This case happend in the very hospital I was born and Tunbridge Wells is my home town. I saw Eleanor Neal's video on this and my jaw hit the floor when I first watched it!

@@TylerMcL3morethere's a difference between wolves and humans, though, lol. A person can survive without meat and not even need any supplements (though they will need animal products like dairy and eggs), but a wolf cannot.
I'd like to rot away and be consumed by creatures when I die, too. It'd be lovely to be buried in my garden, or in a nearby forest. I wish there were more ways to do that legally, but I understand to an extent why corpse disposal is regulated quite strictly.

At least these poor people had a voice, my heart broke thinking of someone who struggled with painful emotions related to acute depression who subsequently took their own lives, only to be horrendously violated sexually in the afterlife....

Actually it happened to my sister in law, by an exboyfriend. We've never really processed this, a lovely girl just gone, and the terrible things after. His only explanation was "if I can't have her, no one else will". His family were broken, too.

@@mehmeh-yu7eo People *believe* that it commonly happens, both in the USA and the UK. Fortunately, it rarely happens in fact, and authorities separate people who might be targeted from the general population. You dont entrust justice to criminals. And anybody in a position of authority who would let this happen should be sentenced extremely heavily, IMO. We have courts of law instead of lynchings for a reason.

When I was attending a Health Care course years ago, my instructor was a Nurse and told the class that a man who transported bodies to the morgue of the Hospital she worked in at the time was fired for doing something suspicious to the bodies. Now Hospitals have a strict policy that must consist of 2 people to do this job. I myself who worked at a large Hospital had to go with a transport worker to take a body to the morgue. It was a night shift and they didn't have any other transport staff available to go with him. So I had to go; a health care assistant who worked on the ward. So the policy had to be strictly followed.

I was heavily abused for 3 years in the flat I lived in with my bf at the time, by my bf at the time. It was a block of 40 flats. We shared walls with people. I know they could hear me screaming. I nearly died multiple times. No one ever tried to help.

My grandmother died at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury in 2001. The feeling of your stomach dropping when you realise that your grandmother’s body could have been abused by a hospital staff member is absolutely horrendous.

I hope this is reassuring, but in 2001 David was working at the Kent and Sussex hospital, not at the Tunbridge Wells hospital in Pembury, so it’s likely your grandmother rested peacefully while she was there ❤
My mum was in Pembury hospital morgue for 6 weeks about 4 years ago now and yes it is better not knowing, she was a very caring nurse all her life and that i am very proud of her xxx love you mum xxx

I work in a mortuary and this case has caused so much extra security around where we work. I’m not sure why they didn’t have reduced access to the mortuary in the first place, but hopefully cases like this won’t be able to happen in the future! This awful man was not mortuary staff, we (or at least all the ones I have met) are caring, hardworking people who will always go out of our way to look after our patients ❤
It's good to know that this case has highlighted the need for tight security everywhere in a hospital and I do think these hospitals were disgustingly negligent for not monitoring their security properly. However I do also feel that it was likely because no body would ever imagine this kind of thing would ever happen. I can understand why the security they had in place seemed enough and that this monster took advantage by manipulating a system and by being a seemingly trustworthy member of staff.
It's easy to say in hindsight that I'd rather know there was a CCTV recording of my loved one's post-mortem or care in a mortuary that is stored safely and with dignity than having someone do this to them. But who would ever worry about something like this until it happens to them? I know that the staff would assume because of their respect and dignified treatment of the people in their care in the mortuary that they'd expect everyone else to feel the same. I imagine when others were around this monster showed similar respect and dignity too.
I feel so sorry for the mortuary staff for this awful violation - I feel this is a crime against them too. They were not at fault in my opinion and it shouldn't mean that mortuary workers have a black Mark against their reputation. Its the hospital management and security who are at fault here in my opinion.
Who would be on the lookout for something like this?! I'm sure it never crossed their minds because they were honest and trusting, good people. This disgusting excuse for a human was a trusted member of staff too and knew exactly how to abuse the trust of others. I'm sure the staff would have been very protective and quick to act if a stranger was hanging around the mortuary.
It's easy to pass judgement in hindsight. Unfortunately it's part of the human experience that failure is the most successful way to learn and grow. If this happens again, that's when there would be some serious fault.
I hope you and your colleagues aren't too badly affected by this in the long term. Take pride in knowing that you honour and respect the people you care for and know that this case has highlighted to the public how important you and your job is to our society. It's quite an invisible thing and something that not a lot of people think about and so you probably don't get the recognition you deserve on the whole. We appreciate you ❤
Yes, it’s hard for people like us to even think to put certain measures in place when we are normal individuals who would never do something as depraved as this man. It’s very unfortunate that often it takes something horrible to happen for improvements to be made…
But I’d like to think myself and other people in the field will be able to use this case to ensure things like this don’t happen again!! It is scary to think about what happens when we die but I’d like people to be comforted that there are people like me and my colleagues who simply want the most respect for our patients ♥️ Thank you for recognising that :)
I think he was one of the staff that cleaned the mortuary, which is why he had access (don’t quote me on that though).
@alixthompson2836 he wasn't a cleaner, he was the electrician/general handy man and would be down there to fix equipment and stuff. So not actually mortuary staff but hospital staff. I think it's ridiculous that no one questioned him visiting the morgue EVERY day. That's obviously not right.

Person who worked in HR for a health service told me ( a few years back) that for every one of these people you hear about, there's another 8 or 9 that you don't. Just quietly sacked.
That's horrifying. I think the worst part though is that I believe it without a single doubt.
I worked in a hospital moving patients to the mortuary, this story is hearthwrenching. You have to understand that that people in this line of work couldn't fathom monsters like this, which is why it often takes a tragedy like this to bring change for the better.
The first thing they teach is dignity and respect for the patient, we would often talk to them, explain what we were doing and why, pass on our condolences and comfort.
That _anyone_ could do something so vile is beyond me. David deserves no dignity, no resect, and no comfort.

The only thing that does that is a focus on rehabilitation rather than retribution (although a small number of people cannot be rehabilitated and are incompatible with society), and lots of funding for social programs to keep people out of poverty and desperate situations (most crime is the result of poverty).
@@an_annanas respectfully, I disagree with some of your points. I thinks lots of crime is fueled by addiction. I agree social programs are important so is not encouraging pregnancies before stability. Rehab should be offered in prisons but you must draw the line at violent crime. In those cases I do not believe rehabilitation is the main goal. Not giving early parole and housing violent sexual offenders away from the rest of society, not ineffective rehab and release to reoffend. Stealing and property crime is one thing. Rape assault and murder are quite over. But you rational polite opinion is appreciated and respected, just don't agree with it for violent offenders

Its probably because law makers have never really had to consider how they'd prosecute and sentence a crime like this because its just so unthinkable and nobody would ever believe it could happen until it does. I feel like this case should really shine a light on how that needs to change because unfortunately as technology advances and we become more knowledgeable about these depraved people we will see more and more of this come to light. Its probably always happened (although not on this level) but it has managed to remain in the shadows and outskirts of understanding. That's the downside of us all becoming more knowledgeable and aware 😢
Right?! This is so strange to me because in cases of like rape, for example, each different person is another added count and punishment. Hell, even in cases of CP, usually the way they do it is like each individual photo is another added count (I believe- I could be wrong on that though) and so on, etc.

I have seen video of him putting his hands where they shouldn't be on women so blatantly that the women just don't know what to do, made me sick to watch.

@@amybishop666 She actually showed a map of the hospital in the video. There were no cameras in the autopsy/examination rooms to "protect patient integrity." David took this job because he knew that he could take full advantage of it. He would have only been seen entering and exiting the morgue.

mad respect to the investigators who went through all those horrible materials. I felt sick even listening to the short descriptions of them, and I can't imagine what it was like literally watching them. Hope counselling was provided to all impacted.

Can you imagine, it's always been a dream of yours to help people by solving crimes done against them, that's your passion. You know it's going to be the opposite of sunshine and rainbows, years pass and your faith in humanity has been shredded to ribbons, but then you have to work a case like this. Probably quite a few officers and investigators had to quit just to preserve what remains of their mental health. 😔

You know what I thought when you said that? How can someone see all that and still be a normal person? It's got to be hard on a person's psyche.
Even if there are no cameras in the post mortem room, why didn't anyone ever realize how often David was going in the morgue? He had no reason to go into a morgue that often. Then why didn't they check the cameras to see what he was doing in there? They might not be able to see what he was doing to them, but they would have been able to see removing bodies from the coolers.
He wasn't there often, in fact.100 bodies over the course of many years means that he was acting only once in a while. And nobody was seeing him removing the bodies, or they would have been alerted. An electrician can have good reasons to be in the morgue, but not any to move the corpses.
I fail to understand how any tampering with the corpses went unnoticed by mortuary staff, let alone not be discovered during an actual post mortem. Surely, there are some serious questions to be asked in this respect. Thank you Danielle for an excellent presentation .... & a lovely job with the makeup.
That's what I was wondering. Maybe he knew the system for which people had had their post mortem examination and were awaiting burial or cremation.

It’s unfathomable to me that NONE of the mortuary staff noticed anything untoward was going on. You don’t notice a body-a body it’s your JOB to prepare-has been assaulted? There’s no physical evidence at all to raise any alarms…? This case is so deeply upsetting on so many levels. Thank you, Danielle, for enduring the history and sharing these victims’ stories with us all.
This is what I was thinking! But I think perhaps its just so unthinkable that even if something did seem weird, the staff would probably not allow their minds to go there. It probably didn't ever even enter their mind as a possibility. Hopefully this case means the people in this position in future will be on the lookout.
How sad to think that because of this monster, the people who have bravely chosen to do this very important yet difficult job to bring closure to families and dignity to the dead now have to add this to their mental load. I'm sure the things they see weigh heavy on their hearts and minds at times anyway without having to worry about something aa heinous as this 😢
It honestly depends. It sounds like he did make an effort to not get caught. He most likely left them in the expected prone position as if nothing happened.
Dead bodies don't bruise so if he used a condom or even clean up after any damage done may have been assumed to be done when the person was alive or covered up by what injuries/disheveled one would expect from the circumstances in which they died.
It sounds as if he did the mostly before autopsy, so unless they were looking for a murder victim, most post mortems would not be suspicious of signs of recent sexual activity.
Of course in the case of the child , you would think it would raise some questions. But chances are most attendants would assume it happened before being brought to the morgue.
Or they did notice some cases but were unsure of who might be doing it and suspected other attendants, pathology department or emergency staff/transport before thinking of an electrician.
As a nurse, I hate to say that often when you raise a concern about something seeming off or unusual, you get treated with suspicion more than management trying to get to the bottom unless it involves missing meds or some major financial liability for the hospital.
Unless someone comes into the mortuary with suspicions in place eg murder etc or there are obvious marks and keep in mind the dead don’t bruise. What exactly do you think there would be to see that the mortuary techs missed.
Also not all bodies that come to the mortuary are examined.
But thanks for putting blame on the mortuary staff, that’s a real kick in the guts for a job you probably know fuck all about.

@@maloryj7165 They dont examine the bodies. Unless they are there for a post mortem, which is relatively rare, they simply clean and store them until a funeral home collects them. No blame can be placed on staff, there camera placement is inline with correct policy, staff having card access to all areas, even as maintenance staff, as general staff have more access than most as they arent area specific, is within policy, the only person at fault here is sick pervert that committed the crimes.
The UK has an awful lot of "over-looked" clues and evidence like this. Makes me wonder.

The story of the 9 year old girl literally brought me to tears. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I can't even imagine what her mother went through. 💔

likely when someone else mentions it, a different aspect of his mind activates and makes it more real to a point where he becomes forced to consciously reflect on what he did, and if he doesn't lack empathy 100%, it will elicit an emotional response and maybe a bit of guilt and remorse.

"Uncomfortable" can mean many things. He could also get very "turned on" discussing and describing what he did, so saying he was "uncomfortable" was a way to keep him from being aroused and giving himself away.

Probably not, they don't do a forensic examination on bodies released to a funeral home. Furthermore morticians are not trained in recognizing that sort of thing. Some may eventually learn to recognize such things but they're only trained to make the bodies look "good" for the funerals.
That's not their job, and anyway dead people can have had sexual activity before death so it wouldn't mean anything.

100 bodies over the course of many years.means that he wasn't there very often, in fact. That's even assuming that someone was actually watching the footage, and it probably wasn't the case unless there was a reason for it (say, something was stolen, drugs were missing...)

It made me sick to my stomach, but what my emotions couldn't handle was when the police had to inform the victims families of what had happened. It broke me down crying. NOBODY should EVER have to tell others about something like that, and NOBODY should be on the receiving end of that conversation 😭😭😭
I love the fact the UK doesn't just close a cold case because it's cold, and that kept them man from continuing his reign of hospital terror longer than what he would have gone had they not found the DNA match. This case truly got to me, and I teared up with you Danielle, this one is horrific and heartbreaking to the max. I agree. I know in a lot of cases the police fall short of what we expect but these officers did an unbearable job with an incredible amount of dignity. I feel so sorry for them for having to see what they have but so proud of these officers for doing it anyway to bring justice to the victims and their families. Its nice to watch a case that makes me feel proud of our police because despite all of the awful stuff we hear about police misconduct regularly it means that the thousands of officers who are out there daily doing us proud without recognition are brought into the spotlight. They probably feel worse than we do when they see all of the awful stuff about other police in the news and face discrimination because of those terrible examples. Its probably very hard for them to keep morale up in the current climate.
Of course the terrible police behaviour and misconduct should be brought to our attention and should be dealt with. The sad thing is that the police staff that go about their careers doing nothing but good day in, day out don't get recognition or praise on the level that they deserve. Their dedication and hard work is overshadowed by all of the officers and higher ups that are despicable and disgrace our forces.
So to any police or families of police who may read my comment - well done and the public are so proud and grateful to you and we do see and recognise the tireless hard work you do in cases like these ❤

The USA 2% seems like a Shamefully Low rate of ultimate success! Cold cases are Not Re-Opened nearly Often Enough here in the US.
Since they are indeed Officially CLOSED, the case Evidence is Archived. Victims & those Victims' Families are typically gradually forgotten, with the passage of time. UNLESS those Familial Victims CONTINUE TO PRESS the Police to Re-Open the case - and sometimes, even when those families DO Champion their loved one's case & press Hard for continued investigation - here in the US, very Little ever seems to happen with the Vast majority of Closed "Cold" Cases.
As I said before, I wonder what that Percentage of ultimately Solving these types of cases is in the UK? where all unsolved cases remain Open & are periodically Reviewed? It would be interesting to know whether these two quite disparate approaches to police work ultimately result in significantly different rates of cases being actually Solved?
Because the Police have Closed the cases, families Here in the USA must resort to hiring private investigators (PIs) to Find new evidence & they must then PRESS the Police to FORMALLY RE-OPEN their loved one's Case, in order for the police to even be able to officially Investigate that new evidence.

The sad thing is that with both this case & Lucy Letby, one of the major reason's they were not caught earlier comes down to funding - our NHS is so drastically underfunded so many corners are having to be cut and things are being overlooked as the system is not as fully functional as the general public believe.

One thing I don't understand is why did the police HAD to tell the families what happened to their diseased loved ones. Clearly no one was gaining anything positive from that. It excuses nothing he had done but the people were already dead, no trauma was done to them, but the living family members would surely be traumatized or hurt in some ways by that news. Clearly hearing "your dead daughter was sexually assaulted at the morgue" can't be good on your sanity.

I work hospital security in a city that I'm convinced is a freaking hellmouth and all manner of depravity goes down in and around hospitals. You are right to question how nobody noticed his comings and goings in the morgue. At my place nobody is allowed to go into the morgue without security or specific medical/administrative supervision for a variety of reasons sadly including potential necrophilia. It's scary and disturbing how many people like him are out there. I wont say its common but its a lot more than people think.

That’s how our hospital is. When we have to take someone down there and the morgue worker isn’t there, we have to call security to let us in. You can’t just come and go as you please. There’s also a security camera pointed directly at the door.
I know someone who had a colleague who’s partner was arrested for sleeping with corpses and he had some weird sores on him from doing stuff with a dead body.
It didn’t even make the papers.

My husband doesn't understand how scary it is when he is not home. I confessed to the maintenance man my concerns about the locks and doors. I came home the next day to brand new locks and he even cut some wood pieces for the windows so they are a lot harder to open. I cried. No one should have to feel unsafe I'm their own homes. Husband was confused but was happy that I was happy.

I'm not being facetious at all when I say I think you would really benefit from therapy. Your fears are not totally unfounded, but it sounds like it's causing you a LOT of distress and a therapist can really help you deal with and control that fear. I was the same, and am so much happier these days.
I am absolutely blown away by this case. This man is an absolute monster. The part about the 9 year old girl made me cry. The mother carefully picking out a nice outfit, the toys so she wouldn’t be alone, and the note from her shows how much she loved that child and this monster to see that and not care is beyond disgusting. I understand that most people aren’t going to see someone in a morgue and think they’re doing awful, creepy stuff but still not is a good enough excuse for having security so lax that this was able to happen for so long. Between this and the nurse case I sincerely hope these hospitals make some much needed changes.

When I heard about this child i was sick to my stomach. You figured during an autopsy assault would have been noticed and documented. Saying this child has been done this way to cops launching an investigation to those she was around. Some innocent person could have been charged for it knowing that they didn't do it. Plus if i was security I'd have noticed this man going into the morgue so often I'd have asked what is wrong down there to need maintenance so often. Then again thats just who i am as a person. I notice stuff others don't pay much attention to. I'd have noticed if he visited several times a week especially if it was several times a day. It shows how lax everyone is at their jobs.
@@kaseys2004 autopsies aren't normally performed unless requested because they are very expensive. usually in a hospital autopsies won't be requested unless there is a discrepancy in the cause of death.

The death of a child is harder to take. I'm betting her cancer took her unfortunately (wish there were a cure.) Its just the bodies are bathed so I'm guessing he used a condom bc when a body is prepared for burial all holes are plugged to prevent seepage. (Sounds gross but it does happen, i wanted to be an embalmer.) Semen i just figured would have bern discovered either during a full autopsy or during the washing.
I know this is quite heavy to say but tbh if I found out someone messed with my dead kids body like that, I'd need to be checked into a psych ward and put on suic!de watch because that would absolutely break me. Amount of child porn is something unimaginable. Like how many children will be used for those sick purposes and dont even remember it when they adults. And how many will suffer rest of their life from trauma. Sometimes it’s just depressing and deeply sad that those things happen and will happen over and over again.
The words of Azra’s Mother in regards to Fullers assault of her body are some of the most heartbreaking I have ever heard. They have stuck with me in a way very few have. The deep grief compounded by the disgusting violation her daughter body is just absolutely untenable. I wish for her peace.

There’s still so many of us who are still in limbo not knowing if the unidentified bodies were our family members. It was shocking enough to hear on the news but for it to be the first time we were hearing it and knowing we had family members in that mortuary at multiple different times while David Fuller was there was just sickening and surreal. My heart goes out to all the families impacted by this ❤️

And remember dead body isn’t going to bruise like a live person would. If they’re looking inside to see why someone died, I don’t think they’d have any reason to examine their external genitals closely. I don’t know that for sure but that’s the only reason I can think.

There should be more security in Mortuary's and Morgues. I knew a sick fella in the 1970s who was sacked from a hospital after being found dancing around the mortuary with the body of a 14 year old girl... I think that he was charged as well with interfering with a dead body. Also knew a funeral director who was caught having sex with cadavers, he got ten years for that... There are some sick people out there...

There are so many thoughts I have about this case… But my god, can you imagine being his lawyer in court?! Having to fight for his freedom? Yuck. Terrible job.
I have a lot of respect and sympathy for the lawyers who have to do that kind of thing. They get a lot of abuse flung their way, but SOMEBODY has to do what they do in order for some semblance of justice to be carried out :/

I guess that the hospital never in a million years thought someone would be doing that to the resting souls.
I love the way Danielle focuses on the victims and remembering them rather than putting all the focus on the criminal. Danielle is so empathetic to all these victims!
I've never started crying from one of these videos before. I've been disgusted, outraged, saddened, but I've never cried. The story about the 9-year-old girl and the toys and the note hit me like a freight train and I had to take a break because I started to cry. What an absolute monster. There aren't strong enough words.
Yup got me too. I am laying in bed unable to sleep next to my beautiful 2 year old son and that just broke my heart
from a CSI, you cover these cases perfectly, you have so much empathy and sympathy and i love how you talk about the evidence. you also always have the craziest cases that i’ve never heard!! i watch a lot of true crime, and almost every video you put out i’m like “how tf did i not know about this” 😂
How did no one notice that the bodies had been abused when they prepare the bodies for burial??
It's not a mortician's job to do a post mortem, and besides a dead person can have had sex before death.Unless there's an inquiry and the body is autopsied, nobody is going to look for or notice sexual activity.
I get the impression that the only reason David cried when he was caught was because he'd lost access to his precious corpses.
I don’t understand why anyone who developed all the photos of the sick stuff he constantly photographed, told anyone. Also about his first murder, her neighbors saw him watching her many times, yet none of them reported it to the police or at the very least, none of them told the victim that someone had been watching her over and over. I truly hope those people feel guilty because they could have prevented her murder and the future murders he committed.
And i wonder how he could develop the photos, where, how? In '90? And they didnt see dead people on the photographs?
He would have been developing them himself I imagine. It's not that tricky and not too expensive to get set up.

@kiciakowak How could he develop his photos in the 90s? Like... normally. You could've developed your photos in the 60s or any other time as well. Everywhere without access to light. In a bathroom for example. This is not something hard and expensive to do.
@@kiciakowak Developing colour film and printing the photos isn't all that complicated. It's fiddly and technical and requires some special equipment, but this guy was an electrician, so I'm sure he wouldn't have found it all that challenging.
I clearly remember this case however I didn’t know all the horrendous detail beyond the murders of those two beautiful young women in the 80s. He is one sick evil bas*ard and I hope his time in prison is the hardest that it can possibly be.
Danielle you always treat each case with such care and compassion and the end section remembering the victims is such a respectful thing to do, not only for the victims but also for the families and friends who may see these videos.

I have been following true crime for 4 decades. This case is possibly the most frustrating I have ever heard. Having said that, I thank you for your exhaustive and thorough presentation. Very well done.

Danielle!! I love your videos so much! I wonder if you could do one on Jeanette Maples (16) in Eugene, Oregon. Her “mom” was Angela McAnulty and her “stepdad” was Richard McAnulty. They starved and tortured her, including making their other children feed feces to her. She was the size of, like a 10-year-old or so when she was finally rescued. She died soon after and her “parents” were prosecuted but I wish they would die. Please do a video for Jeanette to honor her. Love you! 💕💕

The families of his hospital victims should NEVER have been notified…. What possible benefit could it bring to the case? It only served to horrify the innocent family members.. I would have sued the people/entity for traumatizing the memory of my family member..
The hospital's security team failed greatly. No one ever checked the CCTV to notice his regular visits & no one did a yearly routine security access control review on his hospital ID on the days/times he frequented the hospital morgue.
Why would they check the CCTV unless there was a reason for it? Don't you think that hospitals have more pressing priorities than paying people to spend their days watching CCTV footage of nothing happening? Besides,divide the number of cases by the number of years, and you'll realize that his visits weren't that frequent.
Working in a hospital it reminds me of the security and protection we need to place in a place most of us are icked about and try to avoid. Thank you Daniel for shinning a light in dark places for all of us to remember to protect!

This happened so recently. Security is very lax. Makes me think he and Lucy Letby are not the only ones that commited these type of crimes over the decades. Im hoping to hear they have upped security in hospitals. Theres probably much worse that has happened that we dont know about.
I agree with this so much! I believe that hospitals are a breeding ground for narcissistic and power-hungry People who want to exact control over people. I've been in hospital more times than I can even count and its been generally an awful and traumatic experience almost every time. I obviously have come across doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants (and so on) that are what you imagine when you picture these people. Kind, compassionate and working very hard in a very difficult job to make all patients feel safe, comfortable and cared for. These people are more valuable than stardust because unfortunately in my experience there are at least an equal amount (likely more) of staff that are not kind and caring - to put it mildly.
Because of the absolute magnitude of the NHS and all of the legal protection they have, staff get away with almost anything because its always your word against theirs. Their colleagues will usually back them up blindly and I've had my records doctored on so many occasions to reflect their version of events and there's absolutely no way to prevent that. If you do try to complain, you will be buried alive in red tape, paperwork and protocols.
I've been neglected, abused and mistreated so many times over the years that I have horrific PTSD and I've witnessed other patients being treated this way literally every time I've been in hospital. It would turn people's stomachs to know how elderly and the most vulnerable Patients are treated when there's no one else around. Many times ive had to get up and look after another patient myself (despite being very ill myself) because I can't bear to see other people suffering, especially when there's no way they can care for themselves.
The attitude in the UK about our NHS staff is so twisted its scary. For the lucky people out there who have never needed to have any prolonged contact with them and just go to their GP for the odd infection or minor illness and perhaps only A&E for a rare broken bone or similar - I understand why they have a generally good opinion of these services. If your complaint is common and easy to fix you usually are treated very well because you're easy to patch up and send on your way. If your complaint is unusual or means some deeper investigation is needed, you're in trouble.
Obviously this case and Lucy Letby's case have sickened and horrified me; they didn't surprise me at all. Its not hard for me to imagine doctors and nurses harming patients deliberately or through neglect and lack of care. I've witnessed it with my own eyes. I've been injected with a medication that has caused me severe anaphylaxis after telling everyone multiple times insistently that I was allergic. I asked the nurse as she connected the syringe to my IV and she lied to my face before injecting it anyway. Imagine her surprise when I had to be rushed to resuscitation! They all just thought I was attention seeking and wanted a different drug despite it being recorded in my notes. This is just one of many incidents. A doctor threw a cannister of gas across the room at me because he lost his temper. Deliberately hurting patients does occur, way more frequently than anyone would like to believe.
When I watched the Letby case play out I was absolutely heartbroken and felt a connection to the families of the victims so strongly. I also felt hopeful that it coming to light and the absolute disgraceful behaviour of the management would make the public less trusting of the NHS. People need to not trust these people blindly because of their uniform and need to be an active participant in their own Care. They need to advocate for themselves (or their loved ones) and not be afraid to ask questions and have things explained to them. They need to understand the rights they have as a patient and they need to speak up and not accept sub-par care. Too many people just allow the staff to do whatever and just trust blindly that its the best course of action and that their best interests are being considered.
If these two cases have just come to light now I feel its glaringly obvious that these cases of abuse of power within the NHS are not isolated incidents.

I would happily still listen even if she wasn't doing the make up. I've always avoided the make up, crime channels but I do like this one. Just for the "story telling". I believe in the early years of her channel it was a make up only channel, so she made a good segway to the crime genre.
I like her voice and her compassion. Her makeup looks great too and makeup videos are relaxing to me. Her eyes always look so beautiful. I wish I could do makeup like that. It just never looks right on me.

I'm not into makeup either, even tho I'm a lady, but as weird as it is, I use her videos as a background podcast while im at work. So I don't even watch the actual video and see the makeup, I put my earphones on and just listen when there is a boring long day ahead.
I recommend trying that if you're not a fan of makeup :D
