- Today I'm taking a look at this years most anticipated sneaker, The Jordan 1 Chicago Lost & found. This version of the Jordan 1 Chicago comes in familiar colours however has a whole new inspiration in the vintage look & pre distressed look. Everything from the box, included receipt & cracked leather is all to imagine a scenario of "coming up" on a DS pair of Jordan 1 Chicagos at a mom & pop shop.

Walmart killed Mom and Pop. The internet/Amazon was the nail in the coffin.
The irony about this shoe’s story is truly interesting. This shoe is definitely amazing with all the details. But it’s kinda sad and funny how Nike is paying homage to local mom and pop shops back in the day…. And ironically it was Nike and other powerhouse brands that put them out of business in the first place. Dusty oxidation on the outsole and sail midsole… love the aged look.

I don't.. they made the Chicago 1 for the reseller (need 20 J1 losses) and they made the a ma maniere 4 for the UA-camr (video submission). We're paying them to do their marketing because the sneaker market is down and this is how they profit.

They did that whole vintage effect on the Nigel Sylvester jordan 1 back in 2018 on the aged outsole and vintage bottom aged. These r 🔥 double up forsure
Clean cast Elliot… love this version of the Chicago. Nike have been adding vintage detail for years like the Vandall Supreme High way back. People always have issues but I’m down with the look. It’s a banger
I did the aged outsole look with a beige Posca pen on my Heritage and gave it a bred custom and also did the beige outsole on the mystic blue lows... looks nice.
I’m definitely getting a pair. They’re dope, I gotta admit I still wish it was just a regular Chicago 1.

OGs sneakerheads would understand this whole mom and pop themed stories where u find a DS from back in '85s & '90s trend. The vintage aesthetic was a huge trend in the '20s where sneakerheads would buy vintage Nikes from mom and pops. Most of it came from Japan.
These will bring back the hype to jordan 1s

Demand is high but they produced enough pairs to go around for once . These are better than patent breds imo but I think they will perform similarly, half a million pairs ain’t getting backdoored .
These are better than the patent breds bc they are in regular leather. Lots of people don’t like patent leather and it’s less versatile than this. Bred version of these would be fire tho it would be dope if they kept it going on all the OG 1 colorways

Let’s not forget Nike/Jordan Brand has done this vintage look over a decade ago with notably the ‘10 AJKO pack and ‘12 OG Air Max pack.

New Jordan 1 OGs (produced after 2014) run big for sure. I wear size 12 in AM1s & size 11.5 in Jordan 1 OGs. If it’s just a regular Jordan 1 low or mid they don’t run big & I wear size 12.

I don’t like how it isn’t in true OG form. Can’t understand the ridiculous hype around the ‘Chicago’ color blocking either. I mean it’s ok, but nothing special. Materials don’t look that amazing and the unnecessary textures to give it that artificial “aged” look just cheapens it.

If these fall around 300-350 after the release date and I don’t get it for retail, I might have to pay resell for them.

I don't care for all the people who say they just want a regular chicago without the distressing. Trutfhfully, these are likely the last chicagos Nike release for many years and resale prices don't look too bad and will only go down by release time. Add to that the cool vintage story surrounding these, and I'll happily go for these, even if I need to buy resale. These are a crazy good sneaker overall, it's a damn jordan chicago high after all, even with the faux aging.
