This was such an interesting look at how you tackled a big project. Really great to the the finished result. Thanks for sharing your process and experience with it.
Thank you. Almost everything I have learnt about rigging in Blender was from your channel, and your courses, so I'm truly glad that you like my stuff. :)
You are a great artist, you should do a course for Udemy or something, I am sure many people would be interested in buying a course explaining how to do your animations.
Hi there, I'm so glad that you asked. That was really fun and simple. All I did was create a new layer in the grease pencil object with a big rectangle skewed off to the right, with the light material attached. Then all I have to do is mask that layer to the colour layer of the arm. Then after some glow effects in the Effects tab, we have some interesting lighting. I also did something similar to cast the shadow onto the table. Thanks again for asking, :)
Question: Do you start a new Blender project for every scene in your animation, or do have one Blender project comprised of multiple 'Blender scenes' for each of your shots?
Hi there, thank you for your comment. It is possible to use a single blender file with multiple scenes, and I have used this in the past to create animatics/storyboards, but for larger projects, I tend to make new files for each scene. It just helps me keep everything organised. I hope that you find this answer helpful :D
@@Mr.POLiS_Cartoons Hi again. Just realized that I misread your initial comment. (I thought you were asking about rigging in general). The cable was a simple chain of bones, with control bones at every joint. I showed something similar for the eyebrow rig in this video (ua-cam.com/video/dXLs5lVX0ys/v-deo.html) Again, so sorry that I didn't respond for so long :)
And all of these are only with Blender and Grease Pencil! Brilliant!
An excellent breakdown and instruction. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
This video is full of great food for thought. Thank you for sharing it!
What an amazing breakdown of all the effects. Congratulations! The talent, man! Great stuff!

Nicely done with the animation!

Could you please explain the cable rig a bit more?
Great job again!
Hi there, sorry for the long delay. I'm working on a tutorial at the moment, which should come out soon, covering 2D character rigging in Blender. :)
@@SketchySquirrel Thanks for the reply!
Lovely, can't wait for it!
