To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
Yeah same. I had the first galaxy buds and a few months back I got the pro's. I don't like the new case because it is too bulky and I always have a problem opening it without looking because it feels te same on every side except the back
I actually agree. I got the buds pro as an upgrade and was kind of disappointed namely because of the fit. I got memory foam ear tips so now I probably prefer them over my buds plus but the fit is still not as good just because the plus's were so good.
I'm the same I have the original buds & the buds pro and love the sound and case of pro 's, but wing tips and fit is much better on originals especially when working out

Who's still rocking the original buds with the original galaxy watch? I personally feel like these upgrades aren't good enough yet to warrant getting any newer versions.
I would recommend upgrading to the Buds+ at the minimum. Big boost in battery life and an extra tweeter compared to the original buds, and with these new buds being announced, price drops will probably happen soon. I love my Buds+, never have to charge more then once a day. Would definitely recommend!
basically theyre all doing the same thing, so non would be good enough to warrant an upgrade. at this stage you upgrade for small features or just to have the latest.
I love, love, love the beans. I know it's hit or miss with fitment but they fit me. The anc is useless but what really sells me on them is the comfort, especially when I'm laying on my side in bed. They're the only earbuds that are comfortable when I wear them in bed.
This is the best comparison I've found on UA-cam, better than the official Samsung comparison. I especially liked that you presented all the available colours. Made it easier for me to choose the best fit. Thank you!
The Galaxy Buds+ for the win! They are the most well rounded out of the line up, longest battery life and they actually stay in your ear which should be a must for any ear piece.
The og buds fit in my ear so well, I loved those interchangeable fins. I just got the buds pro today and they kinda lose the ear seal more often than I’d like lol. They sound great tho
Owner of original buds that came with my S10+ ,but upgraded to Buds+ a year later , honestly I still haven't found yet a reason to upgrade again. The buds+ are just perfect. Top quality sound and unbeatable battery life.
I went from the Galaxy Buds straight to the Buds 2, so I'd really like to see what I am missing from the others. I care most about sound, mostly for music and videos, and charge. I loved that the Buds 1 held a long charge.
@@vishaljoseph1 I like them better. I loved the fit of the originals and was wondering the same thing about these, but I was definitely happy with the results. They are a bit lighter, but seem to fit the same as the original buds, with the only difference being the Buds 2 are more comfortable. I often will sleep with them on and the Buds 1 would hurt my ears after a few hours. The Buds 2 don't do that. I was also sketchy about them because they seem far more fragile than the Buds 1, and I have dropped the Buds 2 a few times and they are fine. I also love the way the Buds 2 look and feel. The smooth and shiny texture is awesome. I really hope you get them. Highly recommended. Oh, and if you're wondering about the sound, it seems as good, if not better than the Buds 1. I no longer had my Buds 1 to compare them myself, but I was beyond happy with the sound. Bass was perfect imo, depending on what you're listening to.
@@GeekyNerdThao93 7/10 on the buds+ 8/10 on the pros Definitely better, but not a drastic increase in quality. ANC is good when music is playing. You shouldn't be able to hear much, but it's not going to blow your mind.
Buds plus can mute the mic when in a call by "holding to turn off ambient sound" (i think its a bug, but they left it at the end). Its a very useful feature, can the new ones do this?
I do like that color scheme and shape of the Galaxy Buds 2. And I like that the starting price is not that much higher than how the others started. The Buds + were by far best on battery power and sound, but I'm enjoying my Buds Live and the bean shape. It's the most comfortable fit to my ears and the sound/mic quality are great. I think I'll wait a few months and maybe pick up the Buds 2 when I get my new Galaxy Watch 4 🤩 purely for the color scheme and cross functionality.
Great review, you helped me with my decision after my buds + batteries died. The sound quality on the buds 2 is ahead of the others especially in "dynamic" IMO.
I own 2 galaxy buds pro and I legitimately like them a lot , you get different silicon tips and I never felt like I am having a bad fit or it's loose in my ears. The noise cancelling is just great and the sound feels amazing. I would still try the buds 2 so see what's the basic difference but I am pretty sure I would prefer the buds pro.
Hey your video comparison has been the best I have ever watched about the audio buds and overall Samsung products representation. Very informative, very innovative and overall encouraging.
I really don't get why ppl don't like the lives! They are the most comfortable headphones that i ever used which is more important to me than great ANC. I can wear my love for hours with no issues.
I have both buds + and buds 2. Buds + is great for only needing one piece for ambient sounds. It also has the wing for adjustment. The buds 2 fits extremely well, even without the wing. If the buds 2 gets an upgrade on only needing one piece for ambient sounds, then I highly recommend this version.
Can you not listen to music with the buds 2 when only having one piece in? Im looking to upgrade from my buds + and dont know if i should buy the buds 2
I'm still using my buds+, just bought the buds live, sound is good too, never had the chance to test the call quality though. Both got its pros and cons, however, the one thing I love about my Buds+ is the battery life as well as the volume control when you tap behind your ears. I couldn't figure how to activate it with the live, I think it doesn't have that function. I wonder if the pro or buds 2 has it. Would definitely upgrade to one of them. Just disappointed with the battery life though of both. But it's still longer than most buds out there.
Hah same sentiment. Love my buds+ to because of the battery life (have it for a little over a year now and battery has degraded to 8-9 hours per charge) and the volume control tapping behind your ears. The live doesn't actually have it as I bought one as well. Good sound and volume can get louder than the bud+ maybe due to the open design. My old problem with the live is that it hurts the deep part of my ear canal after more than 2 hours of use, maybe coz it's not deep enough but sound again is great and very light. I was thinking of getting the buds pro but after watching reviews and reading comments, it's not as secure as the buds+, they say it's loose.
As a buds pro user, I can confirm that they do have the function where you double tap for volume control. I upgraded straight from the original buds to the pros and I couldn't be happier, they're much more sleek imo and the case is much more convenient and comfortable for carrying
I appreciate that you covered all the products in one short video. For that, I have subbed! P.S. I think I'll stick to my buds+ until the buds2 get cheap enough to justify the upgrade. Thanks for the review.
Watching this on the buds+... The only thing that can be criticized about them is not having true noise cancellation. But everything about the sound, fit and battery+charging is in my opinion top quality.
I've had the Buds + ever since they came out and I was very pleased with them, but my left bud died a few days ago so I just ordered the Buds Pro. I can't wait for them. Thanks for the comparison. I wanted the best ones sound quality wise and it seems like the Pros are the best. 😁👍🏻
Thanks very helpful, when I started looking for the next buds after wanting to upgrade me old original galaxy buds I was confused by all the options. This cleared it up!
I Recently bought the Buds Live and I am loving it as the fit is amazing, the only problem is the ANC, this only blocks out a bit of sound not all as it doesn't go all the way in your ear. It doesnt have Ambient sound bc it doesnt go all the way in your ear, by it not going all the way in ur ear then theres no need for ambient sound. But overall the buds live are good in sound and fit and in charge and play time is amazing! (Btw I bought the Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze didn't suit my S8)
@@trippyChief i bought these way after 8 months and its still in perfect conditions, depends where you bought it from, Amazon: Alright 70% Ebay: Do not trust 20% Samsung store: 100% trust
Also love the buds live, its very comfortable. The only problem is when youre listening in busy areas etc. The outside noise gets in too much even with the ANC on.
I have both Buds gen1 and the Buds+ and I am still happy with them. The Buds+ battery life is very reliable and the microphones do justice to phone calls with noisy ambient sound.
Very good video, you speak in a very understanding way and it's a pleasure when you're not english (I'm french actually) Please tell me if you see some mistakes in my comment to erase it
I loved the buds pro audio quality and noise cancellation but I returned it within a week because it caused sores in my ear hole and pain even on the smallest tip. Just a warning for those that have to use the smallest tips on in ear buds.
Exact same experience...they hurt my ears even with the smallest tip. They also kept falling off. Then within a few days only one bud would work...so I kept my Buds Plus.
I bought both the buds pro and the buds2 . Honestly I love the pop of color on the buds2 & the fit on it as well. The fit on the pro is wonky for my ears, but I love the extra functions it provides versus the buds2 . I love them both equally for its different uses . I use my buds2 for my laptop and my buds pro for my tablet .
Yes I'm curious about "clear cast / voice" I don't know how do Samsung call it... I mean to remove noises when call to somebody like traffic jam, other ppl voices and wind by directional microphone. My buds live don't have it, and it's unconvinient to other people to talk with me via phone when louder cars are driving outside my house.
I order my Galaxy Buds Pro yesterday and it arrived today. I've owned and used practically everyday, the original Galaxy Buds IconX since 2018, and they used to last 8h but now they only last about 3 hours. After wearing my Buds Pro for 15mins, my helix crus and tragus starts becoming sore, or irritated. The original Galaxy Buds were the perfect fit but can become loose in my ears after an hour or so of usage. I might have to try the Buds Live or Buds 2 maybe even go further back and go with the Buds+. Thanks for your reviews, it's helping me!
Am I the only one who absolutely LOVE the buds live. They are comfortable I can barely feel them. They don't fall off and have a great sound quality. And it's really absurd to see people criticising something for what it was actually made for hence the name LIVE. You can hear you surroundings perfectly even with both earbuds in. It is actually my daily buds especially in my line of work, no one even knows I'm wearing earbuds when I'm talking to them. Really handy. That being said, there are two thing I'm not really fond off. The battery life lasts about 7-8 hours which is not great for me. And the range, I feel like I walk 5 steps away from my phone and I lose connection. But for me the pros outweigh the cons. It is in the end a matter of preference and how you intend to use them.
I too like non sealing earbuds. I need to be able to hear my kids. The Live was my long time daily driver. It wasn't the most comfortable and the battery life wasn't great, but it worked well enough for me. Now I'm on Oladance open ear headphones. Combined with the optional charging case, the battery feels like it lasts forever.
After coming from the bud and buds + to the pros i found the pros fitment for me to be the best and I cant feel that annoying hook the first two buds had anymore which is nice! I can wear the pros for longer than 30 mins too without any pain in my ears.
Make no mistake about it,bros! Galaxy buds Pro sounds better than any other earbuds I've owned so far, including the so called Sony wf-1000xm4 most UA-camrs are hyping over. I returned Sony wf-1000xm4 for Galaxy buds pro, which I don't have any regret at all over my decision. It sounds better if not way better than Galaxy buds 2. For Sony wf-1000-xm4, the sounds begins to decline after a month of usage. The playback control button and the ambient sound of the Sony wf-1000-xm4 are complete trash. They are the worst disgusting thing about the Sony wf-1000xm4. The ambient sound I barely hear my surroundings and the playback control button isn't responsive. Galaxy buds touchpads are very responsive for forward track, previous track, and play than the Sony wf-1000-xm4. The 360 audio works really well. It sounds better than Dolby Atmos. The only downside to it the battery becomes dead after 4hrs of constant usage. The ANC needs little bit of improvement. For the ANC, I believe is because of the way the ear tips are built. Sound quality is better than Sony wf-1000xm4. The 5.0 Bluetooth is way way better than the so called Sony 5.2. I live in a two floor townhome or two storeys building here in the US. I can leave my phone from the master bedroom to the kitchen without having any interruption with my calls or music. Please don't buy Sony wf-1000xm4 because of ANC.
Heres my ranking Buds Pro > Buds Plus > Buds 2 > Buds Live > Buds Personally I ranked the Buds 2 lower than the Buds Plus cause the seal makes the plus sound better to me, they also have better battery life. Still going to keep using the Buds Pros though since they are the king, wish they had wing tips though.
Love the comparisons between all of them. I have the Buds Live and their fine for maybe an hour before the wing tip/grip thing on the side starts hurting my ears. I've tried the "use the bigger size, it's more comfortable" trick, but I have crazy small ears, so I'm glad you kept mentioning comfortability throughout the video. That, and comments were super helpful with choosing which bud would work for me
Personally I hdd to change my galaxy buds to the Pros beacause I'm allergirc to the wing tip. I loved the grip of the old ones but the pros, used for a long time, are a lot more comfortable
I have found good aftermarket tips for the buds pro that helps with the fit and sound isolation. I found the ones that comes with the pro to be very flimsy and why I feel most people has a fit problem and them falling out. I do love my live buds but have Bluetooth connection issues at times where one just drops out.. to me they sound better then the pro but again if I can get them to connect right. I will most likely pickup the buds 2. One nice thing is they use the same case from the live and pro. So if you have a case protector you can just swap them out.
thanks for the concise video, i just dropped a samusng earbud down into a sewer drain and have to buy new ones now and was decideding which is best, the buds 2 are just 100 right now, i had the buds + but i think its a good time to upgrade
Buds+ are great; too soon to upgrade for me and the battery life is the best. I think the only thing I don't like is that the case doesn't click back like on the previous one 🤷 so not really a big deal
I'm torn between buying the Buds Live and the Buds 2. I really like sealed in-ear earbuds with noise cancellation but I get ear fatigue easily since I have small ears. The sealed earbuds I have now sometimes slip out from sweat when I work out. I've heard the Buds Live are comfortable cause they don't create a seal but they also leak sound. I saw you can get silicone tips for the Live so the noise cancellation is better and they fit tighter. I would mainly use them for working out and on the plane. Does anyone have experience with either of these earbuds?
The buds live are just not good for plane rides and you won't get the right seal needed for ANC. I suggest the buds 2. Better deal and really light pair of buds
I just kinda feel like there's too many variants. They should have just released one or two but like 5 is a bit too much to keep track of. That's why airpods are so successful. They have like 2 options and both are good. Samsung has 5 or whatever and I'm still not sure which one is the most current, or which one is best.
The majority of these comments I keep on reading nothing but buds + buds+ and buds+. So I'd definitely go with those. And last option buds pro because some of them say they fall out of their ears alot or just after a few minutes.
i was looking for a video like this! as someone who got her buds and buds live as gifts (and someone just gave me a buds+ for my birthday), i needed to know how they stood against each other.
GOOD, it's amazing to see manufacturers are leaning towards more flat EQs for their earbuds. I bought my buds + refurbished for $100. Excellent fit, battery life, and sound for $100 compared to other TW earbuds *cough cough* apple.
I had the original buds for 2 years, they were great but I broke em, just got the buds+ today for 80 $. They were so hard to find and I am so happy with em even though its the same boring black that I had on the originals
@@asmith7274 I found em on Orange( network provider) site corresponding for my country(Romania) as a wierd black friday offer cuz it was only available in black and on the site only. Honestly I have no idea if orange is even available in other countries since I never looked into it, but idk maybe you will find em.
The buds+ is definitely worth it. Bigger battery, better sound with a dedicated woofer and a tweeter, more features and not to mention it's the same size and confort as the originals. I love my buds+ and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon unless they bring back the original design
Im torn between buds pro and buds 2. Buds pro can be bought at the same price or even cheaper as the buds 2 but the latter are sold with a pre order gift. Other thing is the fit. Everyone's got a different ear shape but I don't want my ears to feel tired after listening to music for a little while. Do you think the fit is such a game changer with the new buds or should I just go for the pros?
I have the pros and they ever so slightly slip out of my ears if I have just a tiny bit of earwax and without foam tips the ANC is not as good as it could be because the seal is not perfect
I've owned all of them. I feel like the fit is still a problem. I loved the AKG that shipped with the Note 8, and I need that fit! The beans were uncomfortable - I had high hopes for them. The pro are good but heavy and fall out ALL the time.
@@bigkuma6645 I've read a bunch of these comments and people are opting for the buds+ the most!! I think buds pro is prob better but it's all up to preference. The pros arent better to me cuz I haven't tried but some like them. Like I said tho the majority of people say the buds + are better!👍

Still have both the originals but, I'm upgrading.
@@truthseeker6804 completely agree, yes battery life is a good reason, but depends on your usage too

I'd probably buy the original Galaxy Buds or Buds+, because of that case, having a small case is really important to me.
Buds+ for battery life, wing tips, volume control with ear lobe tapping, and small case.
Unfortunate that they’re discontinued, really hard to get a new pair now.
@@zeethree I love my Buds+, too bad the newer buds don't have the same design which is why I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon
I have the Buds Pro, and I’m finally happy with a set of earbuds that I’ll still enjoy in 2-3 years.
what about fit? i'm in a confusion. pro or bud 2
I was in love with the buds plus they are amazing. as much as I love the square case I kinda wish they would bring back the pill case
I love, love, love the beans. I know it's hit or miss with fitment but they fit me. The anc is useless but what really sells me on them is the comfort, especially when I'm laying on my side in bed. They're the only earbuds that are comfortable when I wear them in bed.
I never thought of that their more slimmer , so they should be comfortable on ur side.
i have buds pro and buds live...buds live feels good on bed. buds pro when go out.
I'm still happy with the beans
Their anc worked ok imo.
This is the best comparison I've found on UA-cam, better than the official Samsung comparison.
I especially liked that you presented all the available colours.
Made it easier for me to choose the best fit.
Thank you!
I love the galaxy buds live because you can hear so well without needing the ambient sound turned on. Great for hearing my baby in the other room
Loved tHis video and the lighting and setup were absolutely gorgeous! Love the “mustard” soft yellow behind you.
Owner of original buds that came with my S10+ ,but upgraded to Buds+ a year later , honestly I still haven't found yet a reason to upgrade again.
The buds+ are just perfect.
Top quality sound and unbeatable battery life.
I've owned buds + and buds pro. Buds plus definitely has the best fit but I like the sound of the pros.
I went from the Galaxy Buds straight to the Buds 2, so I'd really like to see what I am missing from the others. I care most about sound, mostly for music and videos, and charge. I loved that the Buds 1 held a long charge.
How do you find the fit of the buds 2 compared to the originals?
@@vishaljoseph1 You're welcome! Happy to help
To this day I still miss my buds+. Upgraded to the pros and I still miss how they fit and reliably stayed in my ears. Even the case is better
Out of 10, what would you rate the sound quality on both though?
@@GeekyNerdThao93 7/10 on the buds+
8/10 on the pros
Definitely better, but not a drastic increase in quality. ANC is good when music is playing. You shouldn't be able to hear much, but it's not going to blow your mind.
I was planning on switching to the pros but the buds+ are just too good. Biggest reason I'm not switching is the design
Buds plus can mute the mic when in a call by "holding to turn off ambient sound" (i think its a bug, but they left it at the end). Its a very useful feature, can the new ones do this?
what no way I didn't know this!
My akg y600 have the same feature but that makes sense because they are from the same year
I do like that color scheme and shape of the Galaxy Buds 2.
Do you work out in them?
@@jerrodshack7610 I use at work and while driving! Battery life is worse than buds+ and less comfortable but sound quality is better and ANC!

Same, I love my buds pro.
They’re the most uncomfortable and horrible sounding headphones I’ve ever used

I just got my Buds2 in lavender today! Love it! 😍

@@sea_flop_flop2045 I got the buds2 and you can use only 1 headphone at once
Just sold my pros because they just didn't fit right! Now it's a toss up between the buds plus or buds2. Great review.
The buds 2 do have this feature as well, I need this feature as I originally had the buds plus but they got stolen
Nice video. Short and sweet. I'll definitely be upgrading from my current buds+ to the buds 2
I appreciate that you covered all the products in one short video. For that, I have subbed!
P.S. I think I'll stick to my buds+ until the buds2 get cheap enough to justify the upgrade. Thanks for the review.
Pre Ordered the buds 2 recently. This video helped a lot! Thanks!

Great video. Only missing a true recorded microphone test. Nice work
Love the size..... just wish that they had the wing tip!! When working out at the gym all of the other samsung wireless buds fall out
TY sir!
This was helpful for our holiday shopping.
Watching this on the buds+... The only thing that can be criticized about them is not having true noise cancellation. But everything about the sound, fit and battery+charging is in my opinion top quality.
Forgot I've seen this video before, now I'm watching again. Great video😁, thank you for the comparison.
I've had the Buds + ever since they came out and I was very pleased with them, but my left bud died a few days ago so I just ordered the Buds Pro. I can't wait for them. Thanks for the comparison. I wanted the best ones sound quality wise and it seems like the Pros are the best. 😁👍🏻
Had my original Buds since they came out, and just had to buy new buds for the exact same reason. I'm surprised they lasted this long.
How r they?
@@g_chaidez well I got the buds 2. Sound is great, but it's gonna take me a while to get use to no wing tips. Other than that they're good.
Same here, my left bud is on its death bed and i need something better. I'm trying to decide between the pros and the 2s.

I loved me live buds.. then 8 months later the right bud's sound was VERY low and couldn't fix it
@@trippyChief i bought these way after 8 months and its still in perfect conditions, depends where you bought it from, Amazon: Alright 70%

Also love the buds live, its very comfortable. The only problem is when youre listening in busy areas etc. The outside noise gets in too much even with the ANC on.
Thanks my friend! That’s exactly the video I was waiting for!!! 👏👏👏
I have both Buds gen1 and the Buds+ and I am still happy with them. The Buds+ battery life is very reliable and the microphones do justice to phone calls with noisy ambient sound.
Very good video, you speak in a very understanding way and it's a pleasure when you're not english (I'm french actually)

I am so jealous of your headphones rack behind you. It's so NEAT
Is the buds pro that much better in sound quality than buds2?
@@thedude633 i think buds pro have better anc

But the sound Its to flat
I had galaxy pro and they were quite uncomfortable so I gave them back and took buds 2 and I can say that I am super happy with them.
Great first look. Please try include a mic test if you do a full review down the line.
I think I will be getting the buds live. I just love how different they are. I currently have the buds plus and they still work fine.
I am happy the audio of this channel had improved! I had to turn the volume up much higher before.. love the videos though..
I returned my buds live and went to the buds pro, best decision of my life
Absolutely
Why?
Heres my ranking
Buds Pro > Buds Plus > Buds 2 > Buds Live > Buds
Personally I ranked the Buds 2 lower than the Buds Plus cause the seal makes the plus sound better to me, they also have better battery life.
Still going to keep using the Buds Pros though since they are the king, wish they had wing tips though.
Thank you foe this video! I've had all of them and have wondered what other people think
I tried the live buds on and my ears are just too small for them to fit comfortably...
I have buds+ and airpod pro's and still reach for my buds+ over my airpods. Love the fit, Audio, and noise cancelation.
This video just helped me pick out what buds to get for black friday, I decided to get the buds 2 and they were for sale for 109 thank you so much!
Awesome. Hope you enjoy them
I just kinda feel like there's too many variants.

Everyone's got a different ear shape but I don't want my ears to feel tired after listening to music for a little while. Do you think the fit is such a game changer with the new buds or should I just go for the pros?
Yeah it's a huge game changer for me
I have the pros and they ever so slightly slip out of my ears if I have just a tiny bit of earwax and without foam tips the ANC is not as good as it could be because the seal is not perfect

I got the buds pro for free with the phone so I guess I won't change for a while. Now, am I right to think that it's a lot of iteration in a short time, up to a point it's a bit confusing ? I mean I hope they find a form factor good enought to keep it for years and make it more iconic.

It really does.. Memory foam tips solves the issue
I want some memory tips for mine but I can't find any good ones. The seal is not as good as it could be and with just a bit of earwax they gradually slide out.
