I have used this bag for about a year now as my work/tech/documents bag, and I love it. Nothing is broken or worn down, and I use the bag every day as an offshore worker. The rain resistance is perfect enough to get me from the boat to the van or from one boat to another boat via crane. But any walking more than hour and you need a hiking bag over a techie bag. The tech compartment for the laptop has spoiled me. I hated opening multiple compartments to get access to my laptop, charger, mouse, controller, hard drive. LTT bag solved that and I wont buy another bag that doesnt have that in mind. With that said their are negatives. The bag struggles to fit my 17inch properly and because of it I am debating my next laptop to be 15" because realistically I find no one building these features for the 17" laptop user. Also there is no good solution to a document binder space. I am currently using the second slot with the skinniest binder I can find and it kinda sucks. Others may choose to use an organizer but that is for active documentation, many people are required by job (usually many federal, state, or military related job), to carry documentation they barely use until its required and its nice to have a stash place for that. However, I recognize this is a tech bag and not a work bag. Again the value is the tech compartment and accompanied space to store your organization cubes or hand held system cases. The side pocket is also really nice as well as the front pocket. Passport pocket is way too small, I just store a phone stand in it, but again, it isnt a dedicated travel bag. The LTT bag is a Tech/game bag that has other features to accommodate needs outside of tech but those other features are something of a jack of trades in comparison to its selling point of carrying tech. Side note it can carry/store a console also when traveling very well.
Good points, glad you like it! I'm not sure if this helps, but when I needed to store documents I used a clipboard with a storage compartment. It's a bit of a pain to take in and out of the bag and set up, but your papers stay pristine which was required in the context I used it in.
@isaaccaraway I never considered that. I have casually seached online organizers and could not find anything I wanted. Thanks for the comment, I will try it.
Currently using an Arc'teryx Bora 40 that I bought on April 4th, 1999. Used hiking, camping, as luggage, daily to take lunch, books, work boots etc to work and to carry groceries. Saved literally thousands of plastic bags from going to landfills. over 24 years old, used hard, and it has some fraying at the seams of the shoulder straps and that's it. Now THAT is an incredible backpack. Also it is exactly the max size of a carry on.
That thing looks awesome! I have no doubt it lasted you that long. I often wish I could get away with wearing more rugged things like that in formal situations :(
man you look around my age but you have something nice going on with this chanel, love how you phrase your words, keep with the good work and i hope that youtube and the comunity pays you back. defetately subscribing
Fair and useful review. I really wanted the bag, the price of the bag wasn’t an issue, it was the price of shipping to the UK that put me off, I import goods all the time and have never paid anywhere near what this would have cost to import on launch.
Ill be honest with the price its sold at I would expect waterproofing, cushioning in the compartments, and to have vetted the dye used on the interior fabric. Even cheapo backpacks Ive bought years ago and still use to take in my laptop to work never had that issue; thats when getting the inside soaked due to leaky water bottles and surprise rainstorms at the bus stops.
Personally this is the first bag I've spent real money on, and the cheap ones did great for me! I feel like the best strength of the LTT bag is pocket design for techy travellers
@@isaaccaraway I think I can understand your point of view. I'm biased for two reasons - 1) My family motto and one I still go by "CHEAP OR FREE!!" - something so expensive is inevitably going to get the stink eye from me when it has some of the imperfections you pointed out. 2) My main bag is a Targus Orange and Black 4 pocket bag (1 main pouch divided for laptop carrying, second nicknack pocket area, and two smaller pockets 1 on top and 1 on bottom of the main flap of the body; along with 2 water bottle mesh holders on the sides) that I bought from Staples for probably $40 - $50 way back in 2009 when I was going to college for the first time. It has held up remarkable well to all the abuse thrown at it over the years. While I do use if for carrying my stuff for work, it is all my travel bag. The cushioning in the back is very robust that I dont have to worry about long hikes around town with a laptop and being full at the same time, while not waterproof; it is water-resistant BUT the dyes have never bled. Also the plastic strap adjusters have yet to break (knock on wood). This thing just wont die.
Wait, this channel has how many subs? That's ridiculous! I thought I missed a few zeros at the end of the sub count, but no. This channel deserves at least 3 more zeros at the end!
My only regret with this bag, was that i was too late to get the Luxe version I waited til i wore out my previous bag, and now the luxe backpack has been officially discontinued with no chance of ever getting my hands on it
Question as a first time traveler. I have this bag and love it. When you went to Japan, was this the only bag you brought or did you also bring a luggage? Thanks?
That was all I brought! If you want to see what I packed and how you can check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/igmj4lh_Ucg/v-deo.htmlsi=RJTR04AjNRLsLaR0
I find the passport pocket very inconvenient for carrying my passport. I use the sunglasses pocket for that. However it is good for hiding foreign currency.
@@isaaccaraway I reached out to Sympl Studios about their sold out Weekender bag. They had one that had a minor cosmetic blemish that's barely noticeable! I bought it for a great price!! (they have great customer service btw). I just got the Herschel in and although it has great features, the design and build quality are just meh.
A 250 dollar bag designed with electronics in mind not having waterproof and a good cushion at laptop compartment is a hard pill to swallow for me :/ So good yet so flawed.
Thanks for the review ;D
Loving the kit hen set vibe haha
Haha, that's what I was going for 😄 thanks for the comment!
hi linus
NO WAY
I don't need a bag and don't intend to buy one, but this was a well scripted and executed product review.
I like how the sponsored segments are just as slightly choppy as the real ltt ones

Oh dang looked at sub count after seeing this comment, how does he only have 140 subs?!
Good video. Thanks for covering the details!

Interesting, I wonder why that is exactly
@@isaaccaraway No idea, but it comes to $360 all in... Which is just a little too much for a day bag. 🙈

Nice review of the Backpack. I own two and use it all the time.
My only regret with this bag, was that i was too late to get the Luxe version
I waited til i wore out my previous bag, and now the luxe backpack has been officially discontinued with no chance of ever getting my hands on it
Luxe was so expensive 😅 I was surprised it sold out so quickly.
Great video! Great kitchen set!
I’ve lived with the LTT bag since June, and I think it’s a great bag.
Just looking for a laptop/travel backpack, and honestly, the lack of waist strap is a dealbreaker. Really love it on my current backpack.
Yeah, I really wish they had included it! It could have been at least an optional thing that you could take off if some people didn't like it
good review buddy,
wait....is it around 2:30 or 10:00?
I'm not sure I understand, what is around 2:30?

I have been enjoying my LTT bag. I would prefer the Luxe one but double the price is a bit insane
Yeah, I think it's cool they made it, but the Luxe is a little too expensive for me as well.
is it a good backpack to last
Mine has held up very well! Good is subjective, but in my opinion it is good.
I just want to say great review. Just subscribe. I can't wait for more videos

Hm, I didn't think about doing that, I'll have to try it!
lmao, before I finish the video, ASK ME WHEN I KNEW WHAT THE OUTCOME WOULD BE. I'll give you hint, starts with "Seg" ends with "Way".
Nicely done, bro. Included the negatives.
I wonder if this guy went to Japan
nah, he actually went to Nippon
@@isaaccaraway actually, he went to Nihon instead
I bought a Herschel Kaslo Tech for 150. Idk I don't think I'd spend 250 for that LTT backpack, or any backpack lol
Love Herschel, I got a wallet from them and it has held up great!

fanboy bag.. 215 subscribers and +800 likes.. says enough
Thank you for your feedback!
It's not waterproof and soaks through (lol), that's a hard pass then. That's absolutely a negative.
Yeah, it's not great for swimming

I wouldn't say the cushion is bad, but it does scare me sometimes haha
Ikr 😮 most backpack I know that over $150 have water resistant material!!
