This must end! We MUST make schools safe places again. I never had these fears as a child. No child should be it feel unsafe at school. The schools and classroom sizes should be snaller. The teachers must have time and the authority to teach their subjects without FCATs or other testing to cran for daily. They must have free times to teach. It's ridiculous. And bring supervised recess back(in the South). Kids need breaks during the day or they bottle it up and fight and argue for a good hour or two after school. School should be enjoyable again and learning fun. Not a miserable, stressful place. For some kids, school is an escape from a negative home life. Don't leave them with double negatives

I graduated in 1991 from a country school here in Ohio. Country boys had rifles in pickup trucks on school grounds and nothing was ever said. Never in a million years would it have been a thought to take the rifle inside the school to do harm. Never. Not one incident. Todays kids...I truly feel for them in so many ways. these shootings, ideologies such as drag queen story time etc etc. Can't we just leave the kids alone to be children. So many pressures on them.

Police stormed into the school and shot the shooter. That’s the way all officers should do. Their quick actions saved many many lives.
