Nothing better than fresh mackerel!
Zoe wanted the pork chops, @katenash5981 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣
Great video, I love your sense of humour.
Thanks so much, @carolynandcocohaywood2638 👍👍
mackerel looked good especially as you never had a filleting knife ,fish is always best straight from the sea ,and the scenery is wonderful ,
From sea to plate, @grahamunderwood9353 👍👍
What beautiful castle 🏰 it’s amazing how they made them isn’t it, skills lost for a lifetime. Well done on the fish 🐠 filleting, can’t say no to a free lunch! Em 💜
Thanks @vansforthememories 👍👍
I love mackerel.
So do I, @KarenG.-qs7wc but I didn't know it then 🤣👍
Welcome to Ireland. Stay safe and enjoy.
Will do, @tstuart7333. It's a beautiful place. Thanks 👍👍.
Went with van 3 years ago and after a stay with friends in Donegal went to Cashel on the way south. Can’t think of many days when it didn’t rain. also struggled to find open sites at this time of year but still a beautiful place.
It is a beautiful country, @bertie6358. Thanks for sharing
Hi Ads Zoe, fresh Mackerel is my favourite fish, I prepare it by cutting off the head, gut and wash the fish, then get a frying pan hot with a little cooking oil and fry one side then turn over to the other side until cooked, serve on plate, pull tail fin to remove spine and most of the bones, it's easier than filleting, because I can't do it, great Vlog, look forwards to the rest of your tour of Ireland, Regards Bob
Thanks for the tip, @bob-og1ih. That's what we'll do next time 👍👍.
Wrapped in tinfoil & cooked on the bq lovely😊
We'll try that next time, @christinemarchant4678 👍
Miss a 😊ferry ride that castle looks good 👍
It was very good, @Mikescamperadventures 👍👍
We have yet to take our van to Ireland, it's on the agenda one day. However, we have visited the Rock Of Cashel where I experienced something I'd only ever heard about and never thought it possible. There were gale force winds and as I walked through an archway I had just exhaled. The sideways wind was so strong that I was not able to inhale no matter how I tried to force myself. It lasted a few seconds and was quite enjoyably scary. I had to step backward behind the wall to then inhale. I've been to some windy places in my time but Cashel literally took my breath away.
Wow and the winds took a side of the abbey down - very strong, @deaddave8805. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Be careful on those cliffs!! Love mackerel, it looked very nice. have a great trip.
Thanks @suepither8642 👍👍
well I have only ever had mackerell from a can....... but that did look yummy...
...and I've never had mackerell from a can, @lynmoore8355 only vacuum packed and now fresh 🥰
Looks yum, but of garlic butter would of been nice. Couldn't tag our photo but we got bogged down at the field by Carrigaholt pier had to get the local farmer out on a Sunday morning with his tracker to tow us😂
Oh no! Good job you managed to get it out, @famaley942. Couldn't you use the car park?
Welcome to the Emerald Isle! If you happen to get to Armagh City on your travels, please be free to make contact. Dinner / Lunch / Coffee on me. 👍😀☘️
Thanks so much, @GeoffAnthonyClinics. Unfortunately, we didn't travel that far north but the is very kind of you 👍👍
The scenery looked beautiful. I don’t think I would be able to stand so near to the edge. Steve would have loved the mackerel I think I’d only have a taste. 😂 Take care Gill
Yes, I was a bit close to the edge, Gill 🤣 but the mackerel was lovely.
Schloss is German for castle 😊
Thanks @bathroomjon1 👍👍
My God! That was very brave going to the edge of the cliff like that 😶... great video 👍
I could have gone out further, Sean but it was a bit windy. 👍👍
So far your Atlantic Way trip looks stunning. even with the weather, it just adds to it. When you where looking at Lovers Leap I was just wished I was there in my Sea Kayak exploring it from the sea as it looks very impressive by the drone shots.
It was all impressive, @DiggerBuckett. The weather changed again the next day and the next. That gap is wide enough for a kayak probably too many crashing waves though
@@HermanHitstheRoadThe sea didn’t look too bad. There are some that will play in very rough conditions, but they are well and truly above my skill level at the moment. I have played on rocky islets in Scotland where the sea state was similar to how it looked on your foot, that was on a sit on top that are much more stable than my sea kayak is. The stability in those comes from the paddlers skill level.
Great vid guys - looks great - hoping to get to Ireland next year - currently in Malaga Spain on a 3 month road trip in our camper 😊
Three months? Now that would be nice, @bathroomjon1 👍👍👍
I think you'll find that those mackerel we're in the ocean not the sea...just saying 😆
Ha ha, pedantic 🤣🤣.
Thanks for commenting, @vhog5432
It’s the only way to eat Mackerel,Out of the water into the pan.
Too right, @hunter9372 👍👍. I'm converted
Well done you two... fresh mackerel... there is nothing like it.. Eire is pronounced Air ra. It is the Irish word for Ireland.
I just realized that you have lost your funny pointing finger. 👉
No, I still have it, @ari.voutilainen. I just forget to bring it with me.
