Very nice video! Some good info! Appreciate you taking the time to share with us. Keep up the fantastic work my friend! Say hello to Molly and Trout for me!
@blaccsilverstaff5484 nice i found some slabs yesterday mostly gills but crappie too, water seemed clean enough, I'll go back there tuesday after work and keep me a dozen or 2 chunky gills
Subbed, I notice you used a Lew's Speed Stick Combo in this video I use this exact combo for cat fishing and carp fishing, though I have since gotten a newer rod and reel combo that is a bit more heavy duty. Probably gonna start using the old speed spin as a dedicated bass/pan fish rod now
@aikokobamew5302 its decent, definitely not the best setup for panfish specifically, nowadays I use ultralight and microlight setups usually. Thanks for watching.
@michaelapanasewicz9967 start with size 6, you can go a little smaller if you need to. The rod was nothing special. I recommend using a light or ultralight setup with enough length to get a good cast so probably 6 feet or more
@JackRR15 too big for bluegill unless you are trying to weed out smaller fish and only going for big ones. Not saying you won't hook any but you will hook much less
@@SunfishKing Yeahhh I use them on 2.5inch Gulp minnows, it's more of my catch anything bait although I did start that by targetting bluegill/pumpkinseed because at this lake we gof eveyr time we stop somewhere in our kayak, there's like 15-20 bluegill/pumpkinseed that just come out and are so curious, they try to eat my line that lays on water or just even try nibble the kayak. So easy to avoid the skunk haha and I always just drop my line down on them with my minnow, some will defiintely just eat the bait and try to run with the tail of it. But also it's nice to target the bigger ones to as I do more fun fishing than for eating. They are such beautiful looking fish
Great info! We caught a few in Montana when we were there on vacation. My kids liked fishing for them. They are cute little guys.
Thanks!

what's with the one floating and flopping to death, did ya gut hook it and just throw it back.
By the looks of it, I would say it's probably dying. Your guess is as good as mine.
Welcome to life and how ruthless it is

Nice video what was the rod that you used and what size hook would you recommend

Your Fantastic!!
Dang did I miss it? Lol..I'll go catch the replay..
🤣 all you missed was some dinks 🤣
nice video!do you just fish the bottom?
Lately I've been slamming them on a worm and jighead or crappie jigs.
@@SunfishKing i mean do you just let the sinker sink to the bottom ?
@@yongfuchen7066 not if the fish gets to it first.
New sub! Enjoyed watching!!
Thanks
Awesome!!!
Thanks

great way to catch bait
Ive definitely filled some bait buckets this way. Lately ive been doing a lot more weightless bait fishing
Would have been more helpful if we could see what you're doing with the reel
Well I'm grabbing the handle and turning. Have you never fished before?
@@SunfishKing I have but I'm sure many haven't. They can't see things like how fast you're reeling, or if you're stopping ang resuming, etc...
@testeraccount5139 I think he's just tossing it out and letting them bite the hook since he's using live bait.
Damn hook size 6, my jighead have hook size 2.
