Ya gotta bait those UA-camrs with a trendy title like, "When You Listen to Animals as Leaders, but You Only Play Drums, Piano, and Trumpet", or go hard with, "Top 10 Instruments to Cover Animals as Leaders with, But There's Only 3".
Some time great stuff is also famous, sometimes it's not. The latter may happen more often, but at least we've got the amazing luck to know and enjoy this work. I feel a gratitude for how this cover is taking hold of me.
Yeah with the intriguing rhythmic effect of the thumping and djenty shit. Javier and Tosin are next level composers, they hear sounds no one else could have conceptualized. Musicianship is top tier they are hella underrated and because of the labeling of subgenres and stuff. People who close their minds to music that gets a certain label are missing out, because once you give a good listen, and give it your undivided attention, you can appreciate it's unique beauty. These 2 guitar players and Matt the drummer are vessels of divine expression.
The Madness of Many is an examplary demonstration of the technical and expressive prowess that AAL possess on all fronts. In less fancy terms, they're dope af.
Bebopopotamus Yeah, that's the first song I heard from him, exactly when I wanted some piano djent with trash stack cymbals! :) There's a live studio version of drip (another song from him) here on the tubes. I found that pretty awesome! Recommend to check it out!
The piano parts resemble something Tigran Hamasyan would write and play. Truly exceptional that you've recorded all three instruments by yourself. Wonderful cover!
This is incredibly impressive. I was expecting a group of kids poorly attempting to play a song way above their skill level but this surpassed my expectations for miles
Sax too! Tosin takes a lot of influence in his songwriting and soloing style from Allan Holdsworth, who often said that his instrument of choice would have been saxophone, and that he spent his career trying to make the guitar sound like that and not like itself.
This is my first comment on youtube. After all these years i sweared myself to never comment on youtube. But this is just too good. I can´t resist. I want to congratulate you on this fantastic piece of art. And i admire your skills on all those instruments. This is true musical genius - i´m speechless!
I have been making multi-instrumental videos for 15 years, all instruments. What you have done here is one of my favorite things I've ever had the pleasure to listening to and singing. You did the whole song... you are absolutely amazing, beyond comprehension. You must have put so much work into this.
I'm speechless. It's insane how good this is. Well played, well mixed, and the fact you played all 3 instruments would leave even AAL in awe. Good freakin job dude!
The soft part literally brought me to tears... Grooving to the heavy parts to an extreme extent...This is one of the best covers of this song I have ever heard, hands down!
I'm more impressed with he arrangement then anything. fantastic playing but without such great arranging skills it would have meant nothing. Fantastic work friend.
Man a good translation to trumpet on that guitar lead i always that it had a jazzy trumpet vibe cool to hear someone as good as you make it a reality. Good job man hope you do more covers
This is absolutely staggering. You have worked hard, and it has really payed off. This blew both me and my friend away, as I saw it on my recommended and played it through discord. +1sub and shared to my facebook.
I’ve listened to this so many times. So brilliant. I love AAL but with the distortion/effects they use some of the complexity and musicality of the chords get a tiny bit lost. However, with piano and trumpet as the main instruments, you really see the beauty in all the chord changes very clearly. Amazing. Do another!
I appreciate that you chose to stay with the original middle solo. It's my favorite version. I know it's one of the few improvisational solos that Tosin ever does. In fact it may be the only one that he ever truly improvs live compared to all of his other solos where he stays true to the studio version. Amazing cover, dude.
Boy, that trumpet part might not sound especially impressive to the layman, but his tonguing during the fast tapped guitar is insanely clean. That's some serious chops!
The sad thing is ... I just found this video and you have only 4 other uploads so for the next 5 months I'll have to watch this video over and over again as nothing can inspire me any more than this
Wow! Extremely impressive! I love how you emphasized the jazz voicings with the instruments you had in your arsenal. This song sounds extremely good played this way.
I know it's super late but i listen to this all the time. I love what you've done with this song. I wish you would come back because this music/video shows how you have so much talent.
Never get sick of this cover actually it makes me wanna cry, there is something I can't describe about this version , love the dog, but cover it's simply amazing.
Every once in a while, I always come here to watch this video and in every time that I see it, I get the same vibes from the first time. I believe that I've seen this video more times than I've watched any one of the AAL's videos of this song. Nice approach of the original song, loved the jazzy vibes.
Excellent job on the drum part after the guitar interlude, you are one of the only people who play it correctly and it’s extremely hard! After I realized you were playing every instrument- mind blown.
are u kidding me? this is ridiculous, how can you master such different instruments like drums piano and trumpet? what else u play??? insane, you are genius!! congrats
I'm astonished. The drum part is hard enough as it is, and then trumpet is such a ridiculously different realm of instrument playing. Then piano! Bravo.
Just one instrument and i would have been impressed... but this? Man you're gifted, hopefully you will be acknowledged as a pure genius because you are. This is amazing!
This is the most amazing cover i've ever heard in my entire life. I never thought I'd say this, but this is better than the original, and i fucking love the original.
So talented man. the trumpet parts dont come through at times, but i dont expect you to be able to play that many notes in succession at that speed haha. Awesome cover. very unique. Subbed.
i feel like the trumpet could've done with more long notes and glissing instead of there being so much articulation in some of the note heavy sections. i feel like the part he's playing is trying too hard to recreate the guitar melody on trumpet, rather than playing the part as if it were a trumpet part, if that makes any sense at all.
Hm interesting, I actually found the trumpet part the most impressive. Some insanely clean tonguing for the speed he's playing it at. The only thing that's doesn't quite translate to the original for me is the timbre of the trumpet.
Wait... waaait.. wait wait... it's the same guy playing all the instruments? Damn son!
wtfffff :'D
Not just that, it seems he recorded and mixed it too. Over achiever is an understatement for this guy!
WHAT IS HAPPPENING
I think he's from a different galaxy....
actually he's in a quantum superposition and can play all those instruments at the same time :o
The drum cover alone would've been impressive. Damn.
Seriously
i'd willingly subscribe to hearing that crisp hi-hat forever
The only thing this video is missing is millions of views.
Ya gotta bait those UA-camrs with a trendy title like, "When You Listen to Animals as Leaders, but You Only Play Drums, Piano, and Trumpet", or go hard with, "Top 10 Instruments to Cover Animals as Leaders with, But There's Only 3".
Aaron Lanegan no kidding this is fucking ridiculous
Some time great stuff is also famous, sometimes it's not. The latter may happen more often, but at least we've got the amazing luck to know and enjoy this work. I feel a gratitude for how this cover is taking hold of me.
Mainstream will never be ready to listen to good music
Unbelievable that you can play this many instruments at such an expertise
Commenting to bless you with the opportunity to rewatch this masterpiece
I love how AAL's compositions are pretty much just modern jazz voiced for a jazz fusion/metal band. So good!
Yeah with the intriguing rhythmic effect of the thumping and djenty shit. Javier and Tosin are next level composers, they hear sounds no one else could have conceptualized. Musicianship is top tier they are hella underrated and because of the labeling of subgenres and stuff. Abuv Entertainment Very well said.
The Madness of Many is an examplary demonstration of the technical and expressive prowess that AAL possess on all fronts.
In less fancy terms, they're dope af.
confirmed a piano can djent
Raymond Albert Tibod and what about a trumpet??
Look up Tigran Hamasyan "Entertain Me"
Raymond Albert Tibod of course it can, look at all those strings
How else do you get past the bends, djent of course.
Bebopopotamus
Yeah, that's the first song I heard from him, exactly when I wanted some piano djent with trash stack cymbals! :)
There's a live studio version of drip (another song from him) here on the tubes. I found that pretty awesome! Recommend to check it out!
BRO!!!!! This is the culmination of the most crazy amount of effort by one person ever in a music video.
he prob also set up everything, filmed, recorded audio, then mixed, edited vid, and put everything together too.
This is legendary. But this is a contender to beat it

This is incredibly impressive. I was expecting a group of kids poorly attempting to play a song way above their skill level but this surpassed my expectations for miles
This is real smooth djazz!
Тит Пулеон oh you. . .
I'd like to hear more Trumpet versions of AAL Guitar Solos.
Me too!
I thought it was a Ska version at first but I loved it!
I'd like to hear a CAFO trumpet cover xD
Sax too! Tosin takes a lot of influence in his songwriting and soloing style from Allan Holdsworth, who often said that his instrument of choice would have been saxophone, and that he spent his career trying to make the guitar sound like that and not like itself.
the opening trumpet actually sounds like the sun rising wishing you a wonderful morning. One of my favorite covers ever.
This is my first comment on youtube. After all these years i sweared myself to never comment on youtube. But this is just too good. I can´t resist.
I want to congratulate you on this fantastic piece of art. And i admire your skills on all those instruments.

What will your first reply be?
Still waiting to know what his first reply with be
Agreed
Great first comment.

Mostly came here to hear a version with a different drum sound, found a whole other atmosphere. None of what I expected, exactly what I wanted
The soft part literally brought me to tears... Grooving to the heavy parts to an extreme extent...This is one of the best covers of this song I have ever heard, hands down!
this is incredible and speaks so much to tosin's writing... and also your capabilities as a musician. damn.
I'm more impressed with he arrangement then anything. fantastic playing but without such great arranging skills it would have meant nothing. Fantastic work friend.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more astonished by a single musician in my life! This is inspiring
pretty sure you just invented a new music genre, Djazz. This is incredible. 👏👏
Check out Tigran Hamasyan. Sorry I'm 4 years late
I never have high expectations when i watch people cover songs, but this was seriously incredible!
Spurvlek you should check out some meshuggah percussion arrangements, if you haven't already.
It took me a few months to learn this just on drums, let alone on trumpet and piano as well. What a talented guy.
Man a good translation to trumpet on that guitar lead i always that it had a jazzy trumpet vibe cool to hear someone as good as you make it a reality. Good job man hope you do more covers
i wish there was such a thing as youtube silver/gold/platinum like reddit so i could give this dude something more than a frikin well deserved like
This is absolutely staggering. You have worked hard, and it has really payed off. This blew both me and my friend away, as I saw it on my recommended and played it through discord. +1sub and shared to my facebook.
BTW, I comented on your Mind Spun cover, not 2 years ago. Thank you for your effort.
I’ve listened to this so many times. So brilliant. I love AAL but with the distortion/effects they use some of the complexity and musicality of the chords get a tiny bit lost. Dude you are so right... It gets to be too much at once sonetines... But you know underneath lies THIS!

This is easily among the most inspiring things I've seen on youtube. Thank you for creating this; I'm positively giddy at how wonderful it is.
Sounds like something Tigran Hamasyan would play!
Boy, that trumpet part might not sound especially impressive to the layman, but his tonguing during the fast tapped guitar is insanely clean. That's some serious chops!
this is brilliant. I hope the band sees this.
This is so technically impressive, but he makes it look so effortless, and everything glides together so smoothly - absolutely well fucking done
So good. That Trumpet Solo. SO GOOD.
The sad thing is ... I just found this video and you have only 4 other uploads so for the next 5 months I'll have to watch this video over and over again as nothing can inspire me any more than this
This brought a warm tear to my ice cold heart on this rainy day
I'm amazed at how on point those drums are.
Wow! Extremely impressive! I love how you emphasized the jazz voicings with the instruments you had in your arsenal. This song sounds extremely good played this way.
Seriously man that was amazing, you truly deserve so much more recognition for this. Keep doing what you're doing!
Your playing style is really unique and controlled. Also the cover is amazingly creative! Keep it up!
crazy how much more jazz like this song becomes in this format
this version deserves millions of views!
Thank you so much for this!
The beginning was amazing, the piano and trumpet sounded beautiful
You sir are a freak. Learning any one of the three parts would be an accomplishment. So good!
This oozes Tigran Hamasyan style. I am absolutely in love.
And that trumpet so is so sick. And the section after the solo hits hard as hell.
Here we go again with these covers that make me stop wondering how this guy even does it. Stellar job.
Have Tosin, Javier and Matt watched this video!!??
was just thinking that, i'm sure they would be super pleased
I absolutely love all of these non-metal music styles that are covering these sacred songs
This is magnificent! Has a bit of a Bill Laurance feel to it. So crisp, and the dynamics are sensational!
this still unbelievable, just insane! many instruments at a insane level, just insane how deep can music skills be
How am I just now seeing this. It's a masterpiece. Phenomenal!
Dude. HANDS DOWN best AAL I have ever seen on UA-cam. Awesome 👏
I know it's super late but i listen to this all the time. I love what you've done with this song. I wish you would come back because this music/video shows how you have so much talent.
Never get sick of this cover actually it makes me wanna cry, there is something I can't describe about this version , love the dog, but cover it's simply amazing.
I keep coming back to listen to this fantastic arrangement so well done
This could fit perfectly on a Tarantino movie.
Excelent cover!
Been listening to this cover this last 6 years. I like it better than the original. It's amazing.
I couldn’t tell you how many times I have rewatched this video but I am always amazed at your talent. Well done sir!

This is amazing man, awesome cover!
Holy crap, that's a lot of skill for one guy. Triplets, I'm calling it
I appreciate what humanity is capable of. This was fantastic

How unbelievably cool man what a great interpretation. The talent is pushing the limits of mankind
Your song All Walking is now one of my favorite songs. I am glad I found you through this video!
I'm astonished. The drum part is hard enough as it is, and then trumpet is such a ridiculously different realm of instrument playing. Then piano! Bravo.
the trumpet+piano fits perfectly to the second part of this song. I'm in awe! congratulations guys, keep the awesome work
Why would someone dislike this GIFT... Thank you Aivar!!! Awesome musical skills...
Just one instrument and i would have been impressed... but this? Man you're gifted, hopefully you will be acknowledged as a pure genius because you are. This is amazing!
Amazing! Drums were sick and you made it so unique with the piano and trumpet. And you played all the parts to top it all off
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING I HAVE SEEN ALL WEEK
Holy fucking shit. I shed tears literally four times while watching this.
Great cover. Tasteful, and Abasi's composition works great in jazz style. Serious talent btw...all 3 instruments. Bravo

I've had plenty of AAL classical covers give me goosebumps, this one also made me gasp the whole time. Fantastic!
This is the best cover I have seen of this song. Period
5:42 Those chops though... just wow.
Out-fucking-standing man. Beautiful rendition. I'd say it's right there with the original. The original is a 5, and you're a 4.99999 my man.
Damn - to play this effortlessly on all of these instruments is really remarkable! Well done!
All three! Holy smokes, those drum parts are hard enough as is. Great job!
I'm an AAL fan and this is really, really well done. The orchestration is perfect.
This is absolutely fantastic , major props. Beautiful work.
I can barely play this on drums and you played it on three different instruments... Insanity. Awesome job.
I just can't describe how much I love this. You're amazing
This is the most amazing cover i've ever heard in my entire life. I never thought I'd say this, but this is better than the original, and i fucking love the original.
i would argue that this is way better than the original
It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize it was one guy playing every part. Fantastic cover.
Alexander Mesiti I caught it at around 30s....
From the end🤦🏻♂️
oh man! super impressive rendition and playing. what an exceptional version of a quality song. Well done!
Kind of Mouse on the Keys vibes there..
I agree about the trumpet parts but for some reason the trumpet is still what i like most about this...
Hm interesting, I actually found the trumpet part the most impressive. Some insanely clean tonguing for the speed he's playing it at. The only thing that's doesn't quite translate to the original for me is the timbre of the trumpet.
Ahh that drum part! So great. Awesome job!
This is ubelievable, beautiful, amazing, transcendent… wow
