Tip for the Metal Menagerie/metal area: Ignore any level ups and skill allocating, as that wastes your timer to be in the metal area( you can do that after you get kicked out anyways), Metal slash is the best skill against metal slimes, but honestly, just making your monsters do basic attacks on a specific slime to ensure it hopefully dies is the best way to get the most out of your visits. It has always been a staple of every dragon quest game, Both mainline and spinoff, that Metal slimes have like, 5 or 6 HP, but they have super high defense and agility, because of their metal body ability.
