one thing to bear in mind is that your bootloader has to be unlocked in order for this to work. Thats done by going into developer mode first, select unlock OEM and then going through the unlock cycle.

Thank you very much. I got an urgent text message from my carrier saying I need to update the software, or it will stop working starting 2/22/2022. I tried but got software version not supported. I've been to the carrier's store, talked to a support on the phone and she said the next thing to try is factory reset. I suspect it won't work, because my Samsung Note 9 though was unlocked when I bough it, it was a TMB phone. I pop in a TMB sim card and got the same software not supported message. Also, it showed no phone service. I can imagine that's what's going to happen comes 2/22/2022. I think I may as well install the new firmware through Odin instead of a factory reset. That's how I found this video. I've been running around and stressed all day, but your video is very informative and assuring and best of all made me laugh. I just subscribed your channel.

Is there any advantage in changing from a US to a Canadian model? Lastly, with the Odin v3.14.4 is it still necessary to use the "Patched Odin".

Hi mate, my Odin is ready with the files attached. Now before I do this here is a quick rundown.
I don't fucking know why suddenly my AT&T unlocked note 20 ultra 5G suddenly says no sim..
I went to Samsung and says cannot do anything as I'm here in use Dubai and I'm using a US unlocked unit by AT&T.
He said try updating the android to last A13 Oneui 5.0. UNFORTUNATELY ATT csc is not supported by ODIN , So I had to download the T-Mobile unit files.
PLEASE CAN ANYONE ANSWER: will this fix the No sim issue I'm having issue with, and the main question is, Is it safe to flash t-mobile Android 13 patch because AT&T I cannot find any where.
Anyone, please help and comment before I push this button. Ty

U & U1 version are just different firmwares, with the U being the carrier version. You're not necessarily locked in to a carrier just by having their firmware.
You can turn your U1 to a U version by flashing Cricket's firmware. You need the three letter CSC code for Cricket to identify the right firmware to download.
Then you need to use what they call ODIN or patched ODIN to flash the firmware to your phone.
This is a breakdown of the process

My goal is to get the fresh fully unlocked firmware so that I can use said feature(s). So, my question is, should I download the Verizon version firmware, or will that just round me back to square one? I'm pretty ignorant on the subject as this is my first time looking into something like this, but how would you be able to make sure that the firmware can be changed? also would you recommend any tutorial on this topic? because although this video is pretty well done it doesn't really focus on this matter + it's over 3 years old and I'm not quite sure everything would still work the same

How do third party carriers fit into these instructions? For instance, I have an unlocked phone that I believed was originally set up with Sprint. I want to use it with Total Wireless (which uses Verizon towers). Should I be getting the Verizon download (VZW) or the unbranded download (XAA/XAS)?

hey, i bought a samsung galaxy s21 Ultra 5G which isn't providing any security patches or system updates...i've recently discovered the build number is SM-G998U which seems to be USA/Verizon build which would explain why its not showing any new updates. So looks like this phones been flashed before i bought it (from backmarket) When trying to install a UK ROM under H3G it think it is for three network on Odin i get FAIL! Re-Partition failed. i am using the patched version of Odin due to different region. i've tried a different USB cable, a different UBS port, a different machine and a different UK Rom with no luck.
I'd aso like to add that in Dev options i am able to enable USB debugging but OEM unlock doesn't exist in my dev options list.
    any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks :)

Hello, at the moment I am trying to find a suitable firmware to download.
Unfortunately, SamMobile has archived the firmware for my device, and is only available for premium users.
Throughout this whole day I have had difficulty in finding the firmware I need. As such, I am hoping if you, or anybody else, could help me locate the firmware for a Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
    Model Number:
    SM-N910G
And I believe the region code is
    XSA (for Australia)
In the mean time, I will keep on searching - but it would be wonderful if anybody else could help me out!
Thank you R3DLIN3S for the very informative video :)

Well, I'm on day 3 of trying to flash mine. I've attempted to do the slow download a couple of times (different source as sammobile only offers the one I need for premium users) and lost network connection both times during download. Thought I could find another way around it but decided it was either wait or pay. Soooo.... I'm waiting again. Wish me luck.

also, its not a bad idea to go in to power settings (advanced) and suspend the USB port power off. Over time, windows may drop power to some USB ports which are not currently transmitting data, or if windows thinks the port is inactive.

so something i noticed on that sammobile site, after you start a download at the slow sub 300kb/s rate, if you download additional firmwares they go through at 3-4mb/s LOL.
ive downloaded 2 others in the time the first got to 1gb and will have 3 done within the next hour while the original shows 8 hours left.
