Wow you got really hammered by that last storm. I hope you get a fast warm up and melt all that snow. I'm not looking forward to all the mud this year in northeast Wisconsin.
Nice video. I went up to my place in it LOL Wisconsin a couple weeks ago to shovel the roof off the house, since it's a fairly flat roof and we've had three significant new snowfalls since then.
Yeah, and when you’re by yourself, come out in the middle of nowhere, sometimes, and the plow rolls up on top the pile and drops down the other side pulling your front wheels off the ground. Then you’re SOL unless you got a good shovel and the wind in your lungs to dig yourself out. Believe me I remember the Halloween snow storm plowing for four days in a row that first night was hell, wet, heavy snow, and I was stuck a dozen times or more, but I didn’t give up because I knew it would turn cold quickly and then I wouldn’t be able to move anything. Which was exactly right only days later the temperature dropped and everything turned to ice even the highways turn to cobblestone for weeks. By the way, I love it up there in the UP my ex-wife is from there, iron River 👍 Michigan
North central Wisconsin got ALOT of rain the night of the 31st. Woke up to nearly a foot of snow the morning of the 1st. The road in front of our house had 4” of flowing water across it. Still dealing with it.
That was a frustrating snowstorm for sure. Like a seductive temptest, spring has been elusive! Our long driveway is more like a goat trail. No more places to put the snow.
I live in Vermont....The last few winters have been on the warmer side,Mud and unfrozen ground,Last week got 28 inches,,Plowing mud and snow is no fun..Enjoy your videos,Spring will come someday.
One of my best snowmobile trips to the UP was in April; we were the last vehicle across the bridge before it shut down. We stayed in the Shingleton area and the riding was amazing…it was almost like we had that area of the UP to ourselves. Have had two great trips on St. Patty’s Day weekend too.
We were suppose to go up to the cabin this weekend and do some bluegill fishing over by singleton and seen the blizzard warning so we canceled at the last minute and this morning I talked to the neighbors up there and we ended up with 16 inches so maybe next weekend will work better. Be safe out there people.
I feel your pain last year we had so much snow the whole town was buried what made it so bad was there was so much snow there was no place to put it was piled up on the sides of driveways then it froze. Now we had mountains of block ice piles county road plows were breaking down it was a fricking mess.
Get a kinetic rope and a couple of soft shackles. When you see what can happen if a chain breaks, you'll thank me. And please keep the snow over there. I have seen snow as late as Mother' Day here in Upstate NY. I am sooooo ready to put up the snow blower.
dang you did get hammered. thats a lot of snow, not good for the deer this time of year to be getting that much. i still have hope that i can make it to camp the end of the mth
Dave, do you promise that spring is coming? Right now I have my doubts. We got about 18 inches of heavy wet snow from this last storm. And as I'm typing this it is snowing again.
No I never really have done that. But I have fishing log books that show in the past I have been open water fishing inland lakes the first week of April. Those same lakes have 24 inches of ice on them right now.
Love your videos hate the snow I live in northern Michigan and I'm tired of the snow for this year ask Ronnie how much he wants for that ugly Rapala with no treble hooks🤣
Do you mean the custom colored Fire Puke Orange F-11? Ronnie painted that one himself. I got my eye on that one too! I think he's getting a buck a piece for all the cranks shown.
A tractor with a blower sure woulda been fun to watch clear all that snow.
I could have used one!
Ya dave, have Ronnie hold a fund raiser via crawler sales and get a big kabota with blower.
That's one hell of a April Fool's day joke from Mother Nature, lol. Be safe, God Bless y'all. John V. Marion Springs, Mi.
Yes it was, thanks for watching!

Yes, my driveway gets pretty bad some years too.

Good thing you got to it recently. Thanks for watching.

Yes, you have to be careful out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for watching.

Yikes!
Great channel. I’m from the e.u.p. Now Grand Rapids area
Welcome aboard!

Good melt down today, maybe it's over.

Yes, that is the formula for a torn up driveway. But spring is around the corner.....isn't it?
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I believe it is..Forecast 75 next week..Tom's strutting in the fields.Spring is here.

Good call! This coming weekend looks much better for fishing.
That's some crazy deep wet snow! Geez
Yes, it was a surprise.

You are 100% right, every time I use that chain I tell myself the same thing. I'm listening to us both and looking at some online right now. Thanks.
Keep it up there Dave, us trolls down here in the middle of the mitten are looking at bare ground.
Bare ground!? What is that?
dang you did get hammered. thats a lot of snow, not good for the deer this time of year to be getting that much. i still have hope that i can make it to camp the end of the mth
Well, you should be OK by then.............I hope!
Great video
Thanks a lot.
Good one!
thanks
Think spring 🌼
I have been for 2 months, LOL!
Dave, do you promise that spring is coming? Right now I have my doubts. We got about 18 inches of heavy wet snow from this last storm. And as I'm typing this it is snowing again.
Well it's warming and melting as I'm typing, so there is hope!
After reading all the comments. I'm wondering if you keep a log of your 1st snow, last snow, snow totals over the years.
No I never really have done that. But I have fishing log books that show in the past I have been open water fishing inland lakes the first week of April. Those same lakes have 24 inches of ice on them right now.
It was a butt kicker for sure. Took 7 hours to clean this one up in Negaunee.
You ready for spring yet? Some years I'm trolling for rainbows on inland lakes the first week of April.
The three deer was cool.
They suprized me.

@Knetters Practical Outdoors tell Ronnie IL give him $1.50 for his troubles ( his Camaro needs a little TL) I will help him spruce it up a bit 😜
does ronnie have a website to buy lures?
Ronnie isn't too high tech, but maybe someday.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors Ronnie sounds like my kinda guy
Just curious what part of the UP are you in
