Вставка

- You might not know this but Shaftesbury, in Dorset (south England) is famous. It's famous for the location of where the 1970's Hovis advert was filmed by Ridley Scott (Yes, THAT Ridley Scott) but many people believe it was filmed somewhere in Yorkshire due the the Yorkshire accent in the advert. The famous hill in Shaftesbury is called Gold Hill and we pay it a visit and explore the quaint town.
We aim to publish a video each week, every Sunday at 4pm (UK time).

That ad was directed by the great Ridley Scott ....
I know, @bas6628. Amazing right?👍👍😀
I remember that advert very well. You just called me "old folk"😮 Cheeky😤
Haha sorry, @KarenG.-qs7wc but you and me, both 🤣🤣
I did have a jigsaw puzzle of Gold Hill
Hahaha, I don't know what to say about that, @julietebbs4432 but thank 🤣👍🤣👍
Fab video - never been to gold hill even though it’s not so far for us to go. We have always loved your sense of humour (evidently not everyone gets it 😂). Looking forward to seeing you both soon xx
Oh yes, a sense of humour - that was what is missing 👍😉🤣
Thanks @CraftyCampervanners 👍👍
Hope you find it to be condensation , but from my experience it’s usually not that easy I spent a good while putting masking tape over different suspected areas on the rear of my 2001 hymer to eventually find the fault which was the rear window seal , and now all sorted for a couple of years , also thanks to you and Chas I’ve just spent a full week repairing my rear garage floor in my hymer , and used your great floor damage repair video has my guide , thanks lads and obviously Zoe also
Thanks @drexelspivey6472 👍👍 . It is condensation. I made a short video looking for the cause of the leak
Did I hear Zoe saying "pissing it down"? I'm shocked! I thought she was a lady 😂
A lady? Zoe? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Zoe is the epiphany of an English rose. Smart elegant and well spoken ps funny as hell too..
What, kevinhodge6700, Zoe? Are you sure you're commenting on the correct channel? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (she's gonna kill me with those prickly thorns of hers when she reads this 🤣🤣)
Carl Barlow was the young actor who did the hovis advert. He’s now 64.
Re the condensation in the garage. I’m assuming that you have a blown air heating system? Could you adapt the heating system to vent some warm air into that area via extra piping? It may solve your issue.
Thanks for the idea, @philiptabberer9796 it should be possible
We get condensation from cooking inside our van. Ventilattion and more Ventilattion will cure it.
Yeah, cooking does create a lot of condensation, @MG-cp8xk
Hello we had condensation in the garage, fixed by sticking fourway carpet on the back wall and also the doors, covering the metal parts. Carpet and adhesive £40 and easy to fit. Floor covered with interlocking rubber matt, ( Halfords ) we also use a low wattage dehumidifier in the motohome as we full-time.
I don't know what 4-way carpet is, @mpjkea2000. A low wattage dehumidifier might be the way to go though. Which one do you have?
Great video. Could you let us know what the site was that you stayed on. Thanks
Thanks @sammonks1258 👍👍. The campsite is mentioned in the video
Awesome video, thank you ads & zoe
Thanks @hornetboy3694 👍👍
'ere. Did you just change the title?
I did, @tommo9757. Hopefully, more people will notice it. I always change the thumbnail and/or title if I think it's not working. UA-cam 101 really
Lovely to see you out and about enjoying time in Herman. Take care Gill
Thanks @Wheres_wanda_wandering 👍👍
I have to say this, why are van owners calling parking wild camping or parking, Wild camping is camping with or without a tent with no car in sight, ou in the sticks. I live full time in my motorhome off grid, i do not call it wild parking or camping. When your van has a living room, bathroom, shower, beds, cooker, fridge and in my case a twin tub washing machine and home cinema. its not wild camping is it?
Now you can car camping, that is not wild either.
Thing is it,s the UK, suppressed people where walking the dog will be deemed extreme for many so parking a 50k van in a layby must be like going to the moon. epic stuff, living on the edge lol, As dangerous as doing the TT on a 240 BHP superbike.
British van life channels are becoming a laughing stock of fake break ins and people sitting on their backsides doing nothing and i love watching them pushing human limits haha.
I agree with some of what you're saying, @Thefreerangevanlifer. It's wrong to call it "wild camping" when you're in a motorhome/campervan. "Wild parking" is a better alternative. What would you call it?
For me i park off grid, or just parking up for a few weeks to head of hiking. Wild parking no lol. You got urban roadside parking.
Its just parking or as us lot call it a park up.
TBH the country has lot the plot. 3 more new parking places up here in Scotland are now charging 10 quid to park overnight. Money grabbing madness. Yor video almost shows how bad it has become when you fare getting done for parking.
Next year I see they will be lining RV owners up, no blindfold and shooting them.
All this happened after covid. i bought my motorhome 6 months before covid, if i had known i would have never bought it.

But "Parking off grid" can also mean staying at a campsite without EHU. I think "Wild Parking" is a cross between the mass used but incorrect term "Wild Camping" and "parking". I would like to make a video on not using the "wild camping" term
@@HermanHitstheRoadI suppose "off grid" means different things to different people. To some, off grid is literally just that- living disconnected from the electric grid (no EHU on a site) For others, it represents living away from organised facilities, whether those are on a camping site or urban areas in general. It's a matter of degrees really.
Yes it has and its rather funny. could call it unplug parking. I call it park ups. or as many in the nc 500 hater group call it freeloader parking which is my favorite as i know it winds them up. or keep paying your bills while i park and live for nothing parking haha. Or beating the system parking, or balls to the system, i think is a good one as this country is on the verge of collapse @@HermanHitstheRoad
well that was a great Vvlog and your pasta dish looks awesome....
Thanks @lynmoore8355 👍👍. We're glad you enjoyed the video
Another word of advise, well a few, if you park up somewhere out the way, don't put it on here, never give out your places you park as countryside parking is rapidly coming to an end, you will get idiots placing the parking on that morons sight park 4 night.
Other advice. You said no caravans, that's a motorhome and by law the signage has to state NO MOTORHOME. My partner was a x judge. so thing likes no parking signs you can have some great fun with. NO OVERNIGHT SLEEPING SIGNS, you seen them i bet? well sit up all night. No cooking signs, well eat apples or something like it. By the rules stated you can twist them. The wording has to state. if it says no motorhome or caravans, then a campervan can stay there.
Ohh no camping s a great one, when you in a van you are not camping. Councils are as thick as shit and so are many locals who try and put people off with dumb signs.
Thanks for the advice, @Thefreerangevanlifer but it's a good way to annoy people, alienate yourself and give the motorhome, campervan and van life communities a bad name. Also, it's quite ridiculous to expect someone to sit up all night instead of sleep and eat sandwiches instead of a cooked meal - and YES you are CAMPING in a motorhome, camper or caravan.
Most of no overnight parking signs have 0 law, most signs have been put up hoping to put people off, the signs are breaking laws, false information. Look up the definition of camping, Whoever said its camping in a van? No one is camping in a van lol. unless its a new middle class and posh definition.

It's a good job they didn't go camping last weekend - the weather was awful.
We were weighed down with all our camping equipment - sleeping bags, gas cookers and pans.
I'm not keen on camping - I'd rather stay in a bed-and-breakfast where you are warm and dry.
The shop in town sells everything you need for camping, and has tents for hire at £20 a week.
Whats happened, over the years the word camping has been messed up and started to be used to van owners.

Hi the only way to stop condensation in the garage is to pipe some hot air into it i.e. from the diesel heater if possible. As the garage is acting like a fridge and we all know what the back of a fridge is like.🎉
True but that it's the same as all the windows as well, @Bob-thenomad 🙁
I went to Stourhead House long time ago, it's been used on tv?
Oh yeah, many times on TV and movies, @peterneal7160. 👍👍
STAY SAFE AND ENJOY, WHEREEVER YOU MAY FIND YOURSELVES.

Opening at the end of March....or more traditionaly referred to as Opeing in April....haha
Haha 😂 Thanks for commenting, @laurencefaux6451. I hope you enjoyed the video?
What a totally meaningless title. Also if you could park your van there it would be a very ignorant thing to do, right up against the front of someone's house on a very narrow street.I travel extensively over Europe and UK in my van but would never park like that, so what's the point?. On the subject of what it is called, it is simply parking or a park up.
Thanks for commenting, @johnhamilton5324. I hope you enjoyed the video?
I think it was meant as a joke. Ok, it's clearly not wild camping, but if you know that road, you would know not only how steep it is but also how narrow at the bottom. He mentions this in the vid. You just wouldn't (or couldn't!) park a motorhome there.
