been looking for something like this been a vet we get 12 to 20 cats we have to put down every month fitting the electronics from these revives your cats to full working order again if you wish and if you cant afford your real cat anymore this wonderful invention it will be the solution to your problem cat you cannot afford anymore , and fitting them to your real live cats saves on food and litter trays too
Good video but damn. That thing creeps me out with it's glowing eyes.. And I love Furbys! Did we really need AI for THAT? It's not any more interesting than those Furreal Friends cats that have been around for years.. And those don't give me nightmares. 😅
Cute! They should add blinking/half shut eyes for when you stroke them, like real cats do. It's their way of smiling.
I seem to remember we had a similar robot cat when I was a child. A white one. I might still have it somewhere, I don't know the manufacturer though.
That's an interesting idea, I think there have been lots of robot cats and dogs similar to this over the years. I have a Sony Aibo that is now 24 years old. It still moves more realistically than some modern pet robots.
I wish Jess could also walk.Great presentation.

Thank you, it would be nice if Jess could walk. They do make a cat that walks called Marscat, but it's super expensive.

Should programme it to respond to name Jess and then use that for commands. Metacat everytime is tiring. Some people cant pronounce some letters. Interesting but i had one for my mum 15 years ago and not much has changed. Be nice if it moved. Good review though.
That would be good, I don't think you can but it would be great to be able to teach a name as the wake word instead of MetaCat every time.
They do make a cat that walks called Marscat but it looks very different to Jess.
Uuuh don't take the criticism bad, I believe this can be actually beneficial or fun in some situations, but I don't know the idea that I'm giving affection to a non-living being rather than the real deal makes me uneasy D: is it just me? Cute though.
I think they are aimed more at people who can't necessarily have "real"pets." We have a dog but I'm actually allergic to cat hair so we couldn't have a cat. There are also people who aren't allowed pets where they live.
They would be perfect for elderly relatives who maybe couldn't have a real pet. No need to remember to feed them, no expensive Vet trips. I understand your point but I think there are some scenarios where these types of pets can be useful.

Yes that is a perfect example of someone who would appreciate this sort of pet/companion.

These do not walk around, they do make another cat called Marscat that can walk around.
Is it loud?
The volume is adjustable but it's not particularly loud

Don’t go that direction it’s one of the reasons why you don’t suck like some channels with annoying music
MetaCat was sent to me by Elephant Robotics to try out and make some videos with. When you make video's for a promotion a company they expect them to be edited and a bit more polished than my usual videos are.
My favourite videos to make are still the unedited videos where you just record the robots doing what they do. Occasionally I do have to make some slightly more polished/ professional video's. (If you can call any of my videos professional🤣)
