That’s awesome! Was it hard getting through all those layers? My new machine is great at going through thick layers and so was my Singer Quantum, but my older singer didn’t do so well with lots of layers.

I've been watching many videos on how to make the snuggle bags for my daughter's guinea pig. It is very easy ,,I only wish to mention that your measurements is viewable for 1 second..I had to rewatch it numerous times to see it

Thank you so much for the feed back! Some of these videos need to re-done. I’ve learned a lot about filming through the years and some of videos could definitely use some updates. I also have the measurements listed in the description of this video. Unfortunately, UA-cam only allows minimal edits to a video once it goes live.

@@FerretTails hello I love your video. I would have started one tonight. I need to get more fleece ..your instructions were easy to follow untill I tried to find the measurements.. they flashed on just for a second.i certainly don't mean to be critical ..Only frustrating to keep going back to just trying to write it down ..I'll be making them soon

@@jonesanimallover I didn’t take it as critical! I taught myself how to sew reading books and watching tutorials. I try really hard to make my videos as easy to follow as possible and I really truly appreciate any feedback that I get. It was really frustrating for me when I was watching tutorials and the person would go really fast or not show everything they were doing. So I definitely understand the frustration.
My main goal in doing the tutorials is to make it easier for people to follow. I use all the feedback I get to try to make my videos better and I honestly don’t take it personally at all, I’m really grateful for it.

This is great for me cause I just got 2 babies and they don’t have a hammock yet (I had one but she died) so her hammock is too small and I wouldn’t want to use it either way cause it’s special... so this is good for them... thanks for this!

What type and brand name is the machine you are using? I’m borrowing a friend’s old Janome 2206 and it can’t get through the thick layers. I need to purchase my own machine to do this (and embroidery). Any suggestions? Thank you so much.

I think in the video I was using my Bernia, 475QE. It’s a great machine, it expensive, but it goes through the layers, it embroiderer’s and it has lettering so you can add names, and make tags ect. It was a bit expensive, but I really love it. However, I currently use the Juki 8700 to make almost everything I sell on Etsy because it’s so much faster and it’s just an amazing machine. It’s an industrial machine and the price isn’t to bad for being industrial. The only thing is, it only does straight stitching. I do use my Bernina to add cute top stitching to all my cuddle cups, sleep sacks, cage covers and tunnels. I also paid to have the cp180 added to my juki. It is an addition that gives you the option to back tack and it automatically cuts the thread, which for me was totally worth it.
Prior to the Bernina I used the singer quantum stylist 9960. I absolutely love that machine, but the timing was off after years of use and it’s been difficult finding someone to fix it. Apparently fixing the electronic machines is not nearly as simple as fixing the mechanical ones, which makes since. I also think they may have stopped making the Quantum stylist 9960. Although I do have a singer heavy duty machine, which is pretty good. It can definitely go over the layers. I stopped using it because I ended up getting the Juki. I needed a machine that would let me sew 8 or more hours a day without any issues. My other machines could not keep up with the amount of sewing I do for Etsy, but for personal use, the Bernia or either singer would work. I would also talk to a local sewing machine shop, they were really great at helping me pick a machine that would work for what I needed.
I’m sorry if that was a really long response, but if you have any other questions, please let me know!
