Great video. I am in the process of building my own custom pontoon. The livewell situation has been driving me crazy. You solved all my problems. Thank you very much
I watched it all , great video brother very well expand. That's a great DIY livewell . I may never make one but I love to see how ppl make they're stuff and what materials they use . I do allot of DIYs and im a bit of a perfectionist , so I mean this with all honesty that's the best DIY livewell ive seen on UA-cam you got my vote Sir
Watched it all. It definitely got me thinking out of the box. I don't have a welder, but there are no shortages of welders in my area, so that shouldn't be a problem whatsoever if I decide to make something similar to this. Thanks for making such a detailed video.
@@catfishkarma1 The thing I like the most is just how pro grade/oem it looks for what your costs were. My cost may be higher for finding a local welder, but still crazy doable and affordable. I do have one question. What size rivets did you use?
I watched it all ... finally. Switched away at the welding part last time I started the video but then found your video on tying sabiki rigs and subscribed. Also found TinyBoatNation from this video and planning the rebuild of my 40 year old jon boat. Adding a livewell to that rebuild brought me back to this video. Thanks for your great work.
Watched it all! Just found your channel and I am liking what I see! I am in the beginning stages of planning a fishing pontoon build of my own for my sons and grandsons and this information is so very helpful! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Watched it all. Had this same idea but was unsure about what material to use. I'll have to check out this aluminum composite board. Thanks for the video.
I don't know if you can get it where you live but at my local hardware store, I can buy that 25mmx25mm aluminium tubing and a bunch of plastic connectors that allow you to build all kinds of shapes. You just pop rivet it all together, no welding needed!
Cool thanks for the video, came up with a plan to build something similar under my deck. I'll be building using the casting deck frame as a base and using rivets
Watched it all... Great video Quinton!!! I'm gonna use your idea for my revamped tournament tank as well as a new dry box for the boat. Perhaps I'll have it on board at Fishing for Freedom this year. Cheers!
You mentioned about the perforated liner of the bait box, but didn't really talk about how you did it or what you used. Will you be making anymore videos on these tanks?
I’m from the Memphis area and didn’t know if you would be willing to share what metal supply shop you got these materials from. I’m seriously looking in to building one of these!! Excellent video!!!!
I like your build . Can you stand on the box? I was thinking of putting the box across the back of my boat , and if I get a 40 lb cat I’d prob, need to stand on the box to lift him out of the water.
Excellent video! What kind of welder do you have I have been doing research for months for a good one there was one called a HYL ARC160A Stick Welder but its hard to find
Hey all I'm looking to make this for my 15' 6" gheenoe, Any suggestions for pumps and such for the plumbing side of this? im planning on leaving it in the boat so it doesnt need to be mobile. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
@@catfishkarma1 right I'm just figuring out price on what all the materials will be for my application and knowing the size of yours helps thanks for the reply keep up the great work and fish on. p.s. when's the next bumping video coming lol
I know you welded the aluminum pieces, but how well do you think that these connectors would work? www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J4P1ZAQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?smid=A1H481IPHNMK5K&psc=1
Exactly. That’s why an insulated fiberglass live well makes so much sense. Although his aerator is an airyater and at his latitude the sun’s heat not UV rays give you a sunburn, and silicone is a “quality” product; therefore it defies logic.
@@catfishkarma1 with rounded corners bigger fish can turn around much easier to turn around. As i seen in my 40 gallon livewell that I had custom built but that's just me. But you did do a great video buddy.
Mid-South Outdoor Life but it was expensive to have it custom built out of aluminum and to have it shipped but it works perfectly. Not only I use it for a livewell I use it a a bait tank it works great for shad to that’s why I wanted rounded corners to so shad wouldn’t get red nose.

great set up.. I'm convinced. I'm kind of crippled up, but I think I can do this.thanks for the help.
Nice setups great ideas watched it all
Well starting to locate the materials to start this build. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours
4x8 sheet of Alumiboard $100 (sound close?)
Got some 11 ga instead of 16 ga square tubing just because it was cheaper
Cool thanks for the video, came up with a plan to build something similar under my deck. I'll be building using the casting deck frame as a base and using rivets
Great video. Watched it all!!!
Watched it all!! Very good video, DIY is always a good video.
Ive watched this video twice just getting ideas and I couldnt remember your exact methods you used!
Watched it all forgot to mention how you did the rounded corners in the bait tank . Thanks for the info definitely got me thinking outside the box
I could be wrong, but it looks like some type of gutter guard in corners.
Watched it all, thanks for the ideas
Watched it all, very informative.
I need to buy a boat so I can build this tank. Really your build is very well designed.
Watched it all. Now I am going to have to build one similar, and get rid of my big blue barrel.
Watch it all! Thanks for sharing such out of the box thinking. Keep them coming
I think this is a great video...well done

Thanks for the video. thumbs up for the build and for mentioning Tiny Boat Nation. A fan also.

Watched it all!!! Great idea, I have one question.... What size holes do you recommend for the spray bar?
Start small work up.
Watched it all! I can't find the building Lucille series...... love all of the shows. :)

I sure will thanks for everything!!!
probably some good ideas in hear for a rod locker too.
Watched it all! Do you worry about the boxes shifting around under power?
Great video!!! After watching, I’ve changed my mind to build this style live well. Do you have a step by step on either of your wells?
Watched it all... Thank you!
I like your build . Can you stand on the box? I was thinking of putting the box across the back of my boat , and if I get a 40 lb cat I’d prob, need to stand on the box to lift him out of the water.
Absolutely standing on it is no problem at all.
I watched the whole video. What kind of pump did you use in your big tank.
Watched it all.
Would brazing the aluminum give enough strength?
In any case -- cool video
Watched it all!
You can use a map torch and rods as well and weld yourself
Excellent video! What kind of welder do you have I have been doing research for months for a good one there was one called a HYL ARC160A Stick Welder but its hard to find
I I have a question, did you weld the frame together or did you take the frame itself to get welded?
Watched it all. Been waiting on this video
Awesome live well!!
Mid-South Outdoor Life, No, our SeaArk boat has a bait live well and a 60 gallon for the big boys!!
What did You use to round the corners on the inside like you did with the smaller one
Watch it all
Hope you get the UA-cam audience interaction brownies point 💪
What was the aluminum angle used for? I did a screenshot and still don't know why you used it.
Watched it all, great vid
hey did u just rtv the bottom in
I watched is all. Where do you live if I may ask. This was totally inspiring
Hey I was just wondering how u have Lucille built and where'd you get the material from

Good Video
Where can I get a frame built
Hey bud what would it take for you to build me a tourney livewell?
It would be obscenely expensive because I've been so covered up with my day job.
What makes it water tight
watched it all
WATCHED IT ALL.
What is the actual name of the panel board?
THANKS
I know you welded the aluminum pieces, but how well do you think that these connectors would work?

How much to make me a small-mid sized on, and ship it to Baltimore Maryland. No specific spots, just a estimate
Why would that NOT get hot as hell? It is so thin..
Exactly. That’s why an insulated fiberglass live well makes so much sense. Although his aerator is an airyater and at his latitude the sun’s heat not UV rays give you a sunburn, and silicone is a “quality” product; therefore it defies logic.

You should have put rounded corners on them

good video but NO WAY in OHIO your building a box that big at that price just the Aluminum would cost $200.00 but still a good video
Most DIY videos are ACTUALLY DIY. not showing something you've already done. 🤦🏽♂️
Are you intrested in makeing one for me ? Kick you 50$ for the labor :)
All talk, no actual "how to build this livewell" info...
Your audio sucks...
