Why the leather part look cracked, is it suppose to look like that, or after few times wearing the leather will crack due to low quality? Anyone who own it can give few insight about it
Just checking now and the resales are still surprisingly low which is crazy because the shoes are so fire and so wearable. I don't know how this isn't getting enough hype.
A year ago the economy was booming and people had more disposable income. Now people must spend on the essentials as inflation limits their purchasing power. No more stimmies, no more rent/mortgage deferrals, no more super low interest rates, high food and energy costs = no more jordans. It's not that people don't want them, it's they can't afford them anymore. That will in turn limit competition for resale value. Getting drunk is really fun, the hangovers suck. Economy is in the hangover phase.

Technically it's still a raffle, it's just 3 minutes instead of 15. Even if you hit buy 9am on the dot it stays in pending for 3 minutes before you get the results.
I honestly think most releases from Jordan brand this year have been average at best other than the georgetowns, there are very few pairs that I've truly fallen in love with this year in general other than the new balance 650's to be honest
@@dopedowh I got the heritage on release and it's definitely a good shoe and underrated but there is also no "wow factor" to it in my opinion. You should definitely get it though if you like it while the price is low!
The colourway determines the amount of hype the 1s recieve. The yellow taxis and the Chicago re-imagined will have the resellers flocking back like migrating birds

The cracked leather is a fake effect. They just sprayed stuff on the leather It then caused it to have that cracked effect. It’s all synthetic. They said so. A Ma Maniere 1’s had real cracked leather
Honestly, all the AJ1 releases this year (so far) have been weak, either the color way or color blocking is unmatched. There is one thing or the other that is missing with each one of them. In the case of these, i feel the grey should have been on the upper ankle area as well (instead of white), would have given a more even look. Just like how they should have made the swoosh black on the heritage, i feel like Jordan brand is either doing that on purpose to make a quick buck and save the better color ways for later, or they are just out of ideas.
@@ricmorales3406 People paint the mudguard black and turn them into bred toe, or even customize them to black toe, banned or Chicagos. The heritage color blocking is too bland . I understand it’s origins and how it was supposed to release in 84, but even when Travis took that color blocking he turned the swoosh black due to how bland it is. Same here, if the swoosh was black would have considered coping them.

I even managed to cop this on release day here in Norway as it sells out in the 1st few seconds, and that never happens to me! On the tag of the shoe Nike specifically states that the cracking of the leather is a superficial “effect” due to the paint used. I’m 34, soon 35, and I didn’t get a pair until 2014/2016 when it comes to AF1, and AJ1. I was a Adidas fan back in the day, and growing up, I do remember when kids used to wear AJ1 back in Junior High, like breds, green, black and white, and even some yellow, and I thought what are those? But back then 2003-2005 they weren’t hot here in Norway, we just had gotten with the platform shoe trend: Buffalo, which I had, plus their rendition of the skate shoe wave that came right after; és, Osiris etc.

I think the Sneaker game is severely impacted by COVID-19, many people are still sitting with deadstock shoes copped last whilst Nike and Adidas continue to release new news so people are choosing what they cop rather than go for everything like in the past.
It's not because of the shoes, it's hype. If a bunch of 14yo hypebeasts with absolutally no personality whatsoever declare J1 are "not it anymore bruh", they won't sell/resell like before.

These definitely did not sit in Taiwan Snkrs. They sold out quite fast. I expected to have a shot.. they are a very wearable color way. I like how they look with the coral laces.
