I know that the son took over Dean after his father died and was upset that several artists were leaving. In particular, Dave Mustaine, so he called it Vengeance because of that. The mother has since taken back control. Anyways since it was a weird time, I don't know what the quality would be. I don't plan on laying down 1k or on one. However, I may be intrigued into getting one in the future. We will see. Thanks for the comment. Take care.
Thanks. Just because I am an old metal head doesn't mean I can't see what Mustaine did for metal guitar. I can't let younger dudes, even if they are gifted guitarists, get away with crapping on a legend. He did put down Metallica. And the first 4 albums were amazing. But I can't listen to their new stuff. It just sounds like they are rehashing. Megadeth is still interesting after all these years. Take care brother
@@Larryjo194 he is a legend. His playing influenced metal music drastically. He puts more great riffs and effort in each song than some bands put in entire albums. That said, I still enjoyed Metallica's albums too. I really enjoy music in general. Though they are more mainstream than metal.
@HoldMeForever I totally agree. There is great music out there. Dream Theater is my second favorite band. But I also love old Police and Sting songs as well as The Eagles and Don Henley. Thanks for the comment. Take care, brother.
Cool video man, this guitar looks amazing! I’m considering buying one but wanted to ask, how’s the tuning stability? Curious to know if you’ve had any tuning issues since it doesn’t have any locking tuners.
@saundiesSixSixSix For this guitar I had to pay an import fee of just over 100 bucks. But not for the other V. This V was 998. The other one was 800. Maybe they put a fee on it if it is over a certain amount. I'm just letting you know. Good luck, brother.
@@Larryjo194 thanx for letting me know bro! Living in Australia, I’ve unfortunately had to become accustom to the customs/duty tax involved with importing guitars….. they’re bloody pirates! 🤣😂
@saundiesSixSixSix Australia sounds cool. But always paying more just to get equipment shipped there isn't. Thanks for the comment. Take care, brother.
I put EMG's in it, and I still love it. I sold the other red one in this video because it was essentially they were same guitar. But yeah, I still have it. I want one of the Solar X guitars, but I can't afford it now. Thanks for the comment. Take care.
any update after months ? 1st time I come to know about Sungkai wood Just wish they change those duncan pups, i'm planning on a 7 strings V of this blood theme
Here is my updated video. ua-cam.com/video/dyWTvMSV3VQ/v-deo.html. It has the Solar guitars in it. I agree, and I dislike the Solar Duncan design pickups. The Emgs were bigger than the Seymour Duncan pickups, and I had to use my Dremel to grind out part of the pickup cavity out. But they eventually fit. And I love this guitar. I did a detailed video of the Black Solar E2.7, check it out in my videos. Thanks for the comment. Take care, brother.
@@Larryjo194 thanks for the detailed rep mate with updated vid. Could not agree with you more, I fit most of mine with EMGs pups. I think Solar or ESP V will be the path to go (I already have Rhoads V) If you have time, please do a back to back comparison of all the Vs in your arsenal XD
@kopan14 It would be really difficult to compare them. I love each one of them. I put guitars into 2 categories: personal collection or sell. It can't get easier than that. Thanks for the comment. If you haven't, check out some more of my videos. Take care brother.
About 2 weeks. It came from Spain to California. They actually charged me an import charge of just over 100 dollars to getbit to the states. The website didn't say that this was required. But it did say that there can be a charge. It was pretty quick, though. Thanks for the comment. Take care, and I hope this helps.
Solar-guitars.com and choose the E style. They always have the outlet store. I bought the first Red V there for a better price than new. Thanks for the comment. Take care.
Should give Dave mustaine's vmnt signature series guitars before he left dean,,,and I do love ola,,but he does put down some musician's,,not recognizing the face Dave mustaine is a legacy metal musician,,,not many legacy bands left .....be well....what do you think of solar guitar's,,,I really want a solar v with passive pickups....
Thank you so much for commenting on the ola angle in my video. I had to take a shot, though it was a soft shot because I hate reviewers that just want to hate on people. I try to be respectful, I think that is the way that it should be. The Solar sounded good with the factory pickups and it was nicely built and played good. I took the factory pickups out of course for Emgs. They actually sold quick on Ebay, so people like them. I have 3 Dean Dave Mustaine guitars. About 5 years or so ago they were around $600 used, and I was picking them up when I could, I always try to stay with the Korean models, they are great. Thanks for the comment. Keep them coming. Take care.
@@Larryjo194 being respectful is all you can do ,,as I said I love ola ,,but he does sometimes put people down who know less than he does about guitar's,,pretty sure I have been building guitar's longer than ola has been playing guitar,I am 48,and started building, and making guitars when I was 18,because I could never find guitars I actually like until I made, and switched to playing v style guitars,,the only guitar's in my collection I have I built but only guitar's I have not built or modified are my 8 Dave mustaine vmnt guitars, and my 3 Solar v guitars..
