Ive been practicing steep turns around a point using a water tower that I use to find our little airport. This video reminds me to get out there and practice more. Thanks.
Thanks, Austin, really glad you liked it! That's actual Garmin data piped directly into an animating program and run with some custom scripts. Nothing like getting a solid technical review from THE X-Plane guy. We love that sim over here! Take care, fly safely!
Austin Meyer gotta get one of these G6 babies modeled in the sim, Austin. Or better yet convince the Garmin folks to open up the API a tiny bit so we can use the Garmin PC trainer for the G6 alongside xplane. I’m sure if anyone can convince cirrus and Garmin it’s you! I say this having practiced hundreds of approaches using the vFlyte cirrus, which is a Frankenstein that’s a bit outdated these days!
Great Video! ... This is perfect maneuver to practice during these Covid times when there is not many destinations to actually go to... BTW, love the 360 video editing!!
Cirrus should be one of the best aircraft manufacturers! Why? Because they combine the new with the traditional technology. You may have some crazy, advanced technology on the engine, but the controls are physical, you may have glass cockpit, but you also get steam gauges. I am more of a traditional person, i.e. I prefer aircraft where I have to do everything on my own and fly with steam gauges, but I acknowledge that a cirrus plane would have the same flight fundamental characteristics of a traditional aircraft while the pilot is kept more busy flying the plane that caring about the engine... Thank you Cirrus!
@@heycameraman4411 Good question, we actually pull Garmin avionics data directly from the Perspective+ system and then input that data into a custom script in one of our animation programs. It's a fun touch for video training.
@Cirrus Aircraft Where is the vision center? I’m sort of curious if it is in Florida for some reason. Or in like Tennessee. Edit: thanks for letting me know. I love this channel.
Is the new protocol for steep turns to press in the disconnect as opposed to turning off ESP? This is a bit of an annoyance because you now have lost the ability to trim effectively when your thumb is arrested to a/p disconnect.
Best private aircrafts in the world! But sad that nobody in America cares about tis company and Chinese messing again and owning a business.... what a sad story...
Don’t always have 15-20 minutes to do some learning so I love these succinct, clear and very informative videos. Nice job on the steep turns too!!
I really like these short tutorial videos, and nice use of the windshield mounted 360° cam. Great stuff, keep them coming.
Thanks, Stefan, we like your videos too!
Well done, love your way of teaching us rusty guys to us get back up in the air.
Thank you, great teaching style, we really appreciate your videos, keep them coming.
Awesome video and great steep turns! Good job on the video and audio production! Very clear, precise, and educational.
Very glad you enjoyed it, thanks Roger!
@@CirrusAircraft I agree! That clean audio is probably more important than the video quality (although good video is nice too).
I went on a flight yesterday with Ken and he took me through that 45 degree turn. The control was amazing! I'm in love with this plane!
You do such a great job with these. Thanks for posting,
Thanks, Jonathan, and you're welcome!
Very cool! We're definitely going to share this on our club's Facebook page. Thanks for the energy and encouragement.
You got it!
Thank you so much for sharing. Can't wait to get back in the air. Love the content and the video editing :)
Great content, video, and steep turns. Fun to watch!

Great video, now I just need the plane to go with it ;) Wish I could work for Cirrus and do this all day!
NICE! Lover the energy! HOW ON EARTH HOW did you get that awesome HUD up there in the video????

@@CirrusAircraft OK ping me at austin@X-Plane.com if you need any X-Plane tweaks!

Thanks for the steep turn video - I Posted it on the Florida Aviation Network. Flying is coming back to life in Florida.
That's what we like to hear!
Great steep turn video. Did you use elevator trim to ease the back pressure?
That Green is Gorgeous!!

Nice sir. Enjoyed and will get out and practice soon.
Sounds great. Remember, if you need to ease into it, reach out to your local CSIP and knock the rust off. Fly safely!
Great Job! Nice Camera work!
Very nice, thanks for sharing
It would be nice to see the slip/skid ball. Did you have the yaw damper on?
Would trimming out the plane in the turn helped with keeping your altitude consistent?
Very nice video. How do you get the instrument readings to display in the video ? I would love to have that in my videos.
Plus one here. Anyone know how that works?

@@CirrusAircraft Nice work, would have been great to see those trend indicators too...... or did I miss it. Love the videos.
Good concise video. How tall are you? Looks like you might have been having some headroom issues?

We're in Knoxville, TN, right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
Looks like my home state Tennessee
Great.. ready to go.. just short one cirrus!
How are you capturing the audio? Directly into the go pro max? Or some other way?

Interesting you needed more power in the right turn than the left. Was that intentional or just how it happened?
Can you detail the various cameras used for this video?
Any chance to show us how you setup the 360 camera in the plane?
Are you using any trim in this maneuver?
You need an flights path marker
What 360 can are you using? Is this a Rylo?
GoPro Max!
Steep turns ... a maneuver not used in 99.9% of my flights, unless I'm showing someone a steep turn!
Now, inverted spins are another story ...
1:06 CAPS available,,, cover still on lol

The US may be electing BIden. Can you spell the Chinese owning ALL of America soon?
