  • Hi guys, today we get on with the painting and weathering of the Tamiya 1/35 scale Kubelwagen.
Heaps of fun to paint, I tried a few different things with multiple layers for subsequent weathering and it seemed to come out ok.
Thanks for watching, looking forward to seeing your comments.
    Cheers Glen

Hi, just got a kubelwagen and this video has really helped me to decide what to do with painting and weathering. Think the commentary was very good too. Will be looking for more help. Thanks

Good way to spend a tea break, thanks! Great result - I enjoyed seeing how the chipping came together - nicely done. Good idea with the decals too - if it looks right, it IS right! Looking forward to the next part. Cheers.

As usual great job. It's funny I love working on and building kits. But I enjoy watching others going through their journey. Again great job.

Clayton McClain Thanks Clayton, I am the same, partly why I’m so slow getting stuff done, when I should be building I am often watching UA-cam instead 😜

You've really done a first class job on the weathering for the Kubelwagen. I recently built one for an Italian diorama and I painted the interior in panzer grey . I look forward to new projects from you.

When I built this kit back in the 90s I remember I used a cut up sponge to give the ambush camouflage effect I went to a museum the day before I done the camouflage and copied it but also added some other patterns recommend for beginners nice model

NIce, it was used in so many palces almost any camo scheme is fair game i think,

Really enjoyed the change of direction in camo with the story line behind it.....will be curious to see how this fits in with the diorama to come??? The whole process was an enjoyable watch so will certainly keep my eyes open for the next installment.

Clayton McClain Hey Clayton, yes I’ve been really slack the last few months but I am on 2 weeks leave now so literally working on the bench right now 😄. Hope you had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year, once I sober up tomorrow I will be painting figures for my “delayed” Christmas Special 👍👍👍
