NADAKA & KESHAVA - Hemavathi

This Carnatic Raga, Hemavathi, is one of my favorites and I often find myself improvising on this for hours on end. The subtle tabla rhythms makes it all the more difficult to ever want to stop.
Whether in classical or fusion, solo or accompaniment, Keshava understands the art of nuance and it is rare to find such musical maturity at this age. Now 13, his passion for Tabla and the many years of self discipline have yielded great results.
I am also proud to say that, both in music and personality, he happens to be on the top of my list of very favorite percussionists.
