Thank you so much for watching this week's video and thank you Malletech for sending in these mallets! Let me know what you thought of the mallets in the comments below! And the new solo featured in this video will (hopefully) come out before the end of September... #TheStudioFamily
I really enjoyed the editing on this video! I’m a fan of the articulation on those mallets while still keeping their full sound. Looking forward to your new piece whenever it drops!
I meant to say this during the Stevens mallet review. The number on Malletech mallets refers to the "maximum brightness" of the mallet. So basically playing at maximum velocity will give you that number. I'm not exactly sure how the system fully works. But that's the basis if what I learned from Leigh.
As always, great video Adam! The mallets sound good but I don't think I would rush out to buy them. I've never used any mallets from Malletech but so far the LHS are my favorite. As to the new solo you are working on, I absolutely love it!!
ive always had a problem with when im playing two mallet, and that is that my left hand is a lot slower than my right. does anyone have a way to fix this?
I think if you isolate the left hand with some single stroke exercises and really spend a lot of time slowly stepping it up with a metronome you can balance it out with your right hand :)
#teambirch the clip 😂😂😂 always going to be funny Nice Video as always.Mallettech makes awesome mallets.I hope I'll own some in the future. See you ~Marimbaninja

I’m already a fan of the new piece 🔥
Thank you man I appreciate it! It's a lot of fun to play I promise ;)
Your reviews are so helpful! Thank you for making these videos, and I love your new piece; it's beautiful.

Thanks so much Nick! Very interesting mallets for sure... and I hope to drop the piece before the end of September :)
Very cool idea to use the new piece as a part of the sound test! That was really appreciated, and gave me a lot of insight into the Sammuts!
Another great video Adam! Looking forward to your new 4 1/3 piece - it sounds harder than Moon and I look forward to it
Thank you so much man! I think it’s definitely harder than Moon also, trying to make my solos more challenging 😁
Your piece sound like a combination of Sammut and Debussy,, great work Adam!
High praise man! I knew it sounded a bit like Debussy but Sammut is a surprise! Thank you 😊
Hi Adam, I love your piece!!! Good mallets 👍
Thank you so much!!

Interesting! So even if it's a mono-tonal mallet (like a xylophone mallet) it still refers only to maximum brightness? Thanks for the heads up :)
@@AdamTanPercussion Yes! It's no problem.
Will you be making a recording available of your pieces? Sounded great -- would love to have a CD!
I've considered it! Maybe when I can play better hahaha
Digging the new piece. The melodic line is to die foooorrrr!!!!
Thanks man! I'm glad you like it :)))
Your new piece sounds so good!
Thank you so much Steven! I'm so glad it sounds ok so far...
It's so satisfying when you do this!😍 8:24
Ahahaha get dat marimba resonance
I think this is going to be you're best piece yet
Love the new piece!!!
Thank you Brian!!!
I love using my Eric sammut mallets!
That's awesome man! I haven't quite figured out how to use them effectively but I am sure you have got the hang of it!
Can you do the Mike Balter Emil Richards Rattle Mallets? Shakers in the mallet heads, doesn’t that just sound... interesting?
YES those mallets are hilarious ahaha, I remember Mike showing me them at PASIC 😂
How would you say the weight compares to the Encore NM?

Me too! Not my first choice either haha... I’m so glad you like the piece 😁
Hey Adam! I would love to see a video about how to develop your own percussion website or how to partner with someone to do so
That’s an interesting one! I guess the most important thing is to start and try and see if it works :)
Your new piece sounds awesome!
Also, which multi-tonal mallet pair would you recommend the most of everything you've played with?
I like the new piece! How would you feel about doing some mallet reviews at PASIC? I’ll bring a bunch for you to try out
Ahaha I'd love to see all kinds of mallets at PASIC, so sure thing :)
Can we get a review on the Mark Goodenberger mallet series with A. Putnam?
A. Putnam is a brand that I've always wanted to try out! Thanks for the suggestion :)

Adam Tan thanks! ill try that soon!
Adam! You should do a review on Pegasus Percussion Mallets.
Thanks for the suggestion man! Will look into them :)
3:21 Such a poor guy....😂😂😂
Right 😂😂😂 saddest moment in percussion history right there
Make one video review talking about “Pedro Carneiro” series of innovative percussion, I’m portuguese 😁🇵🇹
I definitely want to check them out :) thank you for the suggestion!
I thought you were playing Arabesque at the beginning of your solo lol, sounds great though!
Ahahaha I knowwww... the first descending line is like 'tribute to Debussy' 😂
What are you thinking about for the name of your new peice
The name right now is most likely going to be 'Lotus' :)
#teambirch the clip 😂😂😂 always going to be funny
Nice Video as always.Mallettech makes awesome mallets.I hope I'll own some in the future.
See you
~Marimbaninja
Ahahaha that clip is a classic... thank you for watching man!
There's a part that sounds like Claude Debussy's Arabesque
Yesssssss I am Debussy's long lost brother ahaha 😂
I always thot my Eric sammuts where pretty light
Really nice piece! Not digging the mallets though
Yes they are a bit of an acquired taste! Not my first pick personally but I can see why people would want to use them :)
