I’m pretty frustrated with how they’ve been presenting and sending things with my last few orders. One of them was stuffed into a smaller box instead of using a larger square one. Another, I was expecting the holiday packaging but they sent a plain box.
Small things, but like you, I like to collect the boxes and enjoy a good unboxing experience when I’m paying a premium for face creams and other things that cost a fraction at the drug store.
I’m thinking about sending my order back and buying through a department store instead. At least that way, I can see what I’m getting before it arrives. Returns would be free too, vs Dior which makes you pay for shipping it back.
Yep, I think that you stated that perfectly. When buying premium items, I expect a premium experience. However, I will say that the Dior counter that is just over an hour from my house doesn't deliver a premium experience. It's located in a Saks Fifth Ave and they don't have gift boxes or Dior shopping bags. Plus, they are always out of samples and freebies. However, the customer service is exceptional and I think that makes up for the goodies that Dior doesn't supply their employees. Hopefully, your department store has more goodies. 😉💄
They are doing everything they can to reduce operational costs and giving us a terrible experience. I ordered 533$ to get the vanity kit and requested it to be on the gift packaging, but they sent it on the ecobox. Contacted customer service and they just apologized and said they can’t cancel or fix the order and it is an issue with Apple Pay… extremely disappointing 🙃
I have used my PayPal account a couple of times to pay when I had a balance and they did the same thing. I had entered all of the gift packaging and gift card info and received the eco-packaging after using PayPal. It's got to be some weird default in their system.
For a luxury company, they seem to put minimal investments in their website functionality
We get spoiled by their beautiful presentations and gifts. So, yes, it's a bit disappointing when it happens. I was also missing freebie items and what they did send was packaged so tightly, you couldn't get them out of the bag. No Lunar New Year box - which I was looking forward to. (My order did show the box as part of my items) Oh, well🙃 -
Great unboxing! I would love to see a video of your favorite Dior products. I have box envy, too. It doesn't matter if I place a small order or large order, I always get the standard white Dior gift box!
I get it that it's really just a box, but Dior puts such emphasis on their packaging and it gets disappointing when you constantly get the white standard boxes. 🥺
The eco-boxing comes up automatically, so if you want couture boxing you need to manually change it on the order. I have never paid with paypal so i don't kbow if that is an option when purchasing.
@theresanoble4687 this is the couture box, the eco packaging is just the outer box no ribbon no white box, they just said the red ribbon was the lunar packaging when we all wanted the red box
I too ordered to get a red box and got a white boring box too. So disappointing
Yowza! I really thought that I was ordering carefully as to not get a big white box. The shipping process makes absolutely no sense to me.

My order arrived this week and I also got the white box instead of the red box.
My lunar new year envelopes and bag did not arrive in a plastic wrap like yours did.

Sorry to hear about your hair! Ugh and so disappointing about no red box in your order. As an Asian, I hear you about wanting to partake in red envelope giving because it seems pretty cool. Some history, Lunar new year is a very very big and important 15 day long celebration in Asian culture. I would say, if you would like to give red envelope, there are a lot of rules behind it. Giving them without knowing the rules is considered disrespectful because it makes it loose it's meaning. Red envelope giving is a very old tradition and I can see some people getting offended if it's done incorrectly. Other than that, it doesn't mean you can't do it but be mindful of the meaning behind it. Red envelopes in the Asian culture are given year round, not just Lunar New Year. For example, It is given during weddings as well as during funerals and everything in between.
Oooh, thank you for the insight. I really didn't know that they were gifted year round. I truly thought it was for Lunar New Year only. I do have Asian friends but as far as I know, they don't partake in the red envelope tradition. Now, I'm going to have to ask to see if they do. I love learning about cultures other than the one that I grew up in. People and traditions are so fascinating to me.
The exact same thing keeps happening to me too when I place Dior beauty orders!!! It’s so annoying not getting the special couture box!! 📦 😢😩😭 I have spent so much money and always get the white box!! Come on Dior!! On another topic, I don’t like the New Look scent either. So excited to smell it and it was not good IMO. Thanks for sharing as always.

I ordered 4 seperate orders to get the pretty red box and none of my packages came with the red box either!!! I was soo disappointed
It's so crazy that there's no consistency in their shipping practices. I've ordered smaller items from the couture side to see what boxes they came in. Two came in butterfly boxes and two came in white boxes. 🤷🏻♀️
@@nissabuttercup3009 it's a whole mess! They should change ALL the boxes to the special box during dif season promos especially if they are gunna plaster that box all over the whole website
I didn’t get the box either and I even selected lunar new year gifts. 😕 But, I did get my red envelopes. Wahoo!

❤ loved the unboxing and I also got New Look sample and had to wash it off it was so off putting. This is a shocker as it was created by famed perfumer Francis Kurkdjian! A La Baccarat Rouge etc...
I know exactly what you mean. I tried it on my arm after the video and promptly washed it off, too.

Always when applying creams… apply thin under thick, never thick under thin or the thin will not penetrate the thick. You can also get a top coat that dries you nails really quick! ❤

You should go back to the same salon and speak to the manager, who should firstly apologise, then put it right free of charge. Hair cuts are not cheap!

I was afraid to mention it because I didn't want them cutting my hair again. The lady had already taken more than I wanted her to and I wasn't willing to part with anymore length. You are right, haircuts are definitely not cheap. On the plus side, my hair is looking healthier. 💗

I didn't like the smell of New Look. Had to get it off.
I like New Look. Sort of. I think I am liking it better over time. I won’t be buying it though.
I left it on for a couple hours and then was catching myself trying to figure out what is that smell.

Awe, thanks. Yes, I just can't get behind the new scents and often wonder why they choose Kurkdjian to continue making them. They don't even smell like perfumes that Dior has made in the past.

With you on all points... disappointing customer service, dislike the pump n volume... I personally don't like the over curl either and wish they would hive other more interesting lip minis. What do you do with the drawstring bags? I really wish they would have done some amazing dragons... so disappointing.

It's kind of boring but I usually give the mini drawstring bags away to viewers or put them on my website in cute little bundles to support the channel.
I will have a video in the near future where I repurpose one of the larger cinch bags. 😉

I’m frustrated with Dior I’m platinum level and got a note book for my birthday while others got serum worth $200 😭😭😭and I didn’t get the luna box ether xx 😢
I got the candle set for my birthday. However, I did get the Rose serum as the holiday gift. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the serum. There is just no consistency with their gifting or packaging. 🙁

Dior has been pretty disappointing lately. I got my package and half my order wasn’t there… There’s so many products that you can add to your cart but they’re out of stock and when I called Dior and told them I didn’t get my whole order they said they know and my money was being refunded… I told them the website was false advertisement because I can still add the out of stock items to my cart…. They apologized and gave me a promo code that had a half moon bag and a perfume sample…. I’m not trying to be whiney but it’s not fair to other people that think it’s still available.
I do agree with you. As incredible as Dior is for products and packaging, their customer service is a bit lacking. They could do so many things to make the experience better but unfortunately, they don't.

The only bit that I kind of liked was the hint of nutmeg, but it's not even in the list of notes. I'm not quite sure where I was picking that scent up from. I would definitely not purchase it for any amount of money. 😔
