When I saw Little Nellie in James Bond back in the 70s when I was just a kid, I wanted one of those for Christmas, but I never got one. I thought that was about the coolest thing ever, that and the jet backpack that Steve Austin used in the Six Million Dollar Man. Well, Ilm still kicking so there's still a chance I'll get my own gyrocopter if I can talk my wife into it.

i was born in 1964 and as a young boy i remember reading all about the GyroCopter in my Dads magazines ! i still have a intrest in building one as one article stressed. on the overall safety of. the Machine and concept that very much made me a beleiver

I met Commander Ken Wallis at Weston Park in Shropshire in the UK. The Earl of Bradford's county home. This was in the late 1980's or early 1990's at a small air show. He flew 'Little Nellie' weaving in and around the oak trees in the park. I am sure it would not be allowed now in these days of health and safety. The sort of thing he did in this clip. If my memory serves me right he towed the Gyrocopter on a trailer, pulled by his Rolls Royce. Ken was certainly one of Great Britain's wonderful eccentrics, putting 'Great' in Great Britain and one of our RAF heroes.
