The zip tie doesn't really move on the 5's, thanks to the lace lock. I think the only shoes that it's a nuisance on are the Blazers and the AJ1's because it doesn't stay put, it slides around from left to right, or you can step on it if you were to wear them unlaced. I know, it's a matter of preference to most people. I think it's a neat motif, but not for everyone.
I made this mistake of listening to another UA-camr who said size down and I went size down on muslin and I was too tight, I had to sell and I lost money on it cuz it was worn once and I had to re buy my correct size for way more than I paid. If you have thin flat feet do not go size down it’ll be too snug. I wear 8.5 and it’s a true 8.5.

One of the reasons 5s aren't among my favs is that the tongue is too fat. The inner padding is too and they end up looking rally squatty when my fat ass is rocking them. These seem to eliminate those issues as these thin and elongate the silhouette. Too bad I caught mean Ls on these both times.
