Thanks Greta. It was a very worthwhile visit, with much learned by me. Onwards for the room reveal, though the tomato seedlings are taking the new surroundings very much in their stride... 😀
Hurrah for Sunday CHAT!.....erm....on a Monday.....my head is a mess now trying to work out what the heck day of the week it is. How very dare you both to have lives outside of this little square! Hurrah for plastic free shops.....there's a new one opening near me (well, about 3 miles away with no direct bus service which is a real pain in the artichokes).....I hope these shops spread like an outbreak of the pox! I'll be sowing my Trail of Tears this week......and no doubt crying over them as I do with such a story behind them. :-( On a lighter note it gives me great joy to see Richard puckering up with some balm. :-)
On chatting with Vanessa they were inundated over the weekend, and even yesterday when they thought it would be quiet. So glad. Fingers crossed it continues. It is certainly a beans week, and a courgette week for us. Richard's puckering has become very elastic with your soothing, moisturising balm!! 😀
Ireland is on my Bucket list actually the only place I really want to travel too. Can't wait to see the reveal Richard. You're right Paul, never can have too many seeds.I like to stick a couple of surprise seeds in every bed-just for fun. Some times it's flowers some times it's veges.mix them all up and plant. I do my cottage garden that way too.lol
Another great chat night..your mention of the Men in Sheds had me thinking of my home on the Isle of Man where the men in sheds is quite a popular pastime, most likely if I was still at home I would be one of the men in a shed .....
Thanks Stephen, it's great to have all these initiatives around the country. I may be on the Isle of Man later this year, the first time in maybe 35 years. 🙂
Thanks so much for this chat, guys. I figured I'd have to wait until next Sunday. I don't have to feel fat, just look down at my gut. Sigh. Got to start walking before it becomes too hot to move. Both of you make it easy to read lips. :) ~ Jon in rural BC, Canada
Lovely. Thanks for the cheerful vid. The store opening vid was exciting! Mayor/Mayoress ... my cousin is the mayor of Gloucester (I know! She grew up here in the states but married a native of England about the same time I moved to NYC) and she goes by "Mayor". Paul, I love your shirt! Ditto your scarf, Richard! Great colors.
Morning boys 🙋 only video I’ve watched since i watched your last lol (2 much going on here) and the get up and go has got up and gone at the mo but this has fairly cheered me up 👍😁. I shall now push myself and go and watch the store opening 😉 have a great week 💖💋 hugs xx 🤗
That was a quick delivery. I was waiting for you to attempt to read the Finnish names of some of those seeds. I provided hours of entertainment and laughter for Finns when they asked me to pronounce sytytystulppa😂😅
Actually Rob they arrived as we were leaving for the opening of For Earth's Sake and me flying to Northern Ireland. Very excited to be growing these. I may try the Finnish names next week!! 😀
I thnk you will enjoy them they are very prolific and have a great taste. The Hurst Greenshaft are an excellent pea as well, you get 8-9 peas per pod. THe borage is a very good bee plant and the sunflowers will grow to well over 7 foot. Richard might appreciate the butterfly flowers they are lovely and easy to grow when broadcast.
Neither of us has either been brave enough to check the chimney. But I am sure Richard is right. If so, it will eventually end up on the compost heap. 😀
Richard I’m with you on this dreary Monday. Lots of rain ☔️ today and Sunday here in Nashville. Looking forward to full sun. 🌞 Paul your trip to Ireland sounds wonderful. Sheep too! What’s the “sunflower challenge?” Is this strictly a British thing? Best to you both! 😊
I’d like to go to Northern Ireland. I love the brogue. Used to hate it when we first got Paisley on tv but suddenly I really liked the rich strong tones.
Fudge Me.. R&P... LOL... Just another manic Monday.. Hey!.. Cheer up Richard.. X... You don't look Fat BTW... For earths sake boys.. Vanesa's shop will be great i'm sure.. Jenny Seagrove Eh! ???.. Good girl Jenny.. God bless for.. for showing the love too her... maybe the mayoresses husband will b the Mayorman. Who Knows? Great Upload Ireland is cool Richard… Goo t o see you liked the south mate. :-)
I’ve been pawing through the Real Seed Co. online catalogue (yes, I’m already think about seeds for next year lol) and the Cherokee Trail of Tears bean is something I’ll definitely be growing next year 👍🏼
Paul Savident You’re super kind, but to be honest until I get the courtyard beds up and running I’m not going to be able to grow any more beans than I’ve already planned for (otherwise I’d grow ALLLLL the beans lol). I don’t really want to buy more pots than I’ve got (plastic etc, yuck) and I’m reusing all sorts of things just now and trying to figure out how to make my pots stable enough once cane wigwams and plants are up them etc. It’ll be like the hanging gardens of Babylon here next year!! Bless you though xx
Was on Cherokee Indian reservation in Oklahoma visiting friends ..that Trail of Tears Was a Travesty by our government😢 with that being said enjoyed the ChaaaT! 💌
Thanks for the chat! Ireland sounded like a great trip. Can't wait for the reveal and more from the wee fairy folk

I just love the Vivi Balm. I've been using on my decorator's hands recently...just love the way it seems to disappear into the skin.

Thanks Jon, and I know what you mean about looking down! 🤔 Hopefully the weather will improve and I can get out walking more. 😀
Poor Richard, everything is going south, wahah lol, Manic Monday chat. Loved it. Keep up the good work, take care you both , Joyce
Glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed the Monday Chat! Definitely worth the wait hearing about the travels and the wonderful and greatly needed shop opening.
Cheers,
Rob
Thanks Rob. More shops of this kind are very welcome. 😀
My blue feeling is gone now after watching this😇😂

Gloucester is a lovely place. Have you visited? And I do rather like this shirt, which was given to me by a good friend. 😀
@@paulsavident No, I have not visited, but I want to. In fact I've never been to England... one of these days...
Good and funny too

Hahahaha. Great chat time. I half expected you two to break out into a wrestling match. Hahaha. So funny you two are. What fell down the chimney?
I have no idea what it was falling down the chimney... possibly bird poo..
Neither of us has either been brave enough to check the chimney. But I am sure Richard is right. If so, it will eventually end up on the compost heap. 😀
Richard I can't wait for the reveal! I remember those candles! Have a fab night! 😁

The Sunflower Challenge is an open challenge, I will tell more on the video, and I don't think it is just British. I will check. 😀
Thanks Paul, I have some Titan sunflowers I sowed, which are doing well. 🌻🌻🌻

Kieran, NI and RoI can be quite beguiling. 😀

I'm just having one of those days where I feel like a fudging fat fudger.
NI and the RoI have some very special places, nd also many that are not. Fortunately I have seen many of the amazing places. 😀

Anna. It seems governments are created for travesties, one just hopes one day we can change them for the better... 😀
CHAT!!!
MONDAY!!! 😀
Jenny is also well known in the U.S.
That's good to know!
😀
Trail of tears is a big black eye for america :-(
It is for sure. Sadly ours isn’t the only country guilty of such atrocities. 😞
Indeed, and each country has it's own shame, may emanating from our British Isles!! 😀
Is this streamed live?
No, it's always pre recorded on a Sunday morning. 😊
