LOL
That one is not that marlbly, you can pick a better one.
I think you may have gotten ripped off or Costco made a mistake..? Those look like choice, not much marbling.
USDA doesn’t label meat prime for the hell of it prime is represented by only the top 4% of all beef in the USA :p
@@8breaker391 True, always wondered why I picked up prime beef and it came out tasting like nothing special.
Nebula the USDA grading has a lot of flaws honestly. My advice would be just to try to see if you could find out where exactly your meat is coming from. I find that going to a local butcher or a local grocery chain (here in So Cal we have stater Bros) is usually what leads to the best quality meat.
That’s not prime I’m sorry
What a shock. They weigh the same. Trim all the fat off. Boring
Remove the mole skin!!!
Definitely need to cut those tails off and if you’re going to buy like this shouldn’t have left the store without a vaccine sealer
I do the same with Costco meat but too much red meat = shorter life...
Wrong
thats some BS prime, my mid grade choice look like that
Blonde hair on an Asian guy, well, it's a look, I guess....
If you don’t know the difference between a prime rib and a strip loin maybe you shouldn’t to meat cutting bideos
That’s just WONG bro....
