    I have this video saved on my playlist. For the years that I was in, I would listen to this during my time in the service (2015-2019). Throughout the days for when I was low on moral and in spirit, listening to this gave me the boost I needed to push on through the hardships. To this day, I still listen to this video because it holds a reminder of the feats that I endured and overcame. Semper Fi Marines

    Love us or hate us, we don't care. We became world police out of necessity because other nations did not have the economic and military capabilities, or were either cowards or on the side of the tyrants. We are grateful for our allies and brothers who helped and supported us where they could and fought by us for the cause of freedom. We do it because somebody has to and we see our task as an honorable one.

    • @foghornfoggyface
      @foghornfoggyface 9 років тому +10

      "World police" hahaha you keep telling yourself that. Your soldiers are nothing but state sponsored terrorists but your government is very careful to present it in a noble and honourable fashion. You gotta love how Americans eat all this patriotic shit up.

    • @NWA744
      @NWA744 9 років тому +13

      Kevin State sponsored terrorists? In what way? I bet if your country was doing the same thing, you wouldn't have anything to say about it, but since its big bad America, its automatically evil.

    • @foghornfoggyface
      @foghornfoggyface 9 років тому +5

      Unprovoked violence is reprehensible in every scenario, no matter who the perpetrator. Just because your big US government and media give the green light to this violence does not mean what your country is doing is not terrorism. Most sensible people whose vision is not clouded by patriot goggles see it for what it is and yet you choose to remain ignorant.
      Of course it's easier for you to just label me as an "America hater" rather than accept the harsh reality. For the record, I actually like Americans in general, have been there many times and they are quite friendly but their indifference to their government's actions is shameful to say the least.

    Can I quote a famous monument in Washington DC, "Uncommon valor is a common virtue". They retire, enlistments end in the service to our beloved country. The uniform comes off, they never lower their right hand in the pledge made. To the Marine heroes who never came home, or came back in pieces they are "always faithful", they are a Marine for life. This creed, brotherhood extends from the very conception of our nation to the very present, and, will travel into the future. As a veteran who has served proudly as Naval Hospital Corpsman with the 1st & 3rd Marine Divisions, I haven't earn the right to tell a Marine "Semper Fidelis", I can say "Semper Fortis". That respect earned by example, goes to the Commandant all the way down to the 0311 grunt. I'm a better person for my service and exposure to Marine Corps values, and, would be happy to put that uniform back on without the slightest of hesitation.

    USMC ads that link past to present are always the best. There is no generation gap in the USMC. Young Marines never stand taller than when some hobbled veteran from Pelileiu, Chosin or Hue is on deck watching. It is more important to "Look Sharp" to that veteran Marine than to any "VIP of the Day", such as President, Senator, etc. The respect and honor for the examples and standards set in blood by those "Old Corps" Marines is the bond that erases "generation gaps".

      This is 6 years late but yes.
      It’s is former Marine Nick Popaditch speaking at a Memorial Day event in San Diego many years back.
      He has or had a UA-cam page and I believe his speech is on it.
      He ran for Congress or Senate, forgot which but didn’t make it.

      Hem of the Sky Marcus luttrell once said that if you released the chains off of the marines they could take over Iraq. The marine corps are the war dogs of the military. Without a doubt.

    • @joemaloney1019
      @joemaloney1019 6 років тому

      @Hem of the Sky l have the honor to know a couple of Marines, and know that they dont stop being Marines when they return to civilian life. Being a Marine is being held to a higher standard one of dedication and sacrifice. They make it a point to study the US Constitution to understand exactly what they fought and sacrificed for. If you got a problem its with the politicians and the ruling class not those whose motto is " Always faithful".

    • @joemaloney1019
      @joemaloney1019 6 років тому +1

      @Hem of the Sky Why? Do you get a special victim certificate if your country is in a war under sufficiantly any threat of ultimate destruction? Do you need equivelency when you are retaliating when some ahole kills 3000 of your citizens in your country? Maybe we should give them some nukes, what could go wrong? Do you think there is some authority we should run to present a case for redress? I will tell you there is not.
