Thanks for watching. I'm always looking for modern solutions to load software on classic systems and this cartridge based flash solution for the C64 really packs the features in. Anyone have on of these of want to see anything demoed using the Kung Fu Flash in a future video? Post comments here! :)
Should be worth a look when the NTSC compatibility is implemented for those of us whose machines were meant for that video standard. It's just one of those things where it's actually something I'm looking into now to be a mate with the Pi1541 and C128.
KFF is a great idea. Sticking a cartridge with HASL edges in your C64 is not. There seems to be very few sellers offering ENIG edges, and non offering beveled edges which are also important to minimise damage to the expansion port.
Thank you Retro Recollections. I've been looking for a cartridge port solution. However I am curious about the construction of it and the quality of the PCB. Also is there any talk of voltage levels and that being with in tolerances? Safe to use for the long long term?
Would love to see more of the browser capabilities and the game loading times. Also what is the quantity of the 3d printed case as I'm a bit fuzzy when it comes to 3d printed cases. Thanks
The case is pretty good! Link to the design is on the github page. Loading times are in the seconds for most things I tried and of course if CRT images are used they instantly reload on reset. The browser shows full file names which is a nice touch 👍🏻
I haven't touched my Commodores since the 90s and am relearning a lot. I have two to refurb before I can even try this. I'm confused about the image file types. Would like more information about disc images you mentioned on this cart.
Hi, just got one but having trouble all 3 button LED come on and stay on and menu browser doesn't load. couldn't find anything after a while searching google, and also briefly tried looking at the source code on github. Has anyone else had this problem? I also had looked at reflashing the firmware using dfu_util , but you have to jumper some connections todo this. Cheers
wow... now i know where it got it's name. Emulating .d64 images and other 'cartridge itself, eg AR cartridges are available as image formats for use with VICE, so there's no reason this shouldn't be, Like anything, it still keeps it alive today,. In fact any c64 cartridge should be done as an image. They all can't still be copyrighted after this lengthy time.

Don’t have any info on that but the specs are on the github so if you know your electronics it might shed some light for you.

It reads standard Commodore disk images such as D64 but also individual PRG (program) files as well as CRT (cartridge images)
Hiya, have you tried this at all with multi-load games where each level is loaded up as you progress through the game? Please let me know. :)
Does this support save games as in adventure type games where you would save your position so that you can continue.
Thumbs up from me ... I need one for my acorn electron!... awww... not supported!
Awesome I recently got the same cart from ebay
How many games can you add to it?
@@Starblazers2199 256 items per directory reason you break it down to a b c ect but the best thing is u can emulat other carts like action replay

Can this play SIDs directly from browser?
I’ve not tried actually, still exploring all the features.
Can this card improve performance on the game in anyway? I have the super Mario bros 64 that have some lagging,it would be nice boost the game up.
Not that I am aware of. It just replicates the cartridge with no enhancements.
@@RetroRecollections Okay I think your right
How is this vs a backbit?
Not heard of that one.
Hi,the Benq GL2250 support 15khz for Amiga?

There is an Easy Flash edition (CRT) I guess can be possible to run PoP on the KFF cartridge csdb.dk/release/?id=102540
Any clues whether this allows running Prince of Persia? csdb.dk/release/?id=102540
