I've actually done reverse overheads with the double axe. it has a 2nd attack which is just a straight overhead. dont think its actually viable except for very rare cases
this games swing manip is arguably more broke than both chivs and mords
@@GomulDart true but there's no blocking (or barely any) so it's not a problem
@@Stouty yes, it manifests in a different way. There are a lot of components to it but, I think the diversity in D&D's player base tends to make it inconsequential. I.e. all the casual players and people who just want to have fun aren't looking for ways to abuse any exploit they can find, well some are, but it's not as concentrated as it is in chiv/mord. If everyone who played this game was a chiv or mord fan, maybe we'd see more swung manip abuse.

ngl, i never gaev dark & darker a chance soley for the reason that the game looked like stock unity assets and the combat was so goofy looking
still not going to play it. TBH, don't see the appeal. It's like the boxing robot game, but with stats. People just slug at each other.

Would be cool if the stat differences between good and bad gear were more condensed.
Should a naked barb be able to kill a full geared fighter? That would feel so so so bad in a game where it's all about gearing up and escaping with gold to get better gear and such.
If gear would be less important, then it would turn into the hardcore survival PvP games where everyone is running around in mid tier gear cause they can be easily mass collected and running around in high or mid tier gear doesn't make a difference, but actually just waste resources.
There is also skill involved, but not much mechanical, just macro and micro

@@Stouty But if the fighter plays somewhat decent (Dont think you can get high tier gear without being somewhat decent), you would still think so? Wouldnt that create a horrible overall experience if the best players would just spam naked barbs (with naked I mean standard gear ofc) to fish for end gear from the more casual players?

He just stat checks everyone lol and then the guy with the rapier outplays him w spacing. Rapier is the inly way to beat felling axe i think. That bowman also got him too if not for shield pot. He has good movement tho im just a barb hater
Do you think any classes need balancing? Barb seems balanced but the felling axe needs a small change
yeah and triple shot needs reducing to double shot plus another wizard nerf

if game took skill and wasnt gear vs gear I would care
biggest issue with the DnD situation is the fact that without the insider knowledge they had, they couldnt have reproduced that P3 nexon shit to such an identical degree, which is probably what nexon will lean heavily into, since making a dungeon crawling extraction game is one thing, but basically remaking something that only you knew indepth details about after working on and then dipping to remake it is kinda another thing, in any other industry this would be an instant loss for IM but who knows
will be interesting to see how it plays out for sure
