I hope you enjoy using the AT series as much as I do, they're so much fun and Encore + Salyers have done an incredible job creating something that screams me haha. Stay tuned in the video to see when these actually come out! If you have any questions about my mallet series leave them down below 😁 #TheStudioFamily
Quite soft, but definitely very characteristic of the style of your music, kinda feels just right for the type of stuff like “a tender feeling” from SAO
Congratulations, my friend! Your own signature line of Encore mallets are hard earned and well deserved! You've worked so hard and it has paid off for you in spades! I couldn't be prouder of you!
Ever since 6th grade when I first started I liked watching your mallet reviews. Now I’m in 11th going into 12th still in percussion! Excited to use these in my final year!
Finally! I’m so happy for you and excited that you get to take this awesome (and quite frankly dream-like) step in your career. I’m spending my summer building my own 5-octave marimba, and it looks like I may have to pick up a set of these to help break it in once I finish 😂
I obviously dont know you personally, but after following you for a while i have to say that I am proud and excited for you to have made this huge milestone!
@@AdamTanPercussion - Thanks! How are your mallets different from the Resta-Jay Jean Geoffroy mallets; and the Vibrawell Vassilena Serafimova mallets? Thanks again! 🙏🏼
Congratulations @Adam Tan 🎉 indeed Encore mallets makes good mallets! You have made your mallets collection warm/ articulate sound with a nice bass soft mallet, curious what the final product sounds like. 🎉
@@AdamTanPercussion Nice 👍 😊 If it's still going to be a articulate sound it would be fine. You must be very excited to share with "the world". Is it also usable on vibes ?
Haha I don't use any other mallets anymore anyway! And tennis tape well some people like it and some don't so I'd rather keep the cost down and let people decide for themselves haha
This is amazing Adam! I might buy the grad set in the future. However to my knowledge the Chien Chien Lu series by Malletech includes her Chinese name.
Hey I want to learn "a cricket sang and set the sun" I'm in 8th grade so I think that that will be fun! Might need to get these mallets for that piece!
This is so cool and awesome! I’ve been a fan of yours since 2017, (my freshmen year in highschool) and now I’m majoring in percussion performance at the University of Michigan’s School of Music! I hope that we can meet or even play together one day! I’ll definitely be investing in your mallets.
Before even watching the video I know they will be lightweight mallets so I doubt I will buy them but congrats buddy!! To further explain... I like my mallets as heavy as possible. I work with my hands all day as a plumber so my grip is overly strong and I find more weight to be easier to control and gives me a far wider range of dynamics as well as allowing me to use free-fall strokes (I honestly don't know if that's a real thing or something I've discovered on my own) when I play fast licks so that I can alternate the muscle groups I use even during the same run to reduce fatigue.
@@AdamTanPercussion I might just have to try them anyway lol. Check out my edited comment. ☝️ BTW, I challenge you to spend a week solid if you haven't before using the heaviest mallets you own and forcing yourself to make great music with them. It's the only way for me, lightweights may as well be toothpicks in my hands.
When I first got my own marimba last fall I bought those $17 mallets you featured here. They are a great value but dang they are feathers. And I played with them for several months untill my arms developed severe pain every time I played. I then realized it could be the weight of the mallets. I bought some heavier mallets and everything was fixed instantly, the warmth of my marimba improved ten times over, and the pain was gone. I believe I was using muscles on every stroke to force the mallet down and up with no use of momentum at all and that was destroying my arms with the lighter mallets.
Would love to get them!! would you still use the grad set for a 4.3/4.6 marimba or only for 5 octaves? Im stuck between 2 pairs of AT3s and the grad set. Would be a great help if someone could give me some advice!

"Look, it has my name on it" - my favorite Adam quote of 2022
Quite soft, but definitely very characteristic of the style of your music, kinda feels just right for the type of stuff like “a tender feeling” from SAO
Me explaining to my parents why I’m spending money on mallets when I just bought custom ones:
“It has his name! HIS NAME!”
MY NAMEEEEEE
You know everyone is excited for your mallets when no one has asked about that mini preview of a new piece yet lol. Congrats Adam!!!
Congratulations, my friend! Your own signature line of Encore mallets are hard earned and well deserved! You've worked so hard and it has paid off for you in spades! I couldn't be prouder of you!

Congratulations! It has been a long time coming.
Thank you Marshall! It was worth the wait :)))

Ah thank you so much that means a lot to me! Your support is appreciated too :))
@@AdamTanPercussion - How are your mallets different from the Nanae Mimura Series, and the new Robert Oetomo Series mallets? Thanks!
@@TheOssia my mallets are warmer than NM (but lighter in weight and bigger head size), and more articulate + projecting than Robert's :)

Awsome man, been watching you for a few years now, come a long way, happy to see you succeeding so much
Thank you dioooooo
Congrats Adam, this is great! Any chance we'll see you showing these off at PASIC this year?
Mmmm we'll see! They'll definitely be out by then either way :)
He'll yeah, finally got your own mallet series, congrats man, keep on going 👏
Congratulations @Adam Tan 🎉 indeed Encore mallets makes good mallets! You have made your mallets collection warm/ articulate sound with a nice bass soft mallet, curious what the final product sounds like. 🎉
Thank you Rob! Final product should sound more or less the same with a slightly less hard 1 mallet :)

Ahh thank you so much for supporting!
I will get a pair AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
also will encore come find you if you use any other mallets😆

Aw damn ok maybe first marimba mallet series then 😂
I just started getting into the Zeltsman mallets so I might like to try yours eventually if they are in a similar sound palette!

Ooh yeah
I can’t decide if I want to get these or the Calum Huggan mallets 😭
Nice! Any stores in Europe selling your mallets? Can't find any of the stors on Encores site selling them.
The lowest c on thet marimba sounds weird. Probably just the mic that picks up the overtones way too much, but it sounds off
Haha yes it always picks up the overtones in my studio 😬
Would love to get them!!

how did you make your own mallets?

He just put a sponsor in a video that is about selling mallets. Not that it is bad, just odd
