What an excellent overview
It is fun and amazing to realize that every type of sport has its own 'culture', being soccer, tennis, rugby, mountain climbing, biking, skating name it. From macho, to individual ego's, money focussed or introverte, team spirit, name it.
But this sport is so special, apart from the technical side. These interviews are excellent (chapeau) to get inside in the mental part. Result? Its about endurance, honest, modest, personal, approachable, its about 'modern' sport pur sang. You deserve many credits. Be safe!! And go Rosie ...🤗
Really appreciate these interviews. They really help to 'colour' my understanding of 'what comes next'.
Epic compilation of video and interviews. Kudos to all who participated ... from first time Southern Ocean Will Harris to Benjamin Dutreux to Sam Davies: great perspective. Go all!!
Great storytelling. To tomorrow, keeping the dream alive.
Malizia Seaexplorer had the best boat regarding wave performance and inside comfort. On the extra long leg this creates a fitter team and maybe a better mood (?) And they won! That was an impressive performance after a mast repair and loss of a sail...
All the best to all Teams on this big one.
But ... Fly Malizia, fly ⛵
Will be watching closely on the tracker! Incredible sailors!
What a superb insight to the realities racing in the Southern Ocean! Thank you for producing this excellent piece!
Thanks for the report Niall. Best of luck to all the teams. Stay Safe.
Great coverage, smart questions and amazing sailors.
Really good video. Loved the inside perspective of what is going on to prepare. Both mentally and physically. I cannot believe the calories consumed.i am looking forward to a safe journey for all crews.
The best video of all, thank you. I learned a lot from this type of information, it is motivating and gives you strength. The best for all teams in this leg!
what a great insight, thank you very much !
thanks for asking questions! very interesting
Go go GO !!! TEAM MILAZIA!!!
Great video, thanks. Go Mailzia!
Great vid! Would love to hear you talk to the sailors about breaching and how that effects the race!
I so look forward to the possibility of some more of the great drone video in this leg. Super idea to have a designated journalist to allow us to share a bit of these boats sailing.
Amazing Andy. Life truly is about planning and perseverance. The beauty I’m observing is you your brother and sister in law on a mission yet keeping your lives independent with the goals you have. A close and loving family make it all worth while.
Thanks again for sharing. Stay well Andy
Great job Niall! This was very insightful!
Tenhamos força e muita alegria para chegarmos juntos numa linda festa em Itajaí SC, Brasil. 💐🇧🇷
great series of interviews & insight, thank you.
Very inciteful,thanks
Go Team Malizia!
Please keep the background music in the background. The music could also be less pompous. The Ocean Race is impressive enough by itself.
Why have the planners made the leg longer than previous editions?
💚
Anyone know what kind of drysuit that was?
A somewhat unusual leg to come. Next edition, stopping in SAF will be tricky at the pace it is drifting towards russia
💐🇧🇷
What happens to the VO65?
They just compete in the European legs, 1,6,7, and the Kiel fly-by....
