improvisation no173 - The Tears of the Old Traveler (Emotional Piano)

I was seeking to do an improvisation today, and I asked my friend to give me some words to base it off of. He said: "How about something like, calming, that grows into an intense yet emotional piece. Paint it like a sorrowful love story"
This was the result. The beginning is gentle, free-flowing, and stays in its own tone-world for a while. It eventually develops into something a bit more dramatic. When it finally cadences in Bb major at the end, there is a long cadenza of arpeggios played between the two hands that flow up and down the keyboard rapidly. The final chords are disguised in the style of a Classical or Romantic era piece, but the melody is actually Kakariko Village!
The VST is the CFX Concert Grand, and the title was by a comment on my improvisation no171 [name me] video. Thanks for letting me borrow this name for another improvisation instead ;)

After the dramatic bit develops, it finally cadences in Bb major, and at this time we have a coda section comprised of arpeggios played between the two hands that flow up and down the keyboard rapidly with harmony reminiscent of the opening. The final chordal statement of the piece is disguised in the style of a Classical or Romantic era piece, but the melody is in fact Kakariko Village!
This was not intentional, but I thought I would point it out lol :)

After so many years of playing in bands and being exposed to tons of music my mind has never been able to just sit and enjoy a piece, it has gotten to the point where I couldn't even sit or lie down without being pecked at and annoyed by my mind. After countless sleepless nights, I recently found your channel. And for the first time in a while, I was able to have clarity and peace of mind, and even joy. Your music has inspired me and blew me away like when I first joined band in middle school. Even with how much words I used cannot express the gratitude I feel. Thank you Kyle, for everything.
That was sensational and emotional! The audio was immaculate, and the lighting you used. That bright light mixed with the purple light. This was the best looking video and atmosphere you've done to this day (looks wise). This was 5 million times better to look at than those videos with your new baby grand. :)
Jeff Ryan thank you so much! Only thing though, forgot to turn auto focus off and this lens is too zoomed in for this small room, causing a strange angle that cuts out my left hand. I need a new lens ASAP! (Also it’s a semi-concert grand)
My, Kyle another incredible piece. It's hard to believe that this is 'improvised'. I'd love to be able to come with a piece like this on the spot but that's just light years away from what I'm capable of.

Not sure you’ll ever read this but you should consider covering some music from Celeste. Lena Raine made use of some interesting moving bass and catchy melodic lines. I’d recommend resurrections or first steps. Seems like you could go full Kyle on those pieces. Great stuff as always!
