Good, Stronk IS-2 Heavy Tank From Tamiya [

IS-2 or JS-2 Whichever you prefer to call it this big Russian boi is a pretty cool looking tank. I do enjoy soviet heavy tanks. and this 48th scale kit from Tamiya certainly offers a nice representation of one.
There are a couple of issues with this kit, and I did make some mistakes, but...uh... I make the mistakes on purpose... That way you don't have to!
anyway... It's a pretty decent kit. It gets a thumbs up from me!

Your gun installation error made me chuckle, I made the same error. But since the glue had time to set for some days, when I glued the turret together, I put it in the wrong upside down way.... at least I could move the gun, something I like in these models. Also, the missing marks or keys for the handles around the turret are an annoyance, and I remember having some problems with the tracks. Not Tamiya's best model, but still pleasant to do.

I am very happy about the polycaps and the locking tab mechanism. Polycaps and locking tab mechanism are the best part of modeling.
But...
Herbert, I am annyoyed that you don't use the correct terms for the parts. Absolutly no one says "rear plate". The technical appropiate term is "butt plate"!☝
Also: thank you for making mistakes for us. That's very heroic of you.
