    It is times like these where I am able to listen to a 20 minute conversation in Chinese and fully understand everything without having to look at the screen at the subtitles, that I know I have improved. Listening to Chinese music and watching Chinese dramas (with subs) has helped tremendously for me. The pitch was the hardest obstacle, but once you learn it and can hear it, the language really opens up to you.

    Mandarin grammar is far easier than western languages:
    No gender, no plural form, no conjugation, no inflection, no case, no letter typo, no bullshit 💥💥

      Ikr I'm planning to learn Chinese and now I'm learning first most of the characters I'll need (using the Heisig method it will take me a bit more than a month as I'm doing 50 a day) because I've already seen how easy grammar is and I know I will be able to go fast through it.

      @@kinulidd0598 omg 50 a day using heisig sounds painful... Good luck 🤞
      Personally, I learn ~10 or so a day, by reading material that contains words with those new characters, and then by finding other words with those characters, so I get the core meaning of each character

    三,我最喜欢的是… 英文字幕是红色的背景黄色的。把手机的 brightness 调低一下就只能看清楚白色的中文字幕。helps me focus on the Chinese subtitle and ignore the English

    15:50 This makes me very sad. I started singing at the age of 14. It was really bad. And then I learn guitar at 16. Now I'm 20 and I accept I'm a tone deaf. I need more practice and time to train my ear than an average person. I'm also a polyglot wannabe. Hearing the connection of pitch between music and language makes me very sad since it literally says I have disadvantages at both.

    I have listened to your video at least three times. Although I understand most of it, I cannot speak that fast. I am naturally a slow speaker. How do I overcome that problem?

    • @RitaChinese
      @RitaChinese  2 роки тому

      Glad to know that you've been using this video for learning! Do you mean that you speak slowly in your mother tongue, too? Hmmm if so, you may want to speed up in your mother tongue, and try to repeat the sentence a few times after you are 100% sure about you want to say. Just get used to speaking in a faster speed first. Let me know if it helps!

    • @sasino
      @sasino 2 роки тому

      You don't necessarily have to speak fast, what you say is more important than how fast you say it
