One thing I noted, I am an alumni of LDC finished my M.Phil in 2015. I didn’t learn French at college, but now I have realized the importance of this language and am taking extra classes from an institution to learn it. The awareness about learning the French language and courses at college is essential. The speaker here is trying to make the understanding as easy as possible by using both English and French. Trust me, she is one of the best resource persons I have seen. She is so good at what she is doing-imparting French knowledge to the girls. The utter silence from the crowd whenever she asked questions made me wonder whether our Doakians understood what was happening. I saw the speaker making constant funny remarks at them. At one point, when she didn’t get answers, she said, “I think they are dead.” That was not the only comment she passed, but there were many more. I wish our girls took serious steps to get involved in the process of learning by participating in the conversation she is trying to develop. Dear kiddos, use the opportunities, get involved, participate, and please use the resources at our college as much as possible. Let no spokesperson ridicule your silence. Speak when you ought to speak!
