Brazilian fan here! I love that you included some of Brazil's famous creatures (Saci, Curupira, Mapinguari, the Headless Mule and the Boto Encantado), made me very happy! Some things you forgot to mention: one very common way to imprison a Saci is to trap it in a corked bottle. The Headless Mule became a creature because she was a woman who fell in love with a priest. And Boto Encantado is a good name, but it's mostly known as Boto Cor de Rosa (literally Pink Colored Dolphin).
About the Saci: Some myths say he was a guy who was in love with another brazilian mythological creature called the Iara (which is basically a mermaid) and due to stuff I will not elaborate, he cut one of his legs for her, which did nothing in his favor, and he came an trickster cause of that. Also, not mentioned in the video, he rides wind vortexes (sorry if it's not the right english word, but minor whirlwinds) and if you use a large sieve, you can capture him with it, and seal him inside a bottle (that conveniently you cannot see him inside it, cause he becomes invisible).
About the "Boto Encantado" that in Brazil, at least where I live, is just called "Boto Cor-de-Rosa" or "Pink Boto". I don't have anything to add about them.
Last addedum, but I recommend you check the Boitatá, which is another brazilian creature hellbent on protecting nature, it's basically a fire snake that doesn't burn the forest somehow.
I remember someone did a mini graphic novel of a Kelpie. Tow boys seeing a beautiful horse by the beach, the boys go to stroke it only for their hands to get stuck as the horses flesh rots and the Kelpie shows its true form. The creature then proceeds to gallop into the sea, but one of the boys escapes by cutting his own hand off with a pocket knife. The story ends year later with the boy, now a grown man, looking on at that very beach, still mourning the loss of his friend.
In the future id love some videos about Aboriginal Australian Mythology. Im not personally a believer but as an australian i grew up surrounded by it and it has some good stories to tell, like the goddess who walks the sky looking for her lost son, her and her torch being the sun in the sky
it is so awesome how much you have learn to me about Mythical Creatures I'm very Grateful could you at some point talk about myling they er ghost from Scandinavian Folke believe there are supposed to be spirits abandoned baby It's very scary but also cool
One of the main reasons I got into Greek mythology was a book series called myth-o-mania it’s a pretty entertaining series that takes a fun spin on Greek mythology will keep it mostly accurate
Brother can you make video on multiverse , timelines spiritual realm etc mentioned in Hinduism . kakabhushund story, Krishna and bhrama multiverse story etc
Belsnickel is Dwight. Bannick sounds like guys who used 2 be a guys larping as Alpha (aka have 2 keep telling ppl how "alpha" he is) that turned 360, pretend 2 be pro-women, while supporting a lot anti-women things, even supporting groups (that love abusing women (and children) that love unaliving ppl (especially kids). Well i wouldn't have much problem fighting Mapinguari than, as i never been able 2 smell things. Mahaha looks a lot like Evil Ernie. Curupira would hate the organization called peta.
Try to avoid Biblical references as "myth". And I get it...the Bible contains some pretty interesting events, animals, people, and demons, etc. Still...not a myth. 😉
I’m sorry but it gets no special treatment. Hinduism is a practiced religion and none of you guys say it’s disrespectful to call it a myth. The Bible is full of myths, I’m sorry but giants aren’t real we can debate the existence of God all day but giants factually do not exist, nor do dragons or talking animals Plus Mythology Guy is a Christian so it’s not like a non believer is disrespecting your faith
@Leomyd That's why i put it as a request. Free speech is still a thing...and i enjoy his enthusiasm about various topics. But, it's not a creature or a myth. 😊
Japan has really contributed to this series. Any favorites or suggestions for future crazy creature vids?
Maybe the Rainbow Serpent which is basically god in Australian Folklore and it is said in some stories that it creates rivers just by moving.
Mythical
@@Ra1d3n-np9lr That sounds very interesting
You got all the top myths from Brazil, but left out the Boitatá? A fire serpent that eats the eyes of flood victims and use them to glow.
Any random hindu one
Hey man love your videos, would love to see you talk about more Creatures from Australian Folklore such as the Bunyip or the Rainbow Serpent.

This should give a pretty good idea how insane Japan's mythical creatures were if 15 out of 50 creatures in this video originated in Japan.
