Really helpful video, when starting with lead training how do you avoid the dog biting the lead and loosing focus? Thanks

So the key to lead work at the beginning is keeping it short and snappy. My first objective with my clients is always to get the dog settled on the lead first. This will normally manifest itself in pulling after that we then correct that.

I am impressed how yours are not hoovering the ground constantly (and no treats!). Not sure how to get a spaniels head off the ground when walking, and he is on cement. His sits are great - no issue there with him looking at me. A friend ruined her field spaniel over correcting to get his nose off the floor, don't want to make that mistake. Any tips?

It is difficult to get right as you want the dog to walk with his head up when it's by your side, but when it's hunting you don't want it to look at you. It's a tricky combination to get

Try and go see your local trainer, but a lot of it is natural progression, choosing the right environment and then using the lead correctly
