The red hunters are terrifying. Normal hunters were scary enough, but when these guys go into rampage mode it elevates my blood pressure to fire hydrant status lol
This was all i experienced on legendary. They predict your flight path even if it abruptly changes mid air. They are literal Hitscan-Andies its disgusting when you fight the two in the enclosed room towards the end of the game. And dont expect to outrun them either.

The new hunter sounds are probably the closest to what a creature like that would sound like. It sounds like thousands of tiny creatures screeching together at various tones.

I actually miss the noises from halo 2, especially their old roar when you killed their bond brother. Not saying the new roar is bad, it’s actually really intimidating and sounds like a rabid animal ready to tear you apart

Gamecheat did you notice a damage scaling with distance from ai? I was doing alot of ai battles and I noticed sometimes it takes ai ages to kill each other when you "player" are far enough away. I think this was done so that you always had time to save friendly marines. When you are far away damage to allies is decreased. I once observed 13 grunt disruptors take 10 seconds to kill a single Marine while I was far away. But when I got close the Marines died in a second or two.

I get extremely far and try to snipe the other enemies, then go in and Thruster spam to get to their backs . If you thruster into them then thruster out almost instantly, they will actually melee and expose their backs. Though now that I've maxxed out thruster and have plenty of rocket ammo (thunderstorm skull), the Hunters are now actually scared (I'm in "The Sequence", and in that one room with the Hunters, I thrustered to get camo and the captions actually said "Hunter: [Fearful roar]")
Would be Inter to have like two rounds of the fights. So when an Ai shreds another one or stun locks them at the start, maybe the second round we could see a different outcome especially in the really close matchups
Is it possible to make a "companion" type mod, maybe pallette swapping or just renaming the Hunter Myriad. Make a lore friendly Hunter companion, maybe an Arbiter convoy was aboard the infinity. Anyway, maybe it could work by having the Hunter be a permanent always on kind of companion. Maybe it could take the spot of a marine slot? Maybe other bosses could be used as well, like the grunt boss with the disruptor, and the Elite boss with the duelist energy sword
I wanna see all the bosses go up against the two hunters I'm the room at the same time and watch them all beg for death after 6 hours of trying to beat them.
@@garretttekampe9564 before you encounter them on Legendary, make sure your Dropwall is fully upgraded, it got me thru 4 Hunter battles, thanks to that I feel a bit more confident on taking them on
i noticed that some of the brutes were not moving on 30v30. is that a game engine limitation ? because they started moving later one by one, as if they were taking the spot of a dead ai.
Hmm, looking at this now and see zeretus die from like 20 chain gun projectiles and then look a t chief with full upgraded shields die from like 11,hmm,i guess chief is in some ways a bullet sponge if a 1000 health having asshole takes almost as much damage like a 90 health wielding character

to be fair, most of the HVT bosses can be killed like that. other than the Chieftains and Hunters, the rest go down nearly instantly to that.
